KRAKOOOM!And that's when the sickening crack was heard, as well the steady lurching sound that one would hear when perhaps something like a tree steadily began it's descent to the ground. The main mast had been struck with a bolt of lightning apparently, starting a spark of flames, as well as severing the mast in half, bringing sails and ropes tumbling down. With no one at the wheel, the ship began to lurch lopsided, the waves crashing it further and further. Should anyone have been staring out, past the foaming spray of seawater, they would see shadowed masses of rock, and spiking slabs of earth.... whicht he ship was headed directly for. And without further notice, the pirate vessel slammed into the Pirate's Tunnel.

"Hnnn..." Amunet groaned as she pushed herself up off the floor, splintered wood sliding off her back. "Tarik? Tarik, are you alright?"
"I'm fine... though you don't smell too good... I can smell your blood..." The cat was fine, unharmed thanks to Amunet.
Amunet was indeed bleeding from several small scratches on her hands, arms, and back. Other than that, she was in decent shape. "That thing... is it still alive... or as alive as dead things can be?"

With a violent lurch, and a heavy spray of seawater to his face, the swashbucker instinctively went to protect his hat, which was already in pretty bad shape due to the storm. And as he did so, his grip slipped and he was tossed across the deck and sent flying down the stairs, bumping his head and leaving an unconscious body to be swept around the deck like driftwood by the washing currents which ran along the deck from one side to the other.

Gah!!
::Back he fell and onto his rump at which point he began tumbling back like a barrel rolled onto its side, there was no rhyme or reason to his tumbling he just rode the topsy turvy vessel, and somehow his sword managed to slide with the ship to remain near him.
After a while his "whoooaa!"'s, and "Aaaaah!"'s, were replaced with laughter as he started to enjoy the crazy ride wherever they were going.::

Lucind Before going on board Lucind had a few words with Hul, thanking him for his guidance and also for the patience - it was easy to tell he couldn't get along with Kraun, or his aura, to be precise. "I hope we'll see us again. You're always a welcome guest at Feimurgan^^ " A bit later she watched the port growing smaller while the yacht sailed along the coast. With her nose reddened by the cool wind she stared at the mainland and absently hummend some melody. "Ah...by the way,"the woman addressed the monk who stood next to her without turning her head,"if you have any questions you can simply ask me. Can't guarantee that I'll always have an answer, but I'd do my best." She smiled and listened to the gulls' crying. Kraun Hul waved them goodbye as he stood at port, making a note to visit sometime before he turned away to enter an inn. Kraun stood there looking across the waters like a statue, with a basket of wines in hand. Dressed in the same black robes the entire time, it would have seemed out of place that he was going on a picnic dressed in such dark garb with a basket in his arms. He listened to the woman talk, offering her help, and he felt like he should have said something. "Thank you." he replied softly. Lucind She went under deck to bring the basket and her backpack into the bunk and had some of the food she'd taken with her from the monastery: smoked fish, cream cheese with herbs and bread. While eating it occured to her if Kraun wasn't hungry at all for he didn't ask for anything during her travel. Therefore she offered to share what she had. Some time later she told him she wanted to find a nice place on deck for some hours to enjoy the night on the sea. She left it up to him to accompany her or stay in the bunk. The Half-Siren took a woollen blanket from the bed and walked upstairs into the dark. Near the mast she found a low trunk in which ropes where stored and made herself comfortable on it. Kraun He did not eat anything that was offered. In fact, he pretty much never ate at all. Accompanying the woman up the deck, he stopped at the railing to look across the dark waves as she made herself comfortable. "Where are we going?" he asked quietly as he removed the mask from his face, though the hood remained. Lucind Lucind pulled her knees towards her chest and leaned back at the wall behind her. "To Latent. It's where I have my store." She added some common facts about the coastal town. "Next to Latent, behind the so called Forbidden Forrest they're rebuilding the Leviathan stadium." She found a hair band in her coat's pocket and tied her tousled strands. "Hmm, maybe we should find an alternative to your mask. At least when you're walking in the town's streets. I fear people are scared of it." Kraun "Why?" he asked. It was a rather plain mask. All black but for two horizontal slits where the eyes would be found, and in the outer corner of each, a single red tear shaped design. If anything the people would be scared of, it would be those acursed eyes of his. Lucind "People are afraid of what they can't see. And dark things. Of course, if they met your eyes they most likely would prefer the mask." She knit her brows. "I wonder why it is your eyes have this effect. - Is it differently when looking through your mask and directly into someone's face? I mean, do you feel something changing then?" Kraun "No." As far as he knew, it wasnt when he looked at people, but when people looked at him. It was a sort of primal fear that is instilled within a person when they looked into his eyes. But for him, that was different, his vision was not normal in any sense. They never focussed and looked through everything because of what he saw. From his field of vision, he saw everything. From his immediate surrounding environment to distant planes od existance, he saw it all. And as such, his eyes did not focus on one thing, there was simply too much to focus on. Even when he closed his eyes, he still saw; through his eyelids. For anyone else, just to see what he sees would simply drive them mad.

Of course, Lucind didn't know and would never guess he had this extraordinary, weird vision, still her thoughts went something along these lines for the most remarkable fact was the lack of focus his eyes showed.
"Strange thing indeed,"she murmured. "It felt similar to a forced soul dive...kinda."
"Can you 'see' or feel a person's soul? Because it seemed you weren't really looking at me, back in the wood."

"Yes." he could see them as clearly as any physical body, as it existed on a seperate plane, but still existant. In his vision, it was all mixed together from the living to spirits. Unhindered by the limitations of any form of normal vision such as light.

She worked on her lower lip with index finger and thumb, staring at the monk's back, then out into the dark where the waves roared and gurgled along the hull.
After a few minutes of silence she asked: "Who are you? ...or what?" Amazement and confusion resonated in her voice. And a touch of concern.

Tucking the mask into the long sleeves of the thick black robes, he gazed down the side of the yacht and watched the ripples of water spread away as the boat cut through the water.
"I am a servant of a god." the monk replied simplistically, "Io created me." Though his answer was relatively vague, leaving out a lot of information, it did reveal one thing; He was not 'natural'.
As he finished speaking, he turned his head slightly to the side as a single eye, hidden by the shadows cast by the hood over his head, would peer over his shoulder at Lucind.
Indeed, he was created by a higher power, made for a specific purpose. But that was another story altogether, a history long lost in the passing of time that he didnt even know of.
But that hardly even mattered, as in all essence, he was but one thing.
A monster.

"Ah..."
The blue haired woman looked at him but the darkness prevent any real eye contact. Enough questions from my side for tonight, she thought. His last information somehow matched the previous pieces of the jigsaw puzzle which built his existence and identity.
The boat's rocking slowly made her sleepy and she nuzzled deeper into the blanket. She woke with a slight start when her head rolled to one side and only then Lucind realized she'd dozed off.

The whole time that the woman dozed, he never moved from his position standing at the railing, watching her with one eye. When she awoke with a start at the rocking of the boat which caused the body to jolt around, he spoke. "You should go get some sleep."
Though he himself did not sleep, it didnt mean that he didnt know that others had a need for rest and that he also knew that was what a bed was for, seeing many enough in the monastery.
He turned to once again look into the distance as he placed the mask back onto his face. And then he fell as silent and still as a stone gargoyle which guards a castle's walls.

She rubbed her shoulder and yawned, then stood up and crumpled the blanket in her arms. "Guess you're right." She watched his dark frame in front of her and first wanted to ask if he wasn't sleepy. But by now she'd actually figured out he most likely didn't need sleep as well as food. "I see you later then."
It didn't take her long to drift back to sleep once she found her bed. And it was a gently awaking with all those typical sea-sounds outside. She couldn't tell how late it was by the dim light inside the bunk. So she just lay there until her mind worked clearly.

The cry of seagulls could be heard as the yacht pulled into the docks of latent early in the morning, having drifted there rather placidly throughout the night. And for the entire time, the monk stood in the same spot, as if he was sleeping standing up, in the same place the whole time, only that was not the case.
As they pulled into the docks, Kraun would turn away from the railing and head down below deck to tell Lucind that they have made it to port in his usual soft and quiet voice.

A crazy ride indeed, that would have brough thteir entire vessel, or what remained of it, crashing into the rocks and shorn up shore that made up the Pirate's tunnel. Wood splintered, bodies went flying, and the spray of seawater stung those it touched, as if the very waters were refusing to take them in.
The vessel would have ended up somewhere near the very "mouth" of the tunnel, nothing but darkness stretching on for miles on end. Decorating the small island that made up the tunnel, were nearly a hundred similar ships, both modern and vintage, all sharing the same fate: smashed upon the shore.
It was like a broken ship yard....and the wind that carried through was foul enough to ensure that the seagulls or any other life stayed away. Except of course, for the crows.
Dozens of black crows that circled and cawed issinsantly.
However, in their zeal to secure safety, would both stalwart adventurers even notice that their female companion was nowhere to be seen, let alone around for quite a while?
Mysterious and mysterious indeed....as should she rouse herself from a long sleep, she would feel nothing but softness and comfort all around her body, as well as a silken sheet of the most pleasurable cloth imaginable wrapping her body....

Amunet stirred as she felt herself floating up out of the darkness of sleep. Was she dead? Things seemed different than she thought they would be. She expected to find herself in great misery and pain, but as she started to regain consciousness, she found that she felt comfortable. Was that silk she felt wrapped around her body?
Slowly, her eyes fluttered open and she sat up, holding her head for a moment before looking around. She was on a bed, her clothes were gone, and she was wrapped in a silken sheet. Tarik and her things where nowhere to be seen and that's when she started to feel panic creep into her. Where was her beloved feline companion? He never left her side. "Tarik! Tarik?!?!"
