It appears we are constant opposition. It seems so. Don't worry, we'll EVENTUALLY find a thread where we can both post and not a have a duel between us insue. >_> Also, just to clarify that statement; I don't mind people liking the band, that's not the kind of ignorance I intend to correct. I simply don't like people incorrectly calling them black metal.

And like so many other posts in this thread, I have clearly stated they aern't. Melodic bm is quite different, with more classical and orchestral influences

I was not accusing you of the error. And there's no such thing as "melodic BM", BM itself is the most "melodic" genre of metal, so that's a redundant statement.

That has been my on~going joke for a while now....
Seeing that I am always so wrong to call genres. I never have gotten used to the hundreds ov genres....So I submerge them to my made~up genre, Devil Metal.
Has a nice ring, no?

In the Eighties all satanic metal bands were called black metal. The term "devil metal" is useless.

All hail the kings of black metal...
i've heard alot of negative comments on the overdone orchestra in Progenies of the Great apocalypse, but honestly, i think thats one of my favorite things about Dimmu Borgir. i dont know any other black metal bands that do that. if there are more, then im a moron, and i don't listen to enought black metal.

I thought that Puritanical Misanthropia Euphoria was an excellent album, as well as Darkness Throne Triumphant, or whatever it is called, was good.
