He finally broke his concentration, getting his eyes back to normal. And damn did they hurt...

He nodded slowly. He had been touching the map after all...

He shook his head. This was a strange land. He had been thinking in strange terms. It had to be something else... maybe something more, simple...

He kneeled down again, looking at it. Again his eyes weren't really focused, but rather looking for broad patterns. Maybe words or symbols that were hidden in the map's images.

Alas, he would have to read between the lines in a different sense, but when he did, the answer would pop out at him as though it had been there the entire time.

((Not unless you feel like dropping a hint, because the map was so vaguely described as Gaia that I can't make heads or tails of this puzzle right now... sweatdrop ))

((Let me pose you a question: If you go into a restaurant thread and ask to see the menu, do they repost the menu or do they give you a menu ICly and you look at the menu in the first post?

Well, they repost the menu if they suck, but assuming they don't suck.))

Eileen peered at her jPhone some more...then she walked back to the real map, and placed two fingers around where Durem would be, then spread them outwards. The same method for zooming in and out that the jPhone used for picture manipulation. She also tried double clicking.

Ting. Samurai for the win. His eyes suddenly got big as he seemed to read the hidden lettering on the map.

"Treasures," he said, wondering truly if there was some treasure there. This world had a way of making boyish things seem real. Like monsters and magic, after all.

He jabbed towards a location north by northeast on his map.

"I see it... should we go?"

Eileen blinked. "Ano....see what...?" She shook her head in disbelief. But if he'd figured it out... "...demo if you found something, we should investigate~."

"This way," he said. Sure, he was weak. He was tired. His eyes hurt. And he was pretty god damned pissed at that 'guide' for not just being open and honest. Like a sneak theif...

He'd have his hands too, like he'd do to a theif, should he see him again...

So, holding back a groan of exhaustion, he started off east, out of the Gate and towards the Reclamation plant.

((To the plant, in the main forum.))

Eileen nodded, and after checking on Lyendi the two girls followed after.

The mini-van would now come rolling towards the giant gate itself, the driver glad to put the damnable city behind him.

His left hand was on the steering wheel, right hand pressed up against the gauzed over bullet wound. He was feeling a bit woozy, and didn't know how much further he could go without sleep, or food.

It'd been nearly two days now, with the third day slowly creeping up on them all.

He turned his head to the side, looking down at the birdhouse, before shaking his head and focusing again on the road.

Previously, he had felt 'trapped' within Durem, as if he wouldn't have been able to leave even if he wanted to.

But ever since today, that feeling had been gone, as if a ban had been lifted and he was free.

Free and late to the party.

Thank god for cruise control.

At this point, Vahn was just making sure the vehicle stayed on the right side of the road, even as he passed through what seemed to be a checkpoint of sorts.

Apparently Durem had been closed off for some reason or another--- but there was no sign of guards, soldiers or whatever anymore.

Vahn was kinda wishing he hadnt broken in the driver side window at this point. At the speeds he was going, the amount of wind in his face was really annoying... but the only thing keeping him awake right now as well.

The van would keep heading east.

Back the party van would come, only to come to a slow halt as it passed underneath the archway of the grand gate.

The feeling in his a** was starting to go numb again... so he simply brought the van to a halt, deciding he had enough of driving for the moment.
