Nuba ran out ahead, and took to the left, tossing a grenade over at the two Flayed Ones ont he ground "Time to meet your maker, you ugly bastards!" He did a sideroll out of the way as a Flayed one rose up to grab him, and he fired at the beast. Being the best miner of Auctoritania had it's pluses, and he had learned to be able to dodge things a second before they occur. It had saved him many times in his life from rocks or crashes and such; now, it was the only think that allowed him to aid the Torasian fighters against the Flayed Ones
Borza chuckled, having been following behind, and smacked Jinzo on the butt "I ain't no Gorilla, hun, but if you want me to be a beast, it'll have to wait for the bedroom" He laughed boisterously as they arrived downstairs, which opened out into a nicely-sized bunker.
Volgin was at the computer, keeping watch "Borza, we've got trouble, the Mines are under attack by the Flayed Ones, we've lost contact witht he camp, and Nuba is not answering his signal!"
Borza's grin became a serious frown "Damnit! alright, then proceed with the plan anyway." He turned to the newcomers "This is why you are here. The Flayed Ones have begun to surface, and we have been mining for a long time in search of Daniele's Seal, which supposedly can be used to to aid us against them. I need you guys to head to the mines ASAP and find Nuba, he has the seal. Hallas, you know what to do if things get heated"
Hallas nodded "Alright then, let's go you guys, we should hurry, Nuba is family and I don't want anything to happen to him" She led them back to the surface quickly, and once outside she hopped into the hover cruiser and fired the engines full blast "Let's go!"

The Flayed Ones were scattered by the blast. Two were thrown closer to the squad of Marines Aside from being tossed and their flesh mats being discarded by the explosion, they seemed completely unphased by it. The ones in the back got up and continued their advance. One of the Marines drew his combat knife and ran up to on of the Flayed Ones that had been blown closer. He tried to ram the knife into it's neck. It glanced off. The Flayed One swiped it's right arm at the marine. The bladed hands easily sliced through his armor, flesh, and bone. The Flayed Ones left hand grabbed the marine by his helmet and lifted him away from his lower torso. Before the marine's belt could slide off he grasped his fragmentation grenade and pulled the pin holding it between them. As the Flayed One closed it's hand away cutting his head to pieces the grenade detonated throwing the Flayed One back and left the marine a mess behind the rest of his squad. "Don't get close to them!" Just as she said that, the Flayed One exploded as it's volatile spirit left the necroderm. "Everyone, out of the chamber!" Shlag instructed. The marines with drew from the chamber as two more Flayed Ones detonated, bringing down the ceiling of the chamber.

Shadow locked up Jinzo by the arms, preventing her from going for her hiden knife. "Calm down, we're suppose to be allies!"

Hallas cleared her throat seriously "Focus on the issues at hand, we need to be wary, the Flayed Ones are the demonic beings of legend, and if that is really what we are up against, we really don't have many options; those things are said to have power beyond any mech or ship, a single one could wipe out an entire squadron of mechs in less than a minute with ease." They came to a halt outside of the mine, and the scene immidiately showed what was going on.
Mere seconds later, the surviving members of the torasin came rushing out of the mine, and uba was right behind Shlag "About time you guys showed up, the mine collapsed, we need to get out of this area quickly..."
Before he could finish, both he and Hallas's group were surrounded by the Torasian force.

The Marines had the new comers completely surrounded. Their weapons trained on them. At this distance they couldn't miss, and not only wouldn't they, it wasn't possible. Their targeting augmentations in their eyes and arms would instantly lead the move perfectly and kill the enemy. The Space Marines were Sal Torasia's best soldiers who were bio-mechanically enhanced for performance that gave them an endge on any battlefield. Their helmets automatically adjust for night vision or thermal imaging. They were trained to ignore any and all pain, that is if the projectile could pierce their armor first. And the last training method for the Marines is an all out battle within that crop ensuring only the strongest was able to join their elite ranks while the rest perished by the hands of their brethren. No matter how good the Aucties thought they were, a normal Space Marine was far better.
Shlag stepped forward her bolter pistol raised at the highest ranking member. He chain sword revved up using her very limited psychic powers that were required to become a Space Marine. "Name yourselves or die." Her cold ruthless voice couldn't be made out through the voice maskers. She signaled to the mires behind them. They stepped forward and kicked the legs out from below them, pushing them forward, they detained them. Their hands and feet were bound behind their backs using a an extremely touch plastic twine so they couldn't do anything but kneel down.

Nuba chuckled at Hallas's indifference. He knew she was not worried, judging by the fact she was rambling on about clothing again. Suddenly he remembed what was to be donje, and he spoke up "Um, Hallas, why don't you worry about shopping later, okay? Right now, you are to be taken to the Emperor of Sal Torasia, it is your destiny to meet him, you and he are connected" He smiled to her confidently "Miss Shlag, if you would please, we should get going, we musn't keep the Emperor waiting, he is expecting you to return safely with the Seal of Daniele."

Nuba smirked "then I guess you can tell your subordinates that you have failed your mission and they can all thank you for giving them a death wish. The Emperor is waiting for me to bring him the seal, which is in my possession. So unless you want to face his wrath, you shall take us to him now. Of course, you could always kill us instead, but that would only further seal your fate, no pun intended" a loud rumbling was heard within the collapsed mine, followed by the shrieks and roars of the monsters within "This is no time for obstinance, we need to get out of ehre now!"
Hallas groaned, clutching her stomach "Can you cherries please make up your minds? I need to get to the bathroom soon, I'm having cramps and I've only got one, um you know," She dropped her voice to a whisper next to Schlag, who she knew was a woman " um, tampon"

You think our drop pods are capable of getting us back to the fleet? They're a one way ticket to the battlefield. Pin point. Call in an evac. Now. Tell them the objective has been completed and they're probably going to coming down into a hot LZ. Give me an ETA when they give it to you. Everyone take up defensive positions around the entrance to the mine. Prisoners, on your feet now. Get behind the MLHAVs. Escort team, suit up. Chimera in you MLHAV. Before we load up you have one shot to take down that mine for good." "Ma'am we have a 20 minute ETA. The evac teams are requisitioning three drop ships for this. That gives us about a two minute loading window." "Understood. 20 minutes against creatures. This will be a good day my fellow marines. We'll go back with more honor than our entire chapter! Second squad. I need to to call in a requisition for two heavy bolters and two rocket launchers. First squad. Reinforce your unit, and requisition a new plasma rifle." The squad leaders called in their requests. Within' 30 seconds a New marine had been teleported to the surface to fill in for the casualty in the mine and they had their heavy weapons. They all took up positions around the entrance to the mine. "No melee combat men. Concentrate all fire on one at a time. Except for the scout teams. Pick off as many enemies as you can."

Nuba frowned "But of course, she has most likely had no life, being trained from birth, not allowed to be anything but an empty shell that takes orders and follows commands without question or second thought. Like a doll.......like me...." He looked to the ground and sighed with those words; none of them new what he truly was. Not even Hallas remembered. It had been 19 years and seventy-two days since he had arrived in this time period with her. She had been but an infant back then, but he quickly managed to work his way into the system of Auctoritania, and Hallas was eventually adopted by Minerva and given the training of a Blood Warden. Nobody, not even Hallas, knew that she was actually the niece of the Emperor of Sal Torasia, or that Nuba himself was nothing more than a Spirit Doll, an artificial being created out of magic, with magical power and a purpose to serve. He was the Seal of Daniele. She had created him, given him life, to protect Hallas until the time was right, to see that she met with the Emperor, and to allow the Trans Gate to be used when the Daughter of Eternity arrived.
