Fluent English Intermediate Finnish Beginning German French
I used to speak Spanish as a little kid but I really can't remember much after moving back to the US in 2001.And, I can read and pronounce anything written in a cryllic alphabet for the most part. It really helps learning Russian songs.

I speak: Dutch (fluent) English (close to fluent)
Learning: japanese
I know words of these, but not learning: German (4 years school, i understand and can answer, but im not fluent. Though i can help someone else with learning. I still have my books) French (4 years school, i understand, but cant make my own sentences as good as i used to. Though if you need help, i can help I still have my books) Italian, because im a musician, went to italy for 5 times and my neighbours are italian. Turkish (some funny things) greece (some funny things)

I speak Spanish & English (all my life)
Fluent: BOTH
Intermediate Japanese (I've been three years studying japanese). I can understand the language, read it (quite slow crying ) and write it. However, I'm not that good speaking it.
I wanna learn german and all the languages that evolved from latin (italian, romanian, portugese and french 'cause I already speak spanish).

i can read it (slowly) and pronunciation is ok but, the grammar and politeness levels are confusing sweatdrop

The list will probably expand, but I have to work on some first. My grammar in Spanish is probably a lot less than perfect, so I'm looking for help on that.

As of August 2008: Fluent in: English Advanced: Danish, Norwegian, French Intermediate: Icelandic, Italian, Catalan, Swedish Beginner: Russian, Ukrainian, Finnish Unable to get passed "hello, how are you": Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Scots Gaelic and Irish Abandoned: Japanese, Mandarin Chinese.

Fluent: English, Cantonese (... I would like to think!) Pretty much fluent in: Cantonese Learning now: Cantonese (pretty much every day XD), Japanese, Korean and malay. Wanting to learn: Vietnamese, Mandarin && Swedish

I only know how to write Russian. I can't really pronounce anything correctly in Russian, so it's hard for me to remember vocabulary. DX

I kind of scanned through this thread and I don't think I posted last year...
I spent a good portion of 2008 making less-than-stellar progress in Irish.
I have decided to learn Esperanto in 2009 just for fun, even though I don't believe the world needs an artificial international auxiliary language. I figure it is a hobby, and when you talk to other Esperantists, you already have that one thing in common (having learned Esperanto).
I am going to try just ONE language for a change, in order to make the best use of my very limited time.

Intermediate: French
Decent, understand more than I speak: German
Elementary with magical bursts of super comprehension: Spanish (can figure out the gist of a conversation or anything written, read it, count to 12, basic sentences, insults and curse words) Swedish (can figure out the general point of something, count, read it, and make basic sentences)
Pathetically Elementary: Arabic (can read some of it, vocabulary doesn’t go past 50 words) Japanese (can count to 10, say some phrases, read some Kanji, vocabulary not past 50 words) Hungarian (able to understand what my grandmother says when she yells at me, can count to 5, say some phrases and read it)
On the shelf: Russian (I know like…6 words. I can read half of what's given to me.) Finnish (must learn!) Chinese (Eh….I know some expressions.) Norwegian (Can sort of understand using my knowledge of other Germanic languages) Hindi (must learn!) Icelandic (must learn!) Zulu (I forgot the three words I used to know. >_< It sounds so cool!) Norse (I seriously want to learn this….) Welsh (I just want to....)
