Anastasia wondered into the Main Hall, taking slow steps. The unfamiliar surroundings frightened her, and she would have rather been at home. But she couldn't exactly get home at this point, now could she? Deep in thought, head bowed, she heard voices drifting through the stiff air. She raised her head, now alerted. They were rather near. She could make out the presence of two figures... young girls? Her age?
Anastasia didn't really want to talk.
She actually quite hated talking to new people.
Then again, there was no avoiding this situation. She took a deep breath and steped towards the girls.
But she still hated it.

"You really think we could go there?!" that was incredible news! "Aren't we supposed to...stay here all the time..?"
Suddenly, more and more interesting possibilities opened before her...
"And yes, I love to dance! Mother taught me! She said that it's what I'm going to do when I'll grow up, so I have to do it good!"

Maki looked up, crossing her arms over her chest as she tried to think of how they would do it. "I'ma not sure? Maybe someday our master will let us leave the planet for a mission? We could do it then?" She said simple with a nod of her head.
But, things were once again distracted from earlier talk as they spoke about dancing. "I'sa would always love to dance better. Maybe you could teach me some moves later on? Don't ya think that would be fun?" She asked, slightly excited at the thought of learning something new to do. If it was something new and exciting, then Maki would love to try it at least.
Someone else seemed to be in the room, and as Maki looked around she could see the figure of a girl near their age. She was blindfolded though, which confused the young theelin girl. But, that wasn't a reason to be mean or ignore her. Looking up at her, Maki smile at her. "Are chu new to the temple as well? If you need any help finding food, we've got some thanks to Jin here." She added with a smile, looking at the droid.

"so, that's settled!" Pala's smile grew bigger. "and ofcourse I can teach you! it's fun!"
When she noticed the newcomer, she was clearly surprised with her appearance. "..are your eyes sick?" it practically escaped her mouth, before she managed to control herself. Stupid slow mind. Stupid stupid.

At least the girls didn't ignore her. Anastasia kept her head still, and without looking around (well, she couldn't exactly) knew what they looked like. They were around her height, and around her age. She listened carefully.
"Yes, I'm new," she said quietly and carefully picking her words, "But I'm not all that hungry. Thank you though."
She bowed her head quickly, noticing the droid. She smiled faintly.
And then the other girl started asking questions. Anastasia had become custom to answering questions about her blindfold.
"All people of my race are like this," she explained, still speaking softly, "We cannot see through are eyes, but instead we use the Force to, in a sense, visualize our surroundings."
She had turned to face the girl.
"By the way," Anastasia took another deep breath, steadying herself, "I'm Anastasia."
A nervous half-smile fluttered across her childish lips.

"Wooooow..." Pala's eyes almost started shining. "How is it, to see with Force? it sounds exciting!!!"
"And my name is Pala'olan." she quickly added. "Nice to meet you!"

Camlan had slowly drifted to the back of the group as others started to gather. Perhaps, he thought to himself, it was feeding time since they all seemed to be hungry at the same time. He blinked and thought about this most carefully. The amaran tended to overthink many things and this was one of them.
His ears easily heard the conversation between Maki and Pala as they spoke about their lives before the Temple. The more he thought, the more he remembered. Strange, was that supposed to happen as well? Camlan was born on Naboo not Tatooine or Dantooine. Why would he think that? Probably because the life of a trader child was very confusing.
Another girl approached and Camlan wondered if they just sprouted here at the temple. He had yet to see another male besides Edan unless you counted TooJay. Moving back, he barely caught her name as she spoke to the girls up front. Giving a slight bow, he said nothing.

After snagging Jin in one arm and the bowl of fruit in the other and scolding the droid lightly, Edan stood in silence and watched the girls' conversation much like Camlan. Girls really could talk a lot, couldn't they? And once again, he felt out of place by their chatter, so in turn released the orb to the air once again to use a newly freed hand to pick up a piece of the strange food and take a bite. Sweet... slightly sour... juicy... delicious!
Happily the ten year-old munched away on the treat, making his way over to the fox-boy with the bowl held out towards him. "You said you were hungry, right?" A sloppy grin accompanied the words as he swallowed his latest bite. That done, he also took the time to wave to the new girl with the hand still gripping the partially eaten fruit, smiling to her. "Hi! Welcome to the temples, Anastasia. I'm Edan, that's Jin," he said as he pointed to first himself then the droid, using the name he'd heard her just introduce herself as. "You sure you're not hungry? There's a bunch of good fruit, and who knows if we'll have to fend for ourselves to find food here."

Anastasia replied to Pala slowly.
"I suppose when you've seen this way your whole life..." a pause, "It gets rather boring. And you long to see as a normal being does."
Her wording wasn't exactly child-like, but she wasn't afraid to show her knowledge. The fact was, she was afraid of beings in general. Not that she was anti-social... Just shy.
Anastasia took a moment to wonder if she was the only one not hungry. She also wondered how long she would have to be in the hall for. The fact of the matter was, she didn't really know what she was doing in said hallway. She easily made out Camlan, and wondered who he was. He hadn't said anything. And then there was the other boy, Edan.
"I'm not hungry, thank you," she said carefully.
The words were acompanied by a slight smile, that could've almost been mistaken for a small twitch of the lips.
"But," she continued, "I do a question."
Looking (or more visualizing) around at the group, Anastasia bit her lip.
"What are we doing in this hallway?"

Camlan carefully took a piece of fruit from bowl and sniffed it. It was something he was familiar with and he bit into with relish. A bit of juice dribbled down his chin and he wiped it away.
He paid close attention to the one called Anastasia as she talked. His golden eyes looked at her with interest but did not make eye contact. Munching slowly, he allowed the more talkative ones a chance to express himself.
However.
"I am Camlan."

"Oh... I'ma sorry." Maki was quiet after that, after all it seemed like she was getting some negative vibes from Anastasia. Of course it was most likely Maki's mind playing tricks on her, but she couldn't help but remain quiet and listened to everyone.
But, as she heard Anastasia ask the question, she felt a little confusion come across her as well. "That's a good question... I'a... Edan and Me were having singing lession as we went searched for food. But... That's about all I'sa know. I think chu can go to your room if you want, And I can lead you there if needed. I'ma Maki, so ya know as well." She responded with a nod of her head.
Of course, she most likely already said that earlier. But, it was easier to just repeat yourself? Now wasn't it?

"...You can't just...take off the blindfold, or something?" The girl looked at Anastasia with a smile. "Or can't you see normally? If yes, then I'm sorry.."
"...You had lessons now?" Pala's attention shifted to Maki. "..I hope we didn't disturb you..? And just...how exactly do lessons look here?"

Maki shook her head quickly at Pala, "Oh no, I was just giving Edan singing lessions for fun." She said, nodding her head with a bright smile at Pala. "Chu see, the masters have us do lessions at times, but then we often have alot of free time by ourselfs. But.. I think we need to do some training sometime soon. Hm.. If either of chu wants to practice with me, we can do that later?" she said, talking about the lessions from earlier that they needed to do. "I know of one lession the masters want us to do." She said simple to them.

"...and what is that?" Pala bended her head slightly. She didn't like much being ignorant.
"...since you are here for some time, maybe you could tell me..." She looked at the blindfolded girl "...us, what exactly is expected from us..?"

It hadn'et even been a full day since arriving at the Temples and Braith found herself wandering the massive structures to get a feel of the layout. The last thing she wanted was to be in a hurry to get somewhere and get lost on the way. Then again, needing to know where she was going at all times was a trait that her parents had drilled into her. One can't really go and steal something if one doesn't know where that something is and multiple exit points. It was certainly one of the more practicale of skills that Braith was taught and one of the few she had no problems with utilizing.
With the tip of her tail gentle moving back and forth Braith found herself within a rather large and plainly decorated hall. Rasing her eyes up she caught sight of the few skylights that allowed light to filter through but besides that the walls and floor held little decoration. This certainly wasn't a place any thieve would be interested in, but the construction of the building itself held a mystifying look to it. Anyway, it appealed to Braith and the young Farghul enjoyed herself.
The sound of voices caused Braith's ears to twitch slightly. There were others up ahead but she wasn't all the sure if she wanted to meet anyone else, at least not yet. She had only arrived here. Surely she couldn't be expected to go around and make introductions already? But a small voice in the back of her mind which sounded much like Eriop's countered that thought and forced Braith to sigh. She might as well get it over with.
With her tail now firmly wrapped around her leg in nervousness Braith walked towards the group of beings who all looked to be about the same age as her. Ears drooping slightly, Braith stood back from their grouping. Maybe if they didn't notice her she would be able to sneak away. Then she could at least say she tried to make friends.
