Ehhhhh....

I'll be standing outside for *counts*... eleven hours. I would die if I wore lolita! Do you have any idea how effing cold it gets up here in February? Somtimes it gets so cold that if you're outside for ten minutes, any eposed flesh is in danger of getting frostbite.

I do not want to lose my legs to frostbite. I'm already shorter than Kyo as it is. lol

Wish me luck on not dying of hypothermea. hahaha.

I am seeing Dir En Grey on Febuary 12th...of course for all the blood and stuffles that will be spluttered out in glory--i plan on wearing white clothing.

Keep safe?

My older sisters and I are all going, but since my older sisters are visual kei--i will proably be weirded out.

THE FUNNY PART:

My friend made a hypocrite out of herself, saying i can't be lolita.

She's going to the concert in Sex Pot Revenge and H.Naoto clothing.

But i plan to be getting in line with my sisters at 10am, even if the concert is at 7pm. sweatdrop

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that asside from the whole 'non japanese people can't be lolita' nonsense, wearing lolita to a Diru concert isn't a real good idea ^^;; Not only could your nice clothes get messed up in the mosh pit *made the mistake of wearing lolita to a concert once D:*- especially if your wearing platforms!- but Dir en grey has said in an interview that they're not that fond of lolita fashion.

The British one right?

Where the chubbier...uhmmm... sweatdrop Lolita came skipping up.

Yeah that one . . . ^^;;

The concert starts at 5 here, and I think we've planned on arriving at the venue sometime around 5 in the morning. haha.

WE ARE SO HARDCORE! lol. Twelve hours in the freezing cold!

Well, keep warm, then, Blackberry. You know those camping heat things, that become warm on exposure to the air? You stick them in your pockets, or gloves, and they keep your hands warm. Also, bring a thermos of something hot, like coffee or cocoa or soup. You'll want it.

Good luck to you, too, Lacey.

I was watching Tokyo Drift with my exboyfriend and that's when I finally had a chance to show him the Lolita style.
He said it looked ridiculous and that I shouldn't dress that way because only Japanese people should dress that way.
He also hates the Japanese culture altogether.

I dont have a story or anything but i was doing some thinking and it really suck because those kind of people cant open there minds to learn about something diffrent..

I have to admit, I'm not too hot on Japan, myself, but fashion...well, if clothes are pretty, then they're pretty.

Fashion, art, and music are three things that I like from pretty much any place, even when I really dislike other things about a culture and country. And, with all the borrowing from western fashions that Lolita does, it's not nearly as exotic as some people seem to find it. I like it when cultural ideas blend.

Thats really sad!

I don't have that problem- hardly anyone where i live knows what it is anyway and i dont wear loli on a day to day basis. I dress up as loli on special occassions or when it is called for. But which ever day I still feel lolita at heart! Sometimes i make huge mistakes but i always appologise!

You are you and if your a Lolita and proud of it then thats all that matters!
Don't let someone like that get to you. They are just not worth it. Just forget about it and focus on how you are and what you do.

If this were a myspace blog, I'd give you kudos

Same here! I only get to dress up Lolita at home, when there's no school, when I go to Anime Club, or when I go to my friend, Danielle's, house. If I were to wear it to school, I'd get sent home because it's considered "Distracting", so I'm trying to save up for a cutsew shirt from BABY, a simple skirt from BABY, socks from BABY, and maybe some shoes from BABY (or I could substitute with some nice heels that match the outfit). I could try to get some other cutsew shirts from Meta, along with more simple skirts, but so I have some things to wear to school that are still Loli.

Back to the subject of this forum. Well, I felt like I could punched someone in the face when I read the first post... If i were you, I woulda threw her a good one, but you might want to keep your temper under control, considering violence isn't very Lolita. I've been known to lose my temper, but not so often. I feel I can relate to you because I've recently had two friends turn on me because I'm a Lolita, and it made them mad that I was different from them. Let's just say I told them some in-appropriate things that day... sweatdrop All I can say is that now you realize who your true friends are, and who aren't true friends whatsoever. I hope no Lolita learns the way I did, because I was embarrassed in front of my entire core(at my middle school that I went to in 8th grade, each grade level was divided into 2 different cores with your basic teachers. Each core would go to lunch seperately because the lunchroom wasn't very big.), and you shoulda seen the looks on the people at the table diagonal from us. If you want, I coudl tell the story, but it's sorta long.

The problem is that ALL Japanese demoiselles are cute and look younger, this is why Lolita fits them so well.
White girls tend to look older, and I think this is why it is somewhat... weird to see a 18 year old girl in a dolly-like dress.
This is my opinion 3nodding
I must admit... I am 18 years old and, maybe that's because of my eyes, but I look very mature and I still think I don't "look" like a Lolita... Should I change for Aristocrat? So soon? Nooooo!!!!!!
