((Oh, hm, I never replied to Aradia..~))
Professor Feline took the horn and spent about ten excrutiatingly careful minutes gluing Caiden's horn back on.
((There. XD))
After the crisis in the lab passed, and Caiden was beginning to heal, Feline had spent a few days out in the desert collecting samples of various things. She returned shortly after, however, and realized there was a dustling in her presence that she wasn't too familiar with. She set her experiment tools down on her counter and took her sandy labcoat off, then wiped her forehead off with a towel. It was a hot day.
"Hello," Feline called to the dustling, and smiled. "I haven't seen you around..." She pondered what he needed.

Clyde stepped up towards the Dr. How was he supposed to tell a two legged he'd want to breed but didn't know how. The feather! Of course! He searched around in his own fur for the small feather he saved. upon finding it he showed the doctor. He was sure she would understand because of course he appeared loev struck, and dazed. He longed to have kids with Aletta but how would he find the best sand in all of the lands? He wanted a map, but that would have been too easy.

Crow stopped suddenly as a large yellow.. wait.. could it be? A dustling! Just what she had been looking for.. She wondered for a moment if her aunt and uncle missed her. Doubtful. She raised an eyebrow as the yellow dustling seemed to growl at her. Cute. Now where was this.. Dr. Feline? Was that who she was supposed to see about abandoned dustlings?
She walked past the dustling, wondering where she could find the Doctor. She had been suprised, this looked more like a house then a lab. Nothing in jars, besides, food, of course. She made a meandering course through the rooms, taking a quick peek in each one. Nothing scary there. But where was the Dr?

Feline kneeled next to the new, brown dustling and looked him over-- and found Aletta's feather. "Hmm," she pondered, "this looks familiar. A girl's feather, I see? In love, are we?" Feline laughed a little and adjusted her glasses as she studied the feather. "She must be a pretty one. I just wish I knew what else you need..."
As she heard footsteps, she looked up and around. "Hello?" she called. "I'm over here, in the corner, if you needed me~"

Clyde turned his head down and blushed. Clyde stood up on his back haunces and stared at the Doctor. He seemed to be very lost... He then had an idea he quickly loped out of the lab and into the oasis grabbing a handful of sand and tossed it onto the floor once he stood back at the Dr's feet. He made a horrible look. It said I don't like this sand I want better sand.... He wanted his babies to be the best of the best that he could ever make.

Hrrm? Crow turned her head, hearing a feminine voice. Over there? She walked quickly over to where she had heard her. A young woman was kneeling next to a brown dustling, holding a few feathers. She shuffled her feet slightly, knowing how bad she looked, scrubby, muddy pants, with a t-shirt. It wasn't her fault, though, sha had had to walk a few miles into the desrt before she had found a bus stop. She nodded. "Um.. I saw an ad..in the newspaper", she quickly dug out a worn lookin peice of paper with thier ad on it, "And I was wondering if you had any available dustlings?"

Feline watched. It was obvious that this dustling was deperately trying to convey his emotions to her, but she wasn't quite sure. "I can see... you're in love... but sand? Yes, you use sand to breed." She looked into his eyes and realized he didn't -want- that sand. "Not that sand? Well... all sand is pretty similar, boy..." She stood back up and tapped her chin. "Well, if sand is your problem, there is a very nice, soft blend of sand near the base of the nearest mountain range-- still a while away, but the sand has been ground up into very fine, reddish-orange powder. I actually took some samples of that..." she began to ramble, and grinned. "But yes, near the mountains."
Looking back, Feline realized a girl had entered her lab. She looked like an outsider-- and she had never seen her before. "Oh wow, someone actually replied to our ad? I assumed no one would come out to the middle of the desert just for these creatures!" She stepped forward, placing her hand on the girl's shoulder. "Interested in a dustling, are we? We've got a few..."
She led her off to a separate room, where a few dustlings were slumbering or staring off into space.

Clyde nodded a lot and thanked the dr. the only way he knew how. By tackling her and quickly running off. Mountain mountain mountain... sand mountain must get...
-insert long quest here-
((Thanks Feline<3 Now I just need Krissie to get on so clyde can give Aletta the sand))

Crow grinned. The doctor didn't seem to mind her scruffy appearance. That was good. She nodded quickly and followed her into a seperate room. She stared at all the dustlings. All of them looked nice..except for a few. Looking in the corner of a room, she saw an old looking lavender one just looking into space with the saddest expresion on her face. "Who's that one?" She asked, pointing to the lavender female.
The lavender looked up at the ceiling. No one wanted her. She couldn't even remember her old name..she didn't have one anymore.. Was someone in the room? Yes, the kind docotor..and.. a stranger? Lazily she turned her head to look at the incomers. The doctor was standing next to a scruffy looking girl. Pfft. Just somebody to adopt one of the younger ones. She sighed and rolled over on her back, not noticing that the girl was pointing to her.

Feline was tackled, and once she regained her composure, she waved goodbye to Clyde. "Oh boy... well, I'm glad I answered his questions. Anyways, where were we?"
She stepped forward, most of the dustlings nodding at her in somewhat of a longing yet hopeless manner. "Her? Ah, she's been here so long we just call her the lavender one. Been here for years." She turned and gestured towards the other dustlings. "We've got many to choose from, some prettier, some older, some younger, some... a little odd." She glanced at a red and black, evil-looking male in the corner. "Some are reserved, however." She turned back to the lavender one. "She isn't."

"Years?" Crow felt pity for the poor thing. She wanted to just run over to her, and tell her averything would be ok.. But that would look foolish.. "Umm.." She rubbed her forehead, "She isn't reserved?" she pondered for a moment. "Could I take her in?" She quickly dug into her pockets, bringing out a few dollar bills. She grinned sheepishly, before digging into her other pocket, and producing a twenty dollar bill. "That should be enough.." She looked at Dr.Feline, "Right?"
The lavender female turned around slowly. What was all the commotion about? Was that girl pointing to her? Probably asking if dustlings get any older, she thought with a snort. But interested now, she heaved herself up into a sitting postion, and watched the two humans converse in that loud rackety noise of thiers.

Feline's eyes lit up. She took the money and nodded eagerly, "Yes yes, she's all yours, ma'am!" Keeping up the lab was rather expensive, so making some money off something that had been around so long was refreshing. "Enjoy her-- just be careful though, she night take a little while to warm up to the idea of being owned again. Abandoned pets are always a little more mistrusting at first than normal ones." She looked down at the lavender dustling, and then pointed to Crow. "New owner."

Crow's eyes lit up. She finally had a dustling! "Thankyou!" she grinned at the little dustling. "Mistrusting?" She nodded, "I'll be careful.Promise." She shifted her feet. "Do you.." she gritted her teeth at the thought of going back to her aunt and uncle. It felt to good to be free like this, "Do you have a place where I could stay..?" She grinned sheepishly.
The lavender female stared at the doctor. Was she pointing too.. a new owner? For HER?! Oh man..Oh man..Could this be happening? She wanted to cry with relief and screech with anger at the same time. This person would probably abandon her too..just like her old one, she thought bitterly. But she realized she had to go. She didn't have much of a choice. With a great sigh, she heaved herself up, and walked towards the Doctor, all the time warily watching her new 'owner' with bitterness in her eyes. (( I have to go for a wee bit..))

Feline nodded as she led her back to the lab door. Upon opening it, she pointed down a road to the left. "There's many housing structures here for dustling owners to live in for free-- choose an empty one you fancy and move right in. Keys are under the mats for new houses."
((Alrighty! :3))

"Okay. Thanks!" Crow smiled at the doctor, and quickly began walking towards the house, The lavender dustling warily following her.
Why was she following her? She should go back.. But she didn't. She looked back at the doctor with a face of despair.
