Balcerzak Arcadian Don't be shy about making someone a Sitter for you. Even better, trade Sitter declarations so that when one of you is offline, the other is most likely online. That's a fantastic idea even. Also, I'm almost to the point now, where my resource fields take longer to build than it takes me to gather the required materials to build the next field. surprised ! Seriously though, 2 hr build time for an iron mine = blargh. What's your main building at?

Intended build path: ... oh, ******** me running. Broke my teeth earlier (yes, ALL of them, apparently not one survivor) on a VERY well defended village. So I'm now scrambling to rebuild a few soldiers. :p *laughs* Struck up a convo with him in the wake, got joking around... suddenly I had all my soldiers back. Go figure. So... for future reference, steer clear of sephiroth_98 - he's cool dude with a good sense of humor. :p

When did I manage to get more troops than you? Anyone got someone nearby they want me to break, so that they can get in and get a few resources for themselves?

I'm shifting in and out of an 'aggressive' cycle; it gives the pwned villages around me a chance to recharge before the next wave. When I hit around 12 Phalanxes and half dozen Swordsmen, I rocked my production back around to fields and buildings. Realistically, my army probably won't get much bigger for a while... my intention is to cocoon for a bit until I can simply reach out and stamp "MINE, HOMF's" on everything in my vicinity. :p

Elliedoll . . . until I can simply reach out and stamp "MINE, HOMF's" on everything in my vicinity. :p This is quite fun to do. There are four towns within my "sphere of influence" that I don't mess with, either because I said I wouldn't, or it proved more trouble than it was worth (defending heros are bad new to assaults without heros). Aside from that, anything in a five-square radius of me is my plaything. I'll post an update on status later this eve, I think.

Something to keep in mind...
Flour mills increase wheat production by 5% per level, with a maximum of 25% (five levels). At level 1, it has a maint cost of 3.
Once all your wheat fields are at level 5, it becomes a viable build option. At the moment I've got 1@6 and 5@5, with a total production of 269 wheat per hour before costs. 5% of that is 13.45 ... figure 13... less the 3/hr maint cost... so at this point it'd immediately start pumping out another 10 wheat an hour. For comparison's sake, the level 4 -> level 5 wheat upgrade gives you 11/hour.
It doesn't seem like much, but because it's a percentage boost it would automatically kick for any future wheat upgrades.

It's building currently, and next I'll be getting a hero's mansion. Things like that are utter gold, to any game like this. Percentage increase is always unbelievably important, and it only pays off more and more as everything goes up around it. ....I have in excess of 30 soldiers, now. I need to expand my sphere of influence, because although I control everything around me quite decisively, I am running them pretty hard, and I'm going to need new playthings soon, something that I will be able to get a real haul from. Sure, it's nice to pull in around 1500 in accumulated supplies every time, but that only work when they HAVE that much. ....three cheers for teutons? twisted Edit: For the record, I don't attack members of an alliance. I'm political! xd

Keep your focus on your resources for the moment, probably. You'll need an Embassy at level 1, which has a Main Building level 1 prerequisite, before you can be pulled into the Alliance. MOST players won't mess with alliance'd folks (some are just that way), so you probably want to have that before noobprotect runs out. Welcome to the game. smile

Moving a bit to the upper right corner, there are some more well established cities. It feels like a good location, at least. whee
