Prana stood motionless, simply staring at Waya. She was frozen like a deer in headlights, and she could feel the heat rising to her cheeks. However, by the look on his face, he didn't seem to remember her as she remembered him. So she was forgotten, then? She gave a sigh to herself softly, and turned back to face the friend she had known as an infant. But no, she could see the barest trace of recognition in his eyes. Perhaps, just perhaps, she was still there in his memories.

"Hello Waya." Prana uttered softly, holding out her hands to him, palm up. She didn't know why that particular gesture felt appropriate, but as her hands lingered in the air before her, she felt the strange warmth that sometimes radiated from them. The same warmth she used to try and heal Waya all those months ago. Prehaps if he didn't recognize her physical apperance, he would recognize this.

Karan looked at the floating dishes curiously, more interested in them than in hearing yet another person comment on the obvious. A spirit guide, eh? That sounded like it could be useful. And invisible someone to help you decide things.

Then he remembered the last time a spirit had tried to influence him. Shaking his head, he looked back at the visible people. The girl that had let them in was gone, but Prana seemed to be happy at least. Watching, he fiddled with the gift in his pocket.

A bit confused, Waya cocked his head to the side as he examined Prana's extended hand. Cautiously he reached out with his own, meaning to shake it and instead placing his in hers. And then there it was, "Prana..?" Was that the girls name? There was of course something so familiar in the air around her, something so faint he could barely remember it. But he was almost positive that was in fact her name.

"It's... been a long time." He commented lightly, having left his hand there in hers. "A very long one.."

Was Karan forgotten? Well for the moment yes. With Waya's attention on Prana, Neshoba took that moment to once more sniff around the boy. Soft and gentle brushes of fur would be felt against Karan's leg as the wolf closely circled around the boy.

So he truly did remember. Prana smiled, cheeks tinged pink, allowing the warmth continue to radiate between them. It was such a relief, that she wasn't completely forgotten. And the feeling of being remembered, of being reunited with an old friend, washed over her. She moved closer, hesitating slightly, before wrapping her arms around Waya, pulling him into a hug.

He felt the same. Still strong, still warm, still the same person she had healed so long ago. Taking the opportunity to reminisce, Prana inhaled deeply, remembering Waya's scent. His furs were very distinctive, and the complete mental image transported her to what she thought was only a distant memory.

So he hadn't been imagining that poke in him before. Either that, or he was still imagining it. Karan reached down, feeling around his leg. There was definitely something furry there. Furry and invisible. It was interesting that something that couldn't be seen could be touched. The concept was familiar, and not in a comforting way. Feeling cold wash over him, he took an instinctive step back.

"Who... who are you?"

A hug?! Oh god. Waya's face instantly went scarlet red when the girl pulled him into a hug. Wide golden eyes shifted to glance at Karan, asking for some sort of help in the situation but found the boy distracted by Neshoba. Great... That wolf was never helpful! What was he supposed to do? Standing there stiffly probably wasn't the reaction Prana had hoped for.

Licking his lips nervously, Waya gently began to pull away and tried not to offend Prana. Cheeks still a bright pink he looked at her and forced a smile. "Uh..." He paused, unsure of what to say in that sort of situation. He never had to deal with girls around his own age except his sisters, but Prana.... He found his cheeks darkening more as all sorts of random thoughts flooded his mind. Shaking his head quickly he smiled once more, scratching nervously at the base of his head. "We should all.. Uh.. Go sit down?"

And before he got an answer he turned, rather determined to take control of the situation once more. No more hugging that was for sure! It made his mind go poof. "Ah.. Drinks!" he turned to look at his two guests. "Um.. Sit and I'll get drinks." It gave him the needed excuse to leave a moment and regain himself once more.

Of course Karan wouldn't have gotten an answer from Neshoba, no one but Waya could hear him at the moment. Not that Karan would have cared for the wise crack the wolf made before following it's counterpart into the kitchen for drinks.

Blushing, Prana nodded and backed away. She definitely didn't mean to scare him. The fact that she had made him uncomfortable definitely worried her a little. Was it wrong of her to hug him? Maybe it was, especially considering he barely remembered her. She probably would have acted the same way. At least, that's what she told herself.

"Sitting would be nice," Karan put in. Waya's invisible friend was starting to creep him out, and if they all sat down perhaps he could get around to the real reason they had come. Well. His real reason, at least.

At the mention of drinks Prana nodded. "Something cold would be nice," she agreed.

At least he remembered preferences. "Maybe some fruit juice?" After all, while Karan liked soda well enough, Prana did not.

"Sure!" Came a shout of Waya's voice from the kitchen. There was the sound of glasses being moved around, and then a few minutes later Waya carefully carried out three glasses of juice. As he walked into the living room he flashed a small smile. "I hope apple juice is alright, it's all that we have."

First he handed one off to Karan, before the second behind held out to Prana, and then he'd take a seat down on the small chair besides the couch. "So... Uh.." Now what were they supposed to talk about?! Waya frowned a bit, looking down at his glass of juice nervously. He so didn't have people skills.

Prana took the juice, murmuring a soft "thank you" before sipping it. The amber drink was a little sweet for her taste, but she drank it anyway. It was, at least, cold and refreshing. And it kept her occupied so that she wouldn't say or do anything out of line.

It looked like he wouldn't be getting any help from her. Casting his eyes over the rim of his glass, Karan took a swig and smacked his lips. That stuff was pretty good. Not orange soda good, but good enough.

"So..."

This was no good. He HAD to say something, it was his idea to come, wasn't it?

"You've been okay?"

At least he managed to say something coherent that time.

Waya's ears perked a bit at the question, his head lifting to once more flash a smile at Karan. "I've.. Well I've had my ups and downs..." He rose a hand to scratch at his cheek nervously as he added this last bit quietly. "I almost died a few weeks back..." Ok so maybe he didn't have to break the news like that, but it was the truth! Frozen and with a head injury, close enough to death.

"It's a long story...." He said quickly before the other two could begin to ask questions. "But to make it short I went in the woods, fell and hit my head when I slipped on ice .. I was lucky that Jay found me." There was a pause and a wince as Waya reached down to rub at his knee.

"Well Neshoba helped..." He added before his head lowered and a glare came onto his face. "You were the reason I went out there in the first place, stupid wolf. Don't give me that...." Waya scowled. "Oh whatever. Go chase your tail."

Lifting his head and putting his attention back to Karan and Prana he blushed a bit, realizing how much of an idiot he must have looked like talking to the air. Ugh gods... He wished the wolf wasn't invisible sometimes.

Eyes widening with shock and worry, Prana jumped to her feet. She was still embarrased and hoping he didn't think she was... anything ecept what she was. But somehow he always seemed to be getting hurt. "Are you okay? Does anything still hurt?"

Karan blinked and looked at the spot the wolf might have been, judging from Waya's glance. There still wasn't anything there. "What's it like? The thing- whatever it is."

He was curious, but wary. The concept of an invisible advisor was far too suspicious for his liking.

Glancing at Prana, Waya gave a nod of his head. "Yes.. I'm fine now... Though I occasionally get head aches. It's to be expected though.... If you don't believe me come look yourself, but I'm all healed up." To make his point, he rose his hand and tapped the back of his head where the wound had been.

"and.." He looked at Karan. "Neshoba? He's a good companion to have. I mean I always have someone to talk to... I just feel stupid for talking to the air. Maybe one day someone else will see him too, so I won't be so embarrassed."

Ways's embarrasment went unnoticed. "Talking to the air isn't weird if you know something is listening. But isn't something wrong if only you see him? Maybe it's like that for a reason?"

Of course, maybe his concern was unwanted, but he gave it anyway. To him, if something was invisible it didn't want anyone else to know it was there. And that meant it was planning something.

Normally Prana would have been fascinated by the idea of a spirit guide, and would likely have added her own words of wisdom. However she was still stuck on the mentioned injuries. Hesitating momentarily, she accepted his offer and looked over the back of her old friend's head. Nothing seemed out of place, but that didn't stop her from worrying.

Waya's face turned scarlet at the shock he had. Prana actually began to look at his head! He hadn't actually thought the girl would take him up on the offer, but when she did he tipped his head forward to allow her better access. "Well..." Waya started to answer Karan's question. "I don't know... Maybe right now it is best that I only see him."

After a few moments of Prana's poking around his hair, he reached up to gently clasp her hand in his and lead it away. "That's enough... I told you there was nothing there..." A small smile was cast at Prana.

Prana hurriedly turned away. "I'm sorry... I was just..." Just what? Worried? Of course, anyone would be. But more than that, the small flicker of hope she had, the small chance that she could be helpful, that she could make up for everything. And in her haste, she made it worse.

"I'm sorry," she repeated softly, sitting down and steadily looking anywhere but at him.

Karan frowned, but accepted Waya's answer. After all, it wasn't as though he had to deal with that particular being. He'd said his piece, and that was all he could do. Or all he would do.

"Prana...." Waya said the girls name lightly, a small shake of his head coming after. "There is nothing to be sorry for. Stop apologizing for nothing. I'm fine, and it's not like it was your fault anyway." He continued, turning to face her a bit more. Slowly he began to reach out, but retracted his hand a moment. Was she upset with him now? He glanced at Karan, and then once more reached out to gently place his hand under her chin and lift her head up and to look directly at him. It was a move he saw older brother Gareth do to Jay, though little did he know Gareth was actually flirting with Jay at the time.

"Just smile."

Turning his attention to Karan once more he flashed his own nervous smile, putting his hands into his lap. "I really wasn't prepared for guests... We can all go to my room and play a game if you like? I have a few board games and cards somewhere.... I think." There was a small look of thought that passed his face as he pressed those white ears of his to his head.

Ways's touch ignited something inside Prana, sending fire to her cheeks. Reddening even more, she tried to answer, but failed, and ultimately just nodded. As long as he wasn't upset with her, everything was fine.

"We did actually come for a reason," she finally remembered, looking at Karan pointedly.

That's right, they did! How had he forgotten that? Scolding himself mentally, Karan reached into his pocket and pulled out a small packet of white tissue paper, handing it over for Waya to take.

"I've had this for a while, but I guess I was supposed to hand them out myself," he offered as explanation. "I think I thought you'd like that one."

Inside the paper was a ball chain, on which hung a round silver pendant. In it a wolf's silhouette howled at a sliver of moon, looking much the same as the moon on Karan's own scarf.
