I do not know where they go, but I must assume it is somewhere much, much further to the south." While what Rina said seemed almost insulting in how contradictory it was, that was not her intent. She merely wished to clarify what she was unsure on. Perhaps she was misunderstanding Rae. If so, she could not be corrected unless she voiced the impressions Rae was giving her, so that she could be corrected if those impressions were not correct.

"I suppose so, if it is too rough for even the caribou, who were made to live in the cold." Now Rina could understand even less why anyone would feel a desire to live in such a harsh land as that. But then, she was not a member of the Kousetsu Tribe. She had not felt the call that they had. Perhaps it was that reason why she could not comprehend why anyone would want to make life so very terribly difficult for themselves.
