I'm onnawufei on the Nano site and this is my first year trying it out. I haven't written anything more than a short story in years so this is a big leap for me, but I'm going to try my hardest to finish. I'm already surprising myself. mrgreen
My novel is revolving around the character of one of my balljoint dolls (Yan, he's in my signature) so I guess you could say it's a bit of a bonus to be able to have your subject sitting there staring at you to give that added motivation. At least so far I consider it a bonus... we'll see how I feel in another week.

Hey I'm Lacey Grey-also my NaNo name. This is the first year I've done it, because I didn't even hear about it until october 31st XD but I'm confident that I'll complete it as I'm already at 16,000 words.
I come from Kent, in England, my region was winning the total word count, but we just got beaten by Seattle stressed Oh well, I'll just have to write more ^^
My story is erotic gay fiction, about prostitutes, cops and one serial killer, I'm hoping I can see it through to the end as I've never actually finished a fic before XD
Anyone who wants to add me as a NaNo writing buddy, feel very free to do so ^^

Hi everyone! I'm titaniapixie here and on the NaNoWriMo website. This is the first year I've taken part, but I'm sure I'm going to be able to do it if I try hard.
I'm from Somerset in England, which is the really boring area. I'm fourteen, nearly fifteen, and I've loved writing since I was little.
My novel is loosely (very loosely) based on some of the events in my life so far. Unfortunately, I'm a bit behind everyone else because I didn't start until yesterday. Hopefully I'll catch up soon.

'Allo, everyone! I go by Calliope Della Corte pretty much everywhere. I'm from a little town in Minnesota and I'm a junior in high school.
This is my third year trying NaNo and this year I plan to actually finish. That's a hefty goal, considering I haven't passed 5000 words before. But this year I have rampant access to computers, scheduled days, and hopefully some well-managed homework.
My novel is a mystery, in a world where Madness has taken over. Further synopsis can be found in the Synopsis thread.

I had joined Nano and began working on it last year, but could never find time for it, so I've decided to try again.
I'm really far behind with a word count of only 500 words, give or take. Sad, yes, but I'm trying. XD Wish me luck.

Hi! I'm winter-san, WinterRhyanon on NaNo. I haven't ever done NaNo before, but I heard about it, and got all excited, because I'm not really doing anything else at the moment. ^_^ Technically I've got plenty of time, because I do nothing all day. Well, except for write. biggrin

And I'm writing a fantasy vampire novel, thing. I've got, like 33k words, so far. And my media productions class has been killing my word count.

Hi, I'm Rintaran. Most people just call me Rin. I'm originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, but spent most of my life in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. I graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with High Honours in English, and am currently attending Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario, Canada where I am obtaining my Bachelor of Education. This is my second year writing in NaNoWriMo. Last year I only managed a little over 33k, but since I also wrote over 100k words worth of essays (that I got good marks on), I figure the first failure could be overlooked. I managed to finish this year's NaNo last Sunday, so I'm just here for support for the rest of you this year. I've written many stories in the past, but my main focus for creative writing has been with poetry. I've had nine poems published throughout Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. My name is Flinks, I'm writing a Sci-Fi novel called Dias Azules this year, and I have not planned a word of it. I've written 37K so far, and I'm feeling good about it except for the fact that I have no idea what's going on. ninja

I'm Esper Ranger (here and at NaNo) from Louisville, Kentucky and 2007 will be my third year NaNoing. I failed to finish in 2005, but finished in 2006 with 54,000 words. That story was called Code Rangers and it was a mix of Code Lyoko and Power Rangers.
This year will be a steampunk Dungeons & Dragons fantasy called... Steampunks.

Heya! I'm Sumurika aka Lori. I'm a fifteen-year-old sophomore and live in Upstate New York (not the city.. in the middle of nowhere with the cows). I've been writing since I had the ability to hold a pencil and started my first story around age nine or ten (that never got completed, but nothing except poems and two short stories ever has). It's not so much that I have a procrastination issue, it's just that plotbunnies smack me in the face so often that it's nearly impossible to stick with one story long enough to finish it.
I'm psyched about NaNoWriMo. It'll be my first year. I was a lot more excited about a month ago, but I'm hoping to lurk around this guild and WF and the NaNo site to get pumped all over again. xD
Since it's my first year, I don't have a NaNo name yet. The site lets you register in October, right? So hopefully I'll have one soon and I'll come back and edit this post when I have one. It will more than likely be Sumurika as well. Edit: Registered. Name is Sumurika. Of course. xD
I've been more into writing poetry lately, just because of recent events mixed with an overflow of emotions that can't be contained in a single story. xDD
My story (unless I change my mind about it sometime in the next month) is somewhat teen-fiction-ish, about a girl who misjudges two guys because of misleading first impressions and realizes that they are nothing like they claimed to be. The working title is Devil's Handiwork. It sort of goes with it, but I'd like to change it when I get a better feel for the story.
Bah. This turned out way longer than it was supposed to. xD But I'm a writer, what did you expect?!

Hi everyone! My name's Lisa but I go by Amelia a lot. I'm 17 years old, live in Florida, and this is my first NaNo. I'm really excited about it! So far I've been doing a bunch of planning to keep me from wanting to start writing already. Lol.
My registered name on the NaNo website is AmeliaMiyana and I've linked to my profile on the site.
My story is part I of the seven part series I'm going to start working on. Part II - VI are going to take more planning but thankfully I have about a year to plan them.
