The old man subdued his reiatsu and held his sword out. He had a slight grin on his face as the cynical man signaled for one of them to come at him. He was old... but not to be triffled with.
"Come... one of you..."
He said coldly
Ketsurui cocked an eye brow and gocks at the old man...
"You've got to be kidding me..."
"Don't be so quick to judge Rui... let them study their own way... when it's your turn you'll show them your true strength."
Ketsurui's zanpakkuto said. It spoke to him and to him alone and her angelic voice echoed through his ears as he clenched his sword .

James watched them talk tot he master deciding to watch instead of getting involved. Man a student against a teacher they won't stand a chance. He thought to himself as he patted his old companion belted at his side. Guess we have to sit this one out too bad. He thought more to himself and wished he could communicate with his sword.

Tsai pulled out his zampakuto from the ground. He got up, his eyes looked calmer now that he wasn't surpressed by something. He swung the sword over and placed it onto his shoulder. "I'll go if no one here is willing to" he said calmly.
(Dice roll system or what? Traditional roleplay O.o?)

((Here goes... And Megumi, it is never too late to join if you are just showing up for class.))
Jin rose with the relief of the sensei's reiatsu, ready to begin the challenge given to him with a facial expression of ambition on his face. With his Zanpakuto out, he was ready to deal the first blow.
"Not if I strike first..."
On impulse, Jin dashed foreward with his Zanpakuto bared in a striking manner, aimed with a horizontal slash at the sensei targeted just around the side of his chest. With any luck, Jin might draw blood in class.

As itaru took a seat and watched the fight lazyeyed. ("i dont want to show off my abilities yet. Ill avoid a fight for now. Ill just watch these guys tear each other apart.") Thought itaru. he then eyed the the student accepting the teachers challenge.

Kaiya halted just outside the doorway to the classroom. She paused to catch her breath. Only when she was sure that she didn't look as if she'd sprinted the whole way here -- which she had -- did she enter. There appeared to be a fight going on. She was pretty sure that the old man was the teacher. He moved in a way that reminded her of the shinigami that had come to her district when she'd been tested. The other had to be a student. And a pretty stupid one at that, if he was challenging the teacher. But this was all good for her. She grinned. Maybe the teacher wouldn't notice her tardyness.

"Tsh" he sat crouched down on the floor, stabbed his zampakuto into the ground and watched. This would be a good time to look for any holes nad weaknesses the sensei may have.

James watched the attack and smiled. May be good yet i wish i could jump in even if i lose it would be a great fight. He said smiling to himself and then noticed the new girl. "At least i'm not the only late." He mumbled to himself.

Mai walked into the class casually. She didn't care if she was late or not as long as she got the necessary information. The first 10 minutes were never usually important, usually just an explanation. The part Mai was most interested in was the second part of class, it was usually either something hands-on or a test. She loved doing them both. She slide the door behind her shut. It seemed the teacher was teaching zanjutsu. She walked up and watched. She really didn't care about other's results. She wanted to give a try at whatever it was that they were doing.

Itaru noticed the others walking in the class room. ("man now i cant wait to fight...") Thought itaru as he stared at casual looking girl walking in.
