San Diego California-- people are reeeely cool around here, layed back about it all. You get your few but they're are generally frowned upon, so they're "quiet" homophobes and the most they'll do is make a show of avoiding someone who is a known homosexual.

Narumi
I live in NY, near Manhattan (out on long siland) on the island people are homophobes -.- heck anyplace BUT the village (in nyc) seems to be homophobic. its kinda sad, because well, for some one who has an intrest in girls, their very hard to come by, even in thecity, most manhattan folks tend to be.. well "shallow" to an extent (no offence if anyone happens to live there) i guess really it all depends on where you go. I'm pretty open about myself, in both my faith (pagan) and in my sexual/love prefrences. sadly alot of people dont share that outlook. =/
Whne you look like i do, overweight and such people tend to aovid you,so it hard to tell stare =/

I have a couple of friends in Manhattan... Cool, pagen! Most people are really strict about being gay... Well, just think, it could be worse.

Valtanwar: That's a first, quiet homophoes... *thinks about it and how we can ust it to our advantage*...

I live in N.B, but I use to live in Ontario where people are more opened and accept sexualities. But in N.B there aren't many lesbians/bisexuals/gays. If there are then they're still in the closet. Really, I am too, because I'm scared to tell anyone have them all turn their backs on me. But there's this one girl heart Hawwwt, and she's opened about it. =] I just don't know her well enough to ask her out. And also, I kind of like another girl that lives in Ontario, and she likes me too! I'm going to kidnap her XD -scurries away-

Here, there's the small minority of the people that will accept you, the slightly larger minority of people who will hate you for it, and the large majority don't pay any attention anyway. Where I live seems rather split between being liberal and being conservative. But I live really close to Madison, which is super liberal. Sooo that could help a little. xd sweatdrop

Even though I said I wouldnt care what others think. I have to post this

This is how it went for me. Now since I've had time to look back and think about it

I have a small group of friends. Consitsting of mostly girls

Joanna
Kayla
Ashley
Magen
Erin
Crystal
Angela
Miea
Kendra
and
Jarry(I'm the only one who hangs out with him)
Kennen

I've known most of them since 6th grade. So after knowing them for a few years I felt fairly happy with the group of friends I had, happyer since I their the most friends I've ever had for such a long time since I always move! Anyways... So I've known them for a few years. In the winter of 2003 (8th grade) I finally admited to my self I was bi/les, and have been for..well my whole life. So about 6 month later in June of 2004 about two weeks before we graduated and school ended I finally told them. It was at lunch after I had gotten of work (I worked in the school kitchen) We where all standing around when I finally got the balls to tell them

Magen "Hey Kathrin, are you a lesbain?"
Me "No....I'm bi"
Friends *gasp*
Magen "Oh my god! thats SO gross!
Joanna"Your kidding me"
Me "I'm not joking. I'm bi. I like girls and guys in the same way"
Everyone "Thats just so wrong!"

Feeling like trash I walk off. The library is closed at lunch and I had no where else to go so I sat infront of the library, with my face barried in my knees to hide my tears. I could still hear them on the other side of the doors talking about it since they were only 25 feet and wall away from me. Magen was telling anyone who walked by who would listen that I was "a ******** lesbain" So by class almost everyone knew and was asking me if it was true. I just shruged and said 'Yeah, I'm bi." I just ignored it and tryed to go on knowing that summer break would give them time to get over it.

Most of them are over it. There a few people from my school who didnt know they being my two friends Kendra and Jarry. Kendra dosent think I'm about to hit on her and Jarry is just Jarry. He still sees me as Kathrin.

But the majoty of my friends.... stare Magen and Angela still insalt me. And the others have made some rude comments about it.

Here in Georgia its not bad being openly gay or lez or bi,but its not good either.Som people hate you for the way you are, bbut others dont care.At school some guys will make fun of the gay guys and some girls will make fun of the lez and bi girls. This one girl in my algerbra class is bi,but people don't really seem to care.Maybe it'sbecauz she is popular.I don;t know.I guess it all depends of were you stand on the social ladder whether or not your excepted.I know quite a few religious people, and most of them dont like gay people, and if they do,their parents don't.I have noticed that lez and bi gurls are more except then gay and bi guys.Another thing i noticed is that most of the gay, lez, and bi people at my school are punk or goth.A few people assume that just because your a punk or a goth your door doesn't swing the right way.Jocks and preps are the people who mainly make fun of us,but after a while you learn to tell them to ******** off or ignore them.Like most places a lot of guys are turned on by the thought of two chicks kissing. stare By the way I'm bi,but havent told everyone yet.

Hello to you all!
This will be my first psting in this guild. Well, I live in Sweden in a little town that no one probably never heard of. Here.. Well, there are so many different groups here... I was lucky enough to find some friends that accepted me and actually, felt the same way or at least did not dismiss the fact that they might be bi themselves.. But of course.. I still am a little scared talking about it.. But thankfully I have never got harrassed. Maybe a rude comment here and there but nothing worse than that.. But when the pride march took place in Stockholm, there were a lot of jerks who totally destroyed it and abused gay/bi people. That is what you get for thinking you live in a nice and accepting country.
