I absolutly cannot stand on any level romance novels about adults. i can handle when the say the most exciting "sexual" movement is kising but after they want to " rip thier clothes off" i start begging for brain sopa. i'm sorry i just don't want to know what your doing in you bedrooom. Sort of like the op i guess.

Oh no, I have no problem with sex scenes...until they become actually important to the plot. Thats what turns me off. Sex should not be a plot device.

Haha, you mean like Symphony of Ages, right?

Well, I don't know.... Think about how most people on earth are *ahem* conceived. What better plot devise than that...?

Okay, I'll give you that...but BESIDES conception.

I don't mind if its for character development...but plot important to me, is a no no.

...That's a little silly, don't you think? Most people, if they liked the movie that was based on a book, would want to read that book to see what changed and what didn't.

In the case of Harry Potter, I actually commend the director on doing so well at packing such huge books (later, of course) into 2 hours of film. It's really impressive.

But in the forth movie they left out a lot of details that are required to understand in the fifth book.

I will never ever ever read a book by George R.R. Martin. Why? Because I hated the first bit I read of him, and said I never would. If I did now, I'd have my best friend AND my dad giving me grief if I liked it. So I stick to never reading it.

Also, I won't read anything that has what seems like an overdone plot. You know, oh, this has to end this way. I've got no use for them.

I absolutely refuse to read any teenage novel that has either a couple making out or a half naked girl on it (legs, bikinis, etc.). I mean, I'd at least like to be able to take my book out in public!

I still refuse to read any Clive Barker, Stephen King or Anne Rice

The Red Badge Of Courage.

And none of you should read it either, seriously.

This is probably gonna make me look really weird, but I couldn't stand reading Lord of the Rings. I kept getting bogged down at the Council of Elrond and even skipping past that I found it kinda dry. It's more like reading a textbook than a story to me...

I loved the movies though - much easier to digest.

I absolutely REFUSE to read The Clique series, Gossip Girl, or the Georgia Nicholson series. They make my brain feel mushy just thinking about them. xp

I don't read much of anything in the teens section, as you're just asking for the attack of Mary-sues if you do that.

Yeah, but the first director wasn't even working of the project then.

Chris Columbus (one of my favorite directors ever!) ---> Directed the first and second movie, and was the producer for the third movie. I hope he comes back to direct the seventh movie!

I'll read any kind of book honestly except one kind. Books of curses/spells/summonings. I am terrified of magic and i'm also terrifeid of bugs, but i'd read a book about bugs cheese_whine
