*Her rather intense demeanor snapped when she saw the Captain momentarily sit up from the table. Her expression immediately turned to one of concern though as she heard the Captain beckon to her. Worry mixed with compassion crossed her face as she carefully walked over debris to the table where he lay. Jaden heard the doctors discussing his condition and was cautious whilest she leaned in and asked in a hushed tone*

"Is there something you ask of me, sir?"

*As the young girl came close, he bent his arm around her waist and pulled her close... too close, for her comfort at least. He snuggled into her side and let out that odd giggle.*

" Ah, how I've misse dthe touch of a woman... it's wonderful!!!"

*Words could not possibly explain the cacophany of thoughts that flooded her mind as the Captain pulled her close. A look of fear, shock and embarassment was stuck upon her face as she looked down at him, burying his head into her side and giggling like a giddy child. His comment, although in other circumstances could be considered a compliment, just caused Jaden to become rather dumbfounded and temporarily mute.

She looked up at the two Doctors discussing this man's symptoms and possible ways to cure him of his ills, with a kind of confused stare and her head cocked slightly to the side. The fact that they had not yet noticed this interaction caused her to look about the room a moment as if there was some horrible joke being played upon her. Jaden had become quite flushed in the face and her voice quivered as she tried to be as calm as humanly possible.*

"My dear doctors..." She said slowly but loud enough to be heard over their technical expertise. She closed her eyes to try and compose herself, the Captain's head still rubbing into her side, and his arm still about her waist.
"Would you be so kind... as to drop the topic of which you two are so enthralled with at the moment..." she stopped to take a sharp intake of air. The Captain's hand had found a particularly ticklish spot about her waist. She swallowed hard and spoke once more,
"... and would you two, instead, find out what it is he is doing?" Jaden managed to get out as she pointed to the Captain smothering chortles and chuckles into the side of her bodice.

Absolutely flabbergasted, Baxter just stood there. He was unsure of what to say or do as this was outside of his normal behavior. He looked at Miss Kale, "Well you must do what you feel to be appropriate."

He didn't want to risk further stress on the Captain by trying to force him away from Miss Kale, but surely if she wanted to get away she could find a legitimate reason to do so.

*She looked at Doctor Baxter with eyes aflame and her face embarassingly flushed. Trying to maintain what little composure she had left, she pursed her lips and spoke directly to him, whilest trying to fend off the Captain's mischievious hands.*

"Do what I feel to be appropriate? And what would you have me do, my dear Doctor, simply walk out of the room? It's as if brambles have enveloped me and rooted me in place!" she spoke quickly and asked sarcasticly as she fought off his hands. Once again she took a sharp intake of breath. The Captain must have found her first sharp breath as a que to attack her with fiendish fingers once more.

"Ah! I've found a sensitive spot... let's make game of this!"

*The Captain's words caused her great alarm and embarassment and made Jaden to back away ubruptly from the table upon which he laid. She tripped over some of the random debris about the floor and fell. She continued to shuffle backwards and practically plastered herself against the wall of the wardroom before attempting to catch her breath. She sat there, frazzled and barely could emitt the words.*

"Sir, I do not care if you are the Captain of this ship or not... For God's sake, CONTROL YOURSELF!"

*Stopping immediatley, Jack sat up and looked about.*

"Me? Captain of a ship? Ha! I'm all at sea when it comes to things nautical... I couldn't keep a piece of wood afloat. Though one day, I hope to be a great frigate captain. I'll learn the ropes and how to steer a ship. You'll see! Mr. Midshipman Kurisutofa shall prevail!"

*Pausing, he looked at Miss Kale, who by this point, had long since broken her temper. This was obviously no game, but rather serious. The Doctor had said something to the effect of his having lost his memory, but that was impossible... wasn't it?

He remembered his home in Bristol vividly; his mother and father at Ashgrove Cottage near the seaside; Lord Hawke, the family dog and his best friends Joseph Brooke & Sophie Carrington. Infact, Joseph and Jack were planning on finishing work on their Man-of-War the 'HMS THUNDERBOLT' when he returned from Spithead. They'd made it out of Old-Man Lamont's white picket-fence planks and an old abandoned rowboat. Jack had won the toss to be Captain, and Joseph was to be the Gunner. Sophie said that she'd wanted to be the 1st Mate, but wasn't sure of what she'd do. It had only been last week that Jack had stepped foot aboard the HMS 'Boreas' and begun his service as a Midshipman. Hopefully, he'd be able to go back soon. He missed them all so much.

Going over this in his head, he once again looked about the room and fixed his eyes on the Doctor. Tears came running down his cheeks and he whiped them quickly so as not to be thought a coward.*

"What's amiss? Has the 'Boreas' engaged an enemy? I should be at my station with the other boys. Captain Pellew will have my hide if I'm found lolly-gaggin'. Oh, by the way Missus... I'm terribley sorry I upset you. I thought you was just a playin'. I didn't mean to hurt you none."

*Whipping another tear from the corner of his eye, Jack lept to his feet and cocked his head to one side. Blood was still trickling from his wound and it scared him something aweful at first.*

"Sir, am I dying?"

"STAND WHERE YOU ARE, SIR!" Baxter knew enough of how the Royal Navy worked to know that he would outrank a young middy. If that is what the Captain indeed thought he was, this would mean that he had reverted to his childhood days as some sort of retroactive fugue. Not wanting to face the grave reality of the current situation, he instead decided to substitute an earlier skirmish he was a part of.

Not knowing anything of the modern day psychobabble the medical professors of London discussed, Baxter did the only thing he knew to do, which was to bring the Captain up to speed and orient him with the unfortunate truth.

"You, sir, are no longer a midshipman. You no longer serve under this Captain Pellew. You are no longer a member of the Royal Navy. You have defected from Britain and gone Pirate. This is the Lady Washington, the ship you call your own, over which you lord as Captain Kurisutofa. We raided Toulon not too long ago, and we are no on the run, trying to pass through Gibraltor and being pursued be none other than Lord Admiral Nelson himself. If you do not believe me, you can see the Bodicea directly behind us. The ripped a rather nice opening through this very wardroom to help you with your obervations. For the love of God, snap out of it, man."

Not knowing how the Captain would react to this, Reginald looked to Miss Kale. "Come on now, pick yourself up and fetch a straight jacket, just in case. If one cannot be found, fetch some irons."

Turning back to the "Boy" Captain he gently replied, "And no, thanks to my skills, you are not dying."

*So much to take in at once. No longer in the service, nor aboard the 'Boreas', but infact upon a vessel under his own command. Was this a dream? It couldn't be, it was far too real to be none more than a dream.

Striding from one side of the room to the other like a trapped beast, Jack caught his reflection in a looking glass that stood near the doorway. It was true: he was no longer 13, but a man of at least 35 years, or so it seemed. His once young and boyish face seemed worn and weathered, as if it had absorbed too much saltwater. His skin looked thick and stiff. He was my no menas an unattractive man, but he longed to still have the rosey-red cheeks of his youth. But nay, they too were long gone.

He was tall now. Nearer a good 6' ft. fathom than his once supreme 4' ft. 8" inches. He wore a post-captains uniform now which had definitley sene better days. This struck him odd seeing as how he had been told he was no longer in service to His Magesty. But maybe his grownself had a soft spot for such memories... he wore a ring! Was he married to Sophie? From the look of his uniform, this wasn't likely, so he placed the thought out of his mind. Overall, his olderself was quite respectful looking, but Jack still needed to know more about himself.*

"I must go upon deck presently and see things for myself. Doctor, am I fit to go above, or is there more work to be done to my skull? By the way, I'd be grateful if either of you would accompany me..."

Morgan could do nothing but stare at Kurisutofa as he went through his childhood memory, rooted to the spot. It was still fascinating to him that such events could even happen- he had seen men driven insane but not often one who had merely lost the memory of the better part of his life, and the others had all been ancient as the grave. Baxter handled the situation quite well, so the other doctor remained out of his way until told otherwise.

"Erm, if ye need tae go above, I'm th' one tae take ye- Baxter here be in far better shape tae be fixin' others than meself. Baxter, your orders?"

A thought suddenly occurrred to him. He turned back to face the captain.

"Answer me this, though- dae ye remember me?"

"Well, Morgan. You know as much as I. If you see him acting erracticly and endangering the ship, I suppose you should assume command. Let us pray that the Captain regains himself." With that, Baxter looked down and took a deep breath, and then motioned with his hand for them to go.

[Continued from Main Deck]

*John walks on into the wardroom too see how things are going, he spots Dr. Morgan*

How is h.......

*Just then, John sees the Captain sitting upright, and Miss Kale embrassed in the corner of the room*

Ah, Looks like he's fine wink , I'll just take my leave then...

*John takes his leave*

Maybe I should grab some charts, in hopes of an island we might of missed

Reginald shook his head at John's intrusion into his operating theatre. If this person was supposed to be running the ship in the Captain's stead, why was he lolligagging down here. His place should be on the quarterdeck instructing the crew.

"If our lives do indeed depend on that fop of a commander, then we are lost. The Captain must regain himself."

Baxter took a seat on one of the few remaining chairs. He put his elbow to his knee and cradled his head in his hand.

*Looking to the man in the corner, he thought he recognized him, but he wasn't entirely sure. Should he know him? Was this a test? Likey, but it was of no great importance who he remembered at this time: his ship was under enemy pursuit*

"I'm sure your name will comet o me, my dear sir. Now, if you'll help me up the stairs, I'd be more than sufficed with your giving me a tour about the deck. I'd like to gain my bearings, if you catch me."

*Nodding to the Doctor & the young girl in the corner who was very much in shock.*

"Thank you both..."

A sly grin comes over Morgan's face, and he forces himself to leave the poor captain alone.

"Well, then. I suppose I could introduce myself tae ye 's pretty much an'thin' I wanted, then. But I won'. Dr. Lord Robert Morgan, I b'leive I were formally called by ye yerself. Deputy Governer of the Isle de Provoka, last pirate stronghold left in the Atlantic. I've fought many a battle wit' ye, bu' tis somehow fun tae be an unknown."

Smiling to himself, Morgan grabs his crutch and pulls himself together, geturing toward the door.

"Come then, I'll show ye aroun' 's bes' I kin. I'm nae expert 'ere, bu' I be sure I kin chat wit' yer officers an' 'ave 'em re-intruduce yerself tae what's goin' on. Unless o' course ye'd prefer tae maintain th' illusion tha' ye knae who ye are an' wha' yer doin'. Let's start right here- ye be in wha' remains o' th' Wardroom, currently a medical deck. Off we go then."
