he sighed, ...they think they've got problems...living with abuse is bad, i admit...but not being able to pass on after death...it is far worse... his face was blank as he was lost in thought, ...Purgatory?...this is nothing more than hell with no fire...if they had to live with-- he stopped his thought as a new one crossed his mind, ...do i really want to put them through that?...yes, yes i do...
when Kane looked in the mirror, he felt a new life flow through him, it felt good, "Marvelous mirrors, are they not? each one belonged to a member of my family...they all hold very fond memories and stories..." he turned his back to them, "if you will excuse me for a moment, i have forgotten something upstairs...my offer of tea and cakes still stands, you may make the tea yourselves in my absense and the cakes should be in the upper left cabinets." with a smile and a wave, he began to walk upstairs, "save a cup for me, please, i shall be right back."

up the stairs and down the hallway, he passed by a window and stopped to look out. The view was beautiful; the sun was shining in a clear blue sky over the nearby city...this beauty was an illusion. He breathed heavily on the glass and wiped away the fog. In one small swipe of his hand the fog, and the illusion, were gone. A more twisted version of the world had replaced the beautiful scenery. It was almost as if he was looking at a negative of a photograph. This was his world.
He sighed, ...they’ve been here nearly three days...I think it’s time they were shown what they’ve really gotten themselves into... with a wave of his hand, a small click could be heard as all of the windows and doors unlocked. Normally, he would never do this sort of thing. He never revealed himself to guests (intruders), he just trapped them and slowly let them die off...these new people have changed his methods somehow...he didn’t know quite how, but they did. By unlocking the exits, he had merged the house with his world, allowing those inside out...and anything outside in.

he walked to the kitchen and heard the click he looked to the windows and looked out"What?!?!?"he said suprised

((what malkior just did disspelled the barrier that kept his house in the real world. his house is now completely in purgatory. the people are free to leave, but the world is different now.
there are 'spirits' of people who have previously died in Malkiors house walking around. but they are only remnants of images held by the mirrors and can only speak in small, fragmented sentences. meaning the guests won't be getting much information out of them at all...just figured i'd explain that...there are more things, but i don't know if i'll bring that in just yet...))

Malkior shoved his hands in his pockets and walked to the closet dorr on the way down the hall, ...can't come back down there empty handed...they may suspect something.. he opened the closet door and pulled out a beautiful faux fur coat, ...what i just did probably made miss riley very cold...i'm sure she'll appreciate this...
he shut the door and made his way down stairs. the house was so cold, he could see his breath, but with the new energy within him, he felt very warm. his feet fell silently as he reached the end of the steps and he silently slipped the coat over Rile's shoulders.
he stood beside her and smiled, "forgive me for the house's sudden change in temperature...it is something i'm not quite sure how to fix..." he laughed a bit and linked his arm with hers, "i suppose that tea would feel pretty good right now, wouldn't it? care to accompany me, Miss Riley?"

Riley jumped, not expecting him. But she smiled and snuggled into his gift.
" Oh thank you! How did you know I was so cold? And yes...The tea sound wonderful right now..." She said softly. Her amber/brown eyes twinkled up at him. Riley allowed herself to be led into the kitchen.

"Thats what i want to know"he said being more poliete about it

Riley stopped in her tracks.
" You lied to us?" She asked. Her eyes filled with sorrow and hurt. " Why? How could you? And I..." Riley trailed off. Her heart pounded...He lied to to her...And she was falling hopelessly for him.
