A quick Fire Blast from Gin'iro had the Steelix fainting in no time. Brayden smiled. They were slowly getting stronger.
"Alright, now we need to catch the boat back to Canalave," he nodded, as he recalled Gin'iro and Sutekh, opting to travel alone as he ran up the remainder of the floors to the surface.
Blinking as he stepped back out into the sun, Brayden headed back towards the docks, hopping on the ship as the sailor took off, headed back to Canalave.

Chloe hopped off of the gangplank, thankfully keeping her footing on the old dock that lay on the shore of the beach on Iron Island. It seemed things were in a bit of disrepair on the place. Although the dock at least looked like it would hold its weight underfoot, which was a reassuring find after a few test steps. Smiling faintly, reassured, Chloe made her way onto the dock fully, as she waited for the others to leave the ship as well.
Chloe took a glance around. Nothing really seemed unusual about the island. There was a small shack, although it seemed to be in ill-repair and deserted. Other than that, there were no other structures on the island. Chloe had to admit, it was an interesting place. Abandoned mining equipment lay rusting, most of which was now covered in vines as nature slowly claimed the territory again.
However, Chloe couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She looked around, but couldn't see anything unusual, other than a thin wisp of smoke that was rising from the other side of the island. But it was dying out, dispersed by the sea breeze before vanishing. Shaking her head slightly, she turned back to the ship, still unable to shake the feeling.
Even with her paranoia acting up, she still nearly jumped from her skin as a crashing boom came from the mountain.
"Geez," Chloe muttered, unsuccessfully trying to calm her heartrate a bit as she turned to look towards the entrance to the caves that ran under Iron Mountain.

Brayden hopped onto the dock a short bit later, still frowning slightly. He looked to Kaya curiously, watching the prince for a moment, before turning his attention to the island itself for a moment.
The old shack was still there, he mused, before turning to the caves, where the blast had sounded from. However, as much as he tried, his gaze kept falling back on Kaya.
Brayden sighed, turning to Chloe apologetically, "Uh... we'll be right back," he offered, before scooping up Kaya's hand and marching off towards the shack. He only made it a few paces before he stopped, turning, as he tossed Chloe Ariadne's Pokeball from his belt.
"Mind watching her for a bit? I don't really need her voice at the moment," he muttered, instantly hearing mental objection from Aria.
'I'll be right back, I just don't want you involved in this. I want to learn what's wrong on our own terms, not because you've been listening in on stray thoughts.'
'Feh, whatever...' came the grumpy response. He was sure to hear a mouthful, or mind-full if you look at it that way, once he was back within range of his Psychic type. But at the moment, all he really cared about was getting to the bottom of whatever it was Kaya was worried about. The fair way, of course. Ari's nosy nature when it came to thoughts and feelings was not needed here.
Resuming his stride towards the shack, Kaya in tow, he almost missed Cali, who had been out of her Pokeball the entire voyage. However, the Umbreon sensed that she shouldn't interfere, so she stopped at the door of the shack, keeping quiet vigil, when Brayden went around, before taking a tentative seat on a trash can rusted by the salt air. He looked up to Kaya, not really knowing what to say.
"I-Uh... for starters, I'm really sorry for dragging you off like that," he apologized, flushing faintly, "I'm just not sure what to do." It was his own innate habit that had caused that, he supposed. Whenever he was having problems, he tended to flee to give himself time to work out whatever it was that was worrying or bothering him. Even when injured, Brayden's first reaction was to try to run. It was just this time, Kaya was the one with worries. So he had come along for the ride.
Brayden brought his gaze back to Kaya, from where he had been staring at his hands nervously, "But I can honestly tell something's wrong," he admitted. Although he certainly wasn't a psychic, and wouldn't allow Aria's "help" on this matter, he could definitely tell something was eating away at Kaya. He just didn't know what it was. That only left him to guess, and his first conjecture was to consider that it was his own fault. And that, in turn, was starting to eat at him.
"I can't help but wonder if it was something I did..." he murmured, somehow managing keeping eye contact, "And if it was," he added hurriedly, "just tell me, and I'll do whatever I can to fix it," he finished nervously.
Must keep eye contact...
"Mmm... I... I know you saw this," he emphasized, tugging his glove a bit off, revealing the Aqua insignia on his hand, "while we were.... uh... last night," he flushed crimson as he replaced the glove, glad for the slight distraction.
"I know how much you hate Aqua. After all, they invaded your lands and captured the Kyogre your people were protecting, and they've caused nothing but trouble whenever we've run into them," he murmured.
"I'm not sure if I was a member, I honestly can't remember much from before I was ten years old. But I know what this mark means, and what it could have meant for my past," he continued.
"I-if you wish it," Brayden's throat tightened as he struggled once more to keep his gaze steady, "I'll leave. I know enough to realize that I cause trouble. I'm not too quick, and I certainly can be clumsy sometimes. Add that to the fact that trouble seems to follow me wherever I go, and I tend to drag others into it. It may or not be because of this mark on my hand, but the fact remains that I'm honestly unworthy."
"I don't deserve to be partnered with a prince, let alone one as amazing as you," he smiled sadly.
"But I do know that I've come to care for you deeply. I'm still fairly new to this, but know that I'd offer you the world... if I could afford it," he managed a tiny smile.
"But if I'm the one that's causing worry and problems for you, I don't think I could stand that," he admitted, "If you think I should back off, just say the word. I think I can catch the cargo ship before it left."
"I don't want to see you hurt," he admitted, "By anything. Most of all because of me," he frowned, standing (which was probably a really good thing, considering a hefty chunk crumbled away to dust as he did so), as he took Kaya's hand.
"If its something I did to cause you to frown so, just tell me," he whispered, almost pleadingly, as he ran a light touch along Kaya's cheek.

Chloe managed to catch Ariadne's Pokeball as Brayden took off with Kaya. She smiled, "Sure," with a nod, as she watched the lovers leave. She then turned her attention to the Pokeball in her hands, which seemed just like any other. However, she could have sworn she felt a seething from the device. Shaking her head slightly, she turned her attention back to the ship. Seemed they were preparing to leave again once they were ready.
Chloe opted to explore the beaches for a bit while she waited for the Felix and Vhan. Once she made it off the rickety dock, she released her party for a bit of fresh air. It had been quite a while since she had been able to give them a break. And only Entreri and Saku were small enough to be let roam free, so that left the rest of her party usually stuck in their Pokeballs unless there was a battle.
Cáel was the first, and she grinned, offering the Dragonite a pat before making her request.
"You think you could make a quick sweep of the island? Just in case?" she smiled. Cáel nodded, before taking off. He hovered overhead for a few minutes, enjoying the fresh air, before making a sweeping loop over the island.
The rest of her party followed out onto the beach, Mikami almost immediately zipping over to attempt to tackle Felix with a kamikaze cry of, "Flaaaaaaiiii!."

Vhan opted to stay on the dock with Chloe and Felix, getting the feeling that he should stay out of whatever this was. It looks like a falling out was about to happen and he was honestly worried for the couple. Hi gaze, which had fallen to the spot where the explosion from earlier had come from, was quickly dragged to the kamikaze Flying trying to tackle Felix. He maximized his hammer and swung it once, attempting to slam the dragon into the ground and stop it in it's tracks, but not knowing thatFlygon were ground types meant he'd be making it easier for Mikami.

Kaya let Brayden lead him toward the old shack, smiling inwardly that he was at least taking them away from their friends before he said anything. He didn't know why, but Tsuki and Tolkis seemed to understand as well, and they stayed behind with the others for now.
The princeling pondered for a brief moment if he should tell Brayden what was eating at him, but the look on his lover's face told him it was time to explain and lot this fester any longer. It was hurting the one who held his heart and it literally felt like someone was stabbing him when he saw how badly it did. When they reached the shack, he spoke for the first time since leaving the dock.
"I don't mind you dragging me away from the others. It actually makes me feel less like they're trying to hear us this way." he said softly, offering a small, but slightly paranoid looking smile. "Bray, love, please don't think it's you or anything you've done." he said slowly. "You have never done anything but make me happy." he told the younger male.
"I don't care that if you were a member of Aqua, now or ever. That's in the past now and the past doesn't matter. It's the here and now that's important." he said as he placed his hand on Brayden's shoulder and squeezed lightly. "There is no one in this world I would rather have than you." he said softly as he leaned into his lover."
Hearing his partner say that he'd leave, and that he didn't deserve to be partnered with him, his small smile widened. "Don't you ever say you'll leave, for any reason. I don't care if I get angry and tell you to or not. Don't you ever leave me. And telling me you feel like you don't deserve me just makes me crazier about you. Being so modest is part of why I fell for you." he said seriously, his voice holding a tone of finality during the first part.
"Brayden, I love you with all my heart and soul, nothing will ever change that." he started again. "You could never do anything to upset me, I promise." he added carefully. "And Because of how much I love you, I worry about us...and our future." he admitted.
"What's caused me to frown is worrying about what the future holds for us." he finally admitted, looking sheepishly to the ground as he did. "I know it's crazy but, I was worrying that...maybe you wouldn't love me anymore if...something ever happened that made it so...so I couldn't care for myself anymore." he explained slowly, afraid that Brayden might actually smack him upside the head for worrying about something like that.
"But please, don't ever think it's your fault. I'm just worrying about things that aren't going to happen any time soon, if ever." he added quietly. He prayed that Brayden believed him, considering that was the truth, and only hoped that he would understand why he was so worried.

Brayden listened to Kaya, nodding faintly at parts, as he covered the prince's hand on his shoulder with his own, offering it a reassuring squeeze, pleased at the comforting warmth it offered.
Brayden sighed, unable to help the lopsided smile that emerged, "You should probably know by now that you shouldn't worry about that," he somehow managed, although the feeling of at least that weight being lifted was enough to make him a bit unsteady. He was beyond glad that Kaya honestly didn't seem to care about his assumed ties with Aqua. It had been one of his fears since the beginning of his journey, keeping his gloves on save for when he was confident that he was truly alone, ever since he first started from Fuchsia.
He lifted Kaya's gaze back from the ground gently, before drawing closer for a loving kiss. He was quickly becoming addicted to this, not that he minded one bit. He nuzzled Kaya's neck gently with a smile before managing to draw back.
"I'm sure your kingdom has similar promises but this," he held up his hand, which held the ring Kaya had given him, "means forever," he whispered, still smiling warmly.
"There's honestly nothing save death itself that could keep me from caring for you and staying by your side," he admitted, "And even then, don't think I'd put it past me to come back and haunt you," he chuckled, brushing his free hand through Kaya's hair.
"Before, even when we were just friends, I had a hard time staying away from you," he admitted with a smile, "Being together with you has only strengthened that. There's nothing that you could do or say that could drive this feeling away. I know that whatever our future may hold, I'm content in knowing that we'll be together."
"Even if something happened to you, like you said, rest assured that I'd still be there," he murmured, "It'd take a whole lot more than that to drive me away," he smiled.
"Call me a possessive guy, but you're mine, and I'm yours. I honestly there'd be anything strong enough in this realm that could break that," he murmured.
"If you're able to put up with me, I honestly don't see any reason why you think I'd leave you for any selfish reason. You've got me pretty bad," he chuckled, "If it made you feel the slightest bit better, I was ready to pack up and leave, although it definitely would have hurt me. If all I have to do to ensure your smile is stay by your side, then rest assured, I'll be here..."

Kaya felt Brayden's hand on his own and his heart lifted as he savored the touch. "I know that. I always have." he replied calmly, his smile slowly returning. "But worry can make people forget the most obvious things." he added with a small laugh. He never thought he'd find something this amazing when he left the the Island. He thought he'd be alone as an outsider, but Chloe and, especially, Brayden had taken him into their lives like no one else had before them. Even then he never expected more than their friendship.
He looked back up at Brayden's touch and returned his kiss wholeheartedly. When it ended, he wished it hadn't. That intimate touch with his lover was intoxicating. But he wrapped his arms around the younger as he nuzzled into him, returning the affection in kind.
"We do have a similar promise, but I wanted to use yours for this. I want us to be connected forever...and this ring and the promise that goes with it, ensures that." he replied with his his own warm smile.
"I pray to the gods that nothing ever separates us." he whispered softly as he lifted Brayden from the ground and held him in his arms. "Because I would travel to the edge of oblivion and beyond to find you again." he added in the same soft whisper, his voice filled with love and contentment.
"I'm glad to hear that Bray, because as long as we're together, I promise I'll keep smiling for you. From now on, nothing can take my smile away and It will always be yours." he told his partner after hearing what he'd said about before, his worries and how they belonged to one another.
"And it makes me feel horrible that I almost drove you away because of my mood...but as long as you're still here, it doesn't matter anymore." he said softy, kissing his fiance passionately. When he drew away, he offered him a loving smile.
"Do you feel better now?" he asked quietly as he lifted the younger male higher into the air, so that they were eye to eye.

Chloe winced, calling out for Mikami, who thoroughly ignored her call to watch out. There was a new person to greet after all! Even though this greeting would most likely mean a tackle. Mika dived, spiraling downwards. The action was rewarded by a mallet to the head.
"Frrraiiiiinom!" came his response as he chomped down on the mallet's handle, catching the hammer on its backswing, and using its momentum to get him back up in the air. His teeth didn't do any damage to the hammer, but it may have a few gnaw marks on it by the time he was done, flitting back up into the air. He searched for the source of the blow, as his gaze settled on Vhan.
Ooooo, a challenge! The easily amused (and sadly, easily distracted) Flygon instantly turned his attention from Felix and onto Vhan. He landed, crouching, tail waving behind him, much like an oversized puppy as he mock-pounced, before backing off. He made another half-jump, before looking to Vhan, waiting.

Felix had been surprised enough by the sudden appearance of both the flygon, and Vhan's hammer that he had let out a loud hiss and jumped backwards. Luckily for him, he hadn't jumped far enough to fall in the water, but he had come close. Felix's ears were completely flattened against his head, and his tail had fluffed up to three times it's normal size. He watched Mikami with narrowed eyes. He could tell now that the dragon type wanted to play, but that didn't make him any less angry.

Brayden smiled, meeting Kaya's gaze much easier this time around, "Perfect," he nodded, "I know I'm feeling much better now that your fears are suppressed," he smiled genuinely.
Brayden held onto Kaya as he was lifted upwards. He wasn't as timid about the prospect this time around, which gave him time to enjoy the sensation, as well as the kiss. Both he enjoyed, although he had to admit, with an inward smile to join the outward one, the kiss was just a bit more enthralling.
"You have nothing to fear, you're stuck with me for a long while," he chuckled, before pulling back slightly.
"Think we should head back before the others think I ate you?" he joked with a laugh, "I have to admit, I wasn't in the greatest of moods when I dragged you back here."

Seeing his hammer used as a chew toy, Vhan seemed to lose it. "Do you have any idea where this came from?!" he yelled at the Flygon. "Star Shaper is not a chew toy!" he cried as he thrust his hands forward and blue, generic diamond shaped gem appeared before him, glowing faintly. "Aqua Surge!" he cried as the Aqualithe poured out a surging torrent of crystal clear waterat the dragon Pokemon.

Kaya grinned at his lover for a long moment before he lowered him back to the ground again. "That's good, because I don't plan on letting you go either." he said softly, smiling at last.
"I think we should, I'm afraid they'll get into trouble without at least one of us to help CHloe with Mikami." he said as he looked back towards to dock in time to see Vhan trying to Repel Mika with some form of spray.
"Besides, there's always time for you to eat me later..." he said with a devious grin and a heartfelt laugh before he started back down the stairs to the dock. He made sure he was going slow enough for Brayden to catch him without any trouble when he started down behind him.
~I'm glad you worry about me so much, Bray. I wouldn't have it any other way.~ he thought to his lover as he went, unaware of his stray thoughts again, hopefully he was out of Aria's range this time though.

Chloe finally caught up back down the dock, Saku waddling slowly behind her, as she made her way to the end, where the ship was just starting to set sail. Dai followed using a water route, floating alongside the dock for the time being. Entreri opted to stay at the other end of the dock. No use wasting all that energy going down to where the others were if they were just going to walk right back again. He simply yawned, leaning against one of the posts that held the dock up, waiting patiently, if still a bit grumpy.
"Mika, what on earth are you doing?" she muttered, causing the sputtering, soggy Flygon to look up from where he had been about to pounce on Vhan. He didn't look the least bit contrite, however, simply offered a grin, before continuing to ask Vhan to play.
At least he wasn't using his flames.
Nope, wait, scratch that. Mika, apparently thoroughly amused by the water attack from Vhan, gave a wide grin, before inhaling.
"DAI!!!!" Chloe screeched, not a moment too soon, as the Kingdra released a jet of water, effectively dousing the flames before they left a few feet from the dragon's mouth.
"Geez," Chloe sighed, looking to Mikami. She pointed to the dock.
"Fire plus wood equals bad when you're standing on it," she griped. Mikami looked to Chloe, looked to the dock, then back to Chloe before nodding.
"Flaaai."
"Got it?"
"Gon!" Mikami saluted, offering another toothy grin, indicating that he'd not try that again.
And proceeded to tackle Vhan off the dock and into the water with another cry of, "Flaaaaaai!"
Chloe winced, hearing the splash.
"Uh, I'm sorry about that!" Chloe apologized to the obviously miffed Felix with a sheepish look to the feline boy.
"That's Mikami. I honestly don't know if he doesn't know any better, or if he does it on purpose," she referred to the Flygon, "That's Saku, Daimon, Enteri's waaaay back over there, probably pouting or brooding, its all the same to him, and Cáel's up there.... No... wait... that's a Wingull," she corrected, taking a closer look to the spot in the sky she had pointed to. Cáel was hovering elsewhere over the island at the moment.
"And that's Lantis, he's still kinda new," she pointed to the shore, where the Latios was hovering, simply watching what was going on quietly.
