And as for the above comments about Erik being a kid, I agree as well. But just because Raoul is handsome doesn't mean that I'd pick him, personally. When I was 13 and first read the book, Raoul annoyed the living crap out of me. (Example: "I am jealous! I am jealous! I am jealous!") And he still does. I related to Erik and that's why I am more in favor of him, fad or not. I could say the same thing about Christine, for she annoyed me too. Erik and Daroga were the only characters I liked.
