Stryphe, standing there loosely and as if he were starting a conversation, not a fight, wonder why the paladin felt he had to act so condescendingly towards a man who looked like he'd just as sooner buy you a drink than bring a halberd down into your skull. Stryphe was in no battle stance- he was hardly centered.
"It's easy to look nice, smug and bored when I'm just standing here," He sneered, his words quiet and filled with venom, "are you trying to show off? It makes me wonder if you've actually done battle- or have the holy words of encouragement and misplaced faith of your peers and puppetmaster not been knocked out of your head by reality yet?"
He pulled a cigarette from his jacket pocket, looking at it as he popped it into his mouth and continued, cocking an eyebrow at the paladin, "Or are you truely so stoic and quick that you knew you'd be able to stop my attack had I not stopped it for you? Because I don't approve of anyone who calls themself a protector, be it a protector of 'The Light', or whatever it is you're obsessed with, who is so quick to underestimate a potential threat- or do battle with a little girl, for that matter."

The Chauffeur was impressed with the level of damage done to the lobby, thanking any higher power that was listening that he had not grown up a financial man. "The Damage and Needs Assessor" just didn't have the same ring to it.
Charles let go of his client when Sey had healed him. Now he was just standing back and enjoying the show that was ensuing, listening to both conversations- one of business, one of machismo. He really wished he had a drink in his hand.
"Business?" he said to Sey. "It wouldn't happen to pertain to the visit your temple got today from that 'friendly' cultic religion, would it?"

Stryphe "It's easy to look nice, smug and bored when I'm just standing here," He sneered, his words quiet and filled with venom, "are you trying to show off? It makes me wonder if you've actually done battle- or have the holy words of encouragement and misplaced faith of your peers and puppetmaster not been knocked out of your head by reality yet?" "You dare to sully Falis' name infront of a Paladin and a White Mage?" Cail said, feeling anger flame within him. However, he tried, and succeeded, in staying perfectly calm - however his eyes darkened as they stared at Stryphe. Stryphe "He pulled a cigarette from his jacket pocket, looking at it as he popped it into his mouth and continued, cocking an eyebrow at the paladin, "Or are you truely so stoic and quick that you knew you'd be able to stop my attack had I not stopped it for you? Because I don't approve of anyone who calls themself a protector, be it a protector of 'The Light', or whatever it is you're obsessed with, who is so quick to underestimate a potential threat- or do battle with a little girl, for that matter." "I didn't have to move, whether you followed through with your attack or not." Cail stated, stoic as ever. "Sey's barrier is still cast around me. Demonic attack or not, it'd buy me enough time for to react. And you, Sir, do sully Lady Sey's honor. Little girl you say? A slander towards my charge is a personal affront to me. I give you our humble appologies for not taking our quarrel elsewhere, and we take full responsibility in paying for damages; however, do not interfere in our personal affairs." Amazing. Cail was practicing the temperence his name was derived from.

Degobah46 "Business?" he said to Sey. "It wouldn't happen to pertain to the visit your temple got today from that 'friendly' cultic religion, would it?" "Yes and no..." Sey said to Charles, giving him a small smile. "It had to do with that and so many things. As all of the cleric Elders have died, the Temple's livelihood and protection are now upon my shoulders. As such... Some changes need to be made, inorder to better protect the clerics and peaceful occupants of the Temple." At Stryphe's words Sey bristled a bit, but she knew he was just all talk. There were so many sides of him that she didn't know who he really was... She just knew he was good. Most of the time. She looked between the two warriors of opposite ends of the spectrum - the clash of black & white so ironic in her mind. She could only hope that they didn't start another fight or something. She was a bit tired.

"Modernise the temple, eh?" Joseph was stretching his now healed arm, "And this whole time I thought there was no money in god. Interesting proposition, we'll talk."
Now that business was out of the way he had to deal with Cali. Hopefully he could mock the holy fellow into submission.
"You, armour guy." He turned to face the paladin, "I'm not an ex-armour guy of Falis like the guy with a halberd to your head... But honesty, even I can call your bluff. Or maybe you're not bluffing, maybe you're just a tactical moron."
"Look at the condition of your mage, she's tired as hell. Something that I may add, is all your fault from what I've heard. The halberd comes down on the barrier and Sey collapses of exhaustion. You may have the few seconds to get away, but you now have a disable charge to defend."
"Try a different plan?" He gave a single biting laugh.

"I'm not that tired." Sey said with a frown at Joseph. "It's one thing to not be surrounded by Falis' power and to be the only one giving it off..." Yeahhhh.
"Can we just please stop arguing? Please...?" She said meekly, looking at all 3 men.

Charles rolled his eyes at the grown men. "Gentlemen, gentlemen," he said, stepping forwards and moving Stryphe's halberd aside, thus putting himself inbetween the former Falacian and the New Guy, "let's cast aside the machismo for a few moments, shall we? The testosterone is starting to choke me here.
"I got some drinks, both alcoholic and non," he said, giving a nod to Sey, assuming she was a lightweight, "in my penthouse upstairs. Whaddya say we move this delightful conversation to a comfier place than a torn-to-s**t lobby?"

Cail, being as temperate as he could, stared plainly into the Eye's of Mr. Brown. Mockery of his charge is one thing, however mockery of himself would not be tolerated.
"Yes Sey is tired, and yes you can think your calling a bluff, but don't you think for one moment that I am truly bluffing. Sey's Barrier will hold long enough. And she is tired because she came here to see you, our conflict merely made her more dreary."
Once Cail had turned his head forward again, he did not move his eyes away from Stryphe, call it fear, or cautiousness.
"Now I give you my apologies, you will get no more."
"I do apologize Lady Sey, however I will not have Falis' name mocked," he directed at Sey, but did not move his eyes or his head. "Furthure more, it is time lady Sey and I returned to the Temple. I am sure Merielle is looking to hear from us."

The door to the lobby opened.
And, silent as ever, in stepped Allen. He'd been expecting someplace big, which the building was. Someplace expensive, which showed. he had ot, however, been expecting the lobby to be trashed. Or for Sey, Charles, and Stryphe to be standing around in the middle of it.
Al, of course, just sighed. "Great. I find more destruction, and again Sey and Stryphe are at the center of it. You'd think the two of you would learn to stay out of trouble."
Then he shifted his head to the side slightly, giving the two a questioning look. "...then again, what are the two of you doing here? I'd thought both of you would still be recovering from that Broken City fiasco."

"Young punks with their hair, and their skateboards, and their loud music..." DeSaul muttered, walking through the doorway, which the aforementioned young punk, didn't even bother to hold open for the elderly man.
He hobbled with a cane in his left hand, the cane decorated with an outstretched hand on the top. He wore simple, grey robes, that look as through he has walked millions of miles within. A simple cloth belt sinched it up at his waist, from which a few small pouches hung by strings. These pouches smelled of everything from rose petals, to sulfur.
He was hunched forward, his head covered in long, grey hairs and a receeding hairline, and his face wrinkled by the ravages of time. He had a scowl on his face, as he hobbled around the young punk Allen, and stopped, looking at his fellow CEO, and the small execution that was about to occur.
"Young punks... no respect for themselves, or for others..." he muttered, shaking his head and tisking to himself.
Seemed like the knight, from the look of him, was about to get smote. Big time. Oh well. He never really liked those types. Their brains rattled around their helms too much.
He looked over towards Allen, clearing his throat loudly.
"Reminds me of the time I helped defend the Crystal of Darkness in Ranton... The evil king of demons had been ravaging the land for a century, and people were getting pretty desperate. He was lookin' for the Crystals, the only weapon that could harm him..."

Cail Dorian "I do apologize Lady Sey, however I will not have Falis' name mocked," he directed at Sey, but did not move his eyes or his head. "Furthure more, it is time lady Sey and I returned to the Temple. I am sure Merielle is looking to hear from us." "Cail I still have to speak with Joseph." She said, laying her hand on the Paladin's shoulder. "Please. Can we just talk business?" Sey said, smiling pleasantly at Charles & Joseph. "I'd love to have a drink with you - though water is fine for me thank you."

"Honestly." Joseph started out like he was agreeing with Sey, "You're in my place of business, making a mess and putting me behind schedule."
Joseph was standing relatively unguarded since Cali's eyes were still on Stryphe. He was still in a fairly non combative stance, where his now healed arms were crossed at his stomach. He was used to this stance, allowed him easy access to his guns, hidden pockets and didn't make him look too much like a ween.
"I mean, look at this. You're preventing us from doing business with three potential clients here. Seyumi here of course, who I needed to talk to anyway." He gave a little head motion towards the entrance, "And those two over there."
"Allen," He addressed the normally silent man in an attempt to appeal to his patience, "You'd think they'd learn by now, wouldn't you? But no, trouble around these two all the time."
"And Mr. Desaul." The appearance was a dead give-away, "I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. But you've probably seen situations much more intense than this, so I'm positive you're not panicked."
Now to deal with armour face. It was getting obvious that asking politely was something that paladins had a hard time understanding. He was going to have to provoke the idiot into doing something stupid before he provoked Stryphe. He would have time to react, so would Charlie, Stryphe and maybe even Allen. Then he could call the HEAVY unit in and escort the paladin out.
"I honestly would like you to get, that way I can do some business. But hey, I know how it is, you don't give a s**t about my business. Hell, I know how you feel, I don't give a ******** about your God. I've disturbed, what, three services at the temple this year?" He inched his concealed hand closer to his gun, "What I don't get is why you think Seyumi coming here would make her tired? If she's so deadset on seeing me she probably wouldn't be tired until after our meeting."
Yes, Joseph Brown could be a pig when he needed to.

DeSaul stopped, just up to the point in they story where the Paladin's friend and adopted brother came in, under the control of the demon, ready to kill the Paladin, just because he could.
He looked up at Joseph, clearing his throat and hrm hrming to himself as he resettled his body to watch the other CEO handling his little situation.
"Young punks..." he muttered, watching the stand off, "always with their little ego measuring contests..." he shook his head, and his cane rose, pointing at Allen's chin, stopping six inches short.
"You look young enough. Course with all those humanoid immortals these days and the like, you can't be sure anymore. You could be 20, or 2,000... But I'm guessing closer to 20. So you're a youngun. What's with the little c**k measuring match here?"

It was strange. Without Sey doing anyting a bobble of light flew in from the outside of the building.
Clearly that light spirit was summoned by someone else.

Joseph Brown It was strange. Without Sey doing anyting a bobble of light flew in from the outside of the building. Cail slowly turned his focus to joeseph really not caring about his words up to that point. directing his thoughts to Sey, "Miss Seyumi, I do believe that is our cue to leave. Merrielle will be wanting to talk with us, and I would hate to keep her waiting. I am sure business can be talked another time." Cail glared at Joseph as if shooting daggers into his eyes. He had to be temperate, it was in his oath and his name! He was coming awfully close to taking up arms against these to men however. "Continue your business, we will go in peace. It is regretable you do not embrace Falis, his name however should not be disgraced. Again I apologize for the damages, that is all you will get from me. Cail would not let this man get the best of him.
