One of the adult dragons moved between Zera and the commotion, putting his tail so that the hatchling couldn't easily get around him.

"Stay back," he growled, "These are things you do not need to know of yet." And he turned to glare at the approaching human.

Zera glared at the dragon. How dare it stop her. She stubbrenly bit into his tail, and it wasn't a light bite then tried to duck under it to watch. What was wrong with her seeing a human. She knew about humans! In her little hatchling mind, the elder dragon mustent know about humans, because there was no reason to stop her from seeing this one.

The older dragon growled and lunged, catching the dragon about the middle with both of his paws and dragging it back from the human. He lashed his tail angrily.

"Stay back" he repeated, this time using both mind and voice and then muttered to himself. "This is why even Dragon-Bound shouldn't be allowed near the hatching grounds."

Syla watched as one of the elder dragons attempted to block one of the hatchlings. She hesitated, fingering her staff while pondering a way around the area. As she pondered, a chirpy yawn was heard as an emerald-green poked out from underneth her headdress.

Ayvia awoke to the sounds of growling and hissing; peeking out from her 'mothers' hood, she chirped happily at the sight of an adult dragon and a black hatchling nearby.

Zera reared back onto her hind legs and blew ice into the older dragons face. She would not be bossed around by this dragon! It was then Zera said her first real words.

"Humans are good" She managed to growl, though it came out more as Huans arrr guud, but it was close enough to empasize Zeras point.

Meanwhile, poor Asariel was completely confused. Blorting innocently, he trotted over to Zera’s side, hissing at the older dragon. Rearing back on his hind legs, he allowed his front talons to rake at the air in what he thought was a menacing manner, but was, in fact, about as frightening as a dust bunny. Actually, that’s unfair; some dust bunnies can be really scary if they’ve got dead bugs in them. Asariel just looked like he was struggling to stay balanced.

He wasn’t quite sure what was going on, but, damn it, he knew something was happening! Besides, he wanted to explore the area beyond the edges of the hatching grounds! There was… was… STUFF out there, STUFF that he wanted to see and experience!

A dainty white female hatchling watched from afar, her head delicately tipped to one side in amusement. She wasn’t amazingly interested in going beyond the edges as she was perfectly comfortable where she was, which was perched on a rock slightly above the hot springs. Nice, warm, and cozy… why go out there when things in here were perfectly fine? It must be, she decided, a male thing.

The adult dragon just shook its head to break off the ice. He seemed quite unconcerned about Zera's act of defiance.

"You speak! Pity those are your first words. Humans are not good. They can be cruel and evil creatures."

Another adult dragon saw the commotion by this point. She walked over and stared at both the hatchlings and the male.

"Oh, let them past," she said, "You're a worse influence on the hatchlings than Maderik being here with his Dragon-Bound was. There's enough of us around that one... single... lost... human isn't going to be able to do anything." And she smiled condecendingly at the male as he let go of Zera.

Syla started, taking a few steps backwards. She certainly wasn't expecting such a commotion, she had just been passing through on her way to the mountains. Just as Syla was about to find another way around the grounds when Ayvia, in her hatchling curiousity, hopped down from the healers shoulders and waddled towards Zera and a blue hatchling that was coming foreward. "Ayvia! Wait! You're going to get hurt!" Concern for her friend overrode her fears and she slid down the steep incline towards the green female.

Zera gave the male dragon one last look of defiance and rubbed up against the female dragons legs then bolted past them towards the human. Upon the humans feet were something. She sniffed them curiously, the smelled of the earth, like they had been walking in it. Of course they had been walking in it! Zera thought to herself, They're on the humans feet! She gave them one more sniff the sunk her teeth into them. It was perfectly delightfull. She found herself then chewing on these things.

Asariel gave a mighty blort and puffed out his chest as the male dragon backed down. Ha! Served the meany scaly-britches right! He and Zera would do what they wanted!!

Speaking of what they wanted… he bolted over to the human, sniffing her pants with apparent enthusiasm before gingerly tasting the fabric. Deciding he liked the taste---and the fact that it fought back when he tugged on it--- he started a game of tugawar, mostly with himself. Oh, and the woman’s pants as well. Growling playfully, he barely noticed the green female hatchling that approached.

After resting, she jumped up quickly. Only to fall forwards. 'Oops.....' Shaking Ping off of her and out of her mane, shr trotted over to where the others were. She was wary of Zera and Asariel...they didn't seem to like her much. She looked up to the older dragons, oen female. One male.
"There's much tension here,"she thought outloud, not caring on who could hear it. Her telepathy was short-ranged anyway....
She glanced over to Zera. WHom was running to something with...two legs?
"What's that?" she asked.

Syla was horrified beyond extreme; first, a black female had come up and decided that her boots were lunch and then a blue male decided to play with her deerskin leggings. Alothough she knew they were only playing, Syla could help but try and free herself; the adults could be thinking that she was a threat and might attack her.

"Away, away," one of the adults growled, sweeping his paws at the hatchlings around Syla's feet. He was larger than the other adults and glared down at the human. Other adult dragons were gathering, watching and waiting to see what would happen.

"What are you doing here?" He glanced at the green hatchling. "Where did you come from and why are you here, in our territory?"

Syla quickly scooped up her little friend and backed off a good distance from the adults. "Please lord dragon, I did not mean to disturb this place. I was mearly on my way to the mountains." She bowed, showing respect for him and the others. "If you would permit it, please allow me to pass."

Ayvia squawked in confusion as she listened to the words exchange between her 'mother' and the older dragon. Not understanding what was going on, she hissed at the one threating Syla waving her tiny paws in a swiping motion.

Zera was annoyed that once again, dragons were bossing her around. She let go of the shoe and examiened the green dragon for a moment. Zera finally realised maybe this human could get her out of the hatching grounds, wich was exactly what Zera wanted. Zera wanted to explore. She climed up the humans clothing to sit on her shoulder stubbrinly. The human wasn't leaving without her. She, being Zera, wanted to see the world.
