A deep sigh of frustration, exasperation, and helplessness was heaved from his lungs as he shook his head, although the corners of his mouth were twitching upwards slightly. Heaving himself onto all four hooves again, he was careful not to dump Luna on the hard rocky ground, gently shifting her off. "I'll go find us a place to eat then, wait here." And he trotted off into the storm.

Myoa looked regretfully at Luna. "Have I done anything wrong?" She asked hesitantly. She sighed. This was all her fault. If she hadn't showed up, Shadow and Luna would be.... Well, they would've had a wonderful time.

"I don't know..."She looked to the ground where Shadow had just lay. Her stomach didn't hurt any more, in truth she probably wasn't all that hungry but she needed him gone for just a bit. Now that he wasn't close anymore Luna did not feel the hostilaty toward the green mare. She needed to talk to Myoa...now, before things got out of hand. "It's just...when you showed up...something in me...hurt...I don't know why..." Watery eyes shifted once again to meet the winds. "Do you...?"

Shadow wasn't stupid- he knew the two mares needed to talk, and he should stay hidden for a while. Tossing his head to flip his wet forelocks away from his eyes, he shook his spotted coat free of rainwater- which was a futile effort, since it kept raining, and he was soaked again moments later.

Myoa glanced at the aqua mare. She noticed her change in attitude now that Shadow awa gone. "That pain..." Myoa chose her words carefully, "Was it a longing, or a...jealousy? Or was it just a stab in your heart?" Her own eyes watched the winds dance. The skies were her second home, and as a breeze twirled around her, she felt instantly better.

Jealousy? She wanted to leave again at that, there was no way she was jealous. Or was there? She settled back into the cold stone again to get to the bottom of this, Myoa seemed to know more then the oceanic mare gave her credit for. "It's...not a stabbing pain...more like a ripping feeling." She bowed her head so that her chin touched her heart, right where it hurt. "It makes me sad...but...why?" She shook her head a little confused, blinking back tears. "I don't know why!!!" She hated this confusion that was overwhelming her enterity, it was like her heart wanted to rip apart.

Although he wished he could do something, the dark stallion was well aware that a female problem was something that he couldn't interfere with. So, with that in mind, he kept wandering.

"The pain...it blocks out all good feelings, doesn't it?" Myoa's voice had again fallen into a whisper, as she relieved her childhood yet again in her mind.

Lunathiel cocked her head to the side more confused then before. Blocked out all good feelings? No. It didn't do that, it only brought in a new rage. One she had nver felt before, one that stifled the others. It didn't block them, not completely. She opened her mouth to voice this but something didn't seem right about the other mare. For a brief moment she considered just asking what was wrong but quickly decided against it.
"Shadow!" She called into the slowing storm. "Come quick! Something's wrong!!!" What was the point of just adding this mare's emotional stress to her own? After all, she was the initial cause and she certinally wasn't helping her solve it.

He was still wandering aimlessly about the rocky pathways in the pouring rain, wet mane and tail plastered to his muscular form as his hooves slipped and he stumbled across the ground. He could barely see where he was going, and it was beginning to worry him, as he slipped for the fourth time and ended up on one knee. He cringed at the new ache it brought on, and another frustrated sigh was heaved from his lungs. Couldn't things go his way, just once today?

Apparently not, as a sound in the distance caught his attention, and his head jerked up, ears pointed forward. He could have sworn he'd heard Luna call his name... so, heaving himself to his feet again, he started off in that general direction. Unfortunately, because of the rain, he didn't notice the sudden lack of ground beneath him until it was too late.

A startled yelp accompanied the sound of gracking ground as the edge of the cliff he was standing on gave way, leaving him the option to jump to the other side of the gaping chasm, or fall with the rocks. He chose the former, skidding across the wet rocks as he landed and collapsing onto his knees, panting from the exertion. He was safe... only there was one problem, he realized with a groan. He'd been forced to jump onto the ledge he was currently standing on, unable to decipher that it was just a ledge- there was no way up or across. He would have to jump to the other side... and it didn't look too promising, he realized with a sigh.

"Oh!" Myoa shivered, as she felt a huge disturbance in the air a few miles away. "You're right, something's definitly wrong. I felt something in the air, a few miles south. I think maybe a rock slide?" She cantered cautiously to to south. She grimaced, definitly something big. "You're right, we need to hurry. Sir Shadow went in that direction!" Hurridly, she ran off in that direction. She hoped Shadow was okay, because if anything happened, it was her fault.

A delicate brow arched in mild confusion as the electric green mare bolted into the storm. Nothing was wrong with Shadow...something was wrong with her. Something was really, really, really...oh what did it matter. There was no use making the rocky relationship worse. She moved quickly after the other mare but she couldn't seem to keep up with the green speck in the distance.

Her hooves pounded hard sending splashes of mud and rain water onto her under coat. What disturbance was Myoa talking about? Lunathiel couldn't feel anything at all...and suddenly it did. A wrenching feeling in her stomach that made her want to throw up and a voice in her ear. 'Hurry...' It whispered. She didn't know what it meant until the speck seemed to be growing closer, something on the ground near it. "Shadow..." What provoked the words, she didn't know but it was him. "Shadow!!!" she shrieked, heart about to burst as she moved even quicker to his side.

Trying to shake the numbness out of his sore legs, the stallion heaved himself up onto his feet again, offering a sheepish grin to the fast approaching mares on the other side of the canyon. "My apologies, ladies, but I seem to have gotten myself stuck over here..." he took a second look at the small ledge he was trapped on, a self-suffering sigh escaping his lungs as he judged the distance between the two cliffs. "Unless either of you have a better suggestion, it looks like I'm going to have to jump this..." 'Which appears to be a little short of suicide,' he added inwardly. How did he get himself into these messes?

Myoa eyed the canyon, then shook her head. "Jumping seems like suicide..." She wasn't sure what she could do. Her wings weren't completely soaked, she could probably fly over to Shadow, but what good could that so? He was much, much too heavy for her to carry. She investigated the canyon more. There wasn't another ledge in easy reach, a jump really did seem like suicide. What could they do? "Luna...any ideas?" She asked, her voice betraying her worry.

Lunathiel looked at the black stalion pathetically. She wished that she had never even suggested food now. She darted to the edge of the cliff and froze staring down at the deep chasm bellow. Myoa was right, jumping would be suicide and that was guilt she didn't want. "Can't you fly?" she asked the winged soquili as though the mare was completely brainless.
