When you discover that the phone book or dictionary is your favorite book of all time.

When all you ever do is stick your nose in a book.
When everytime you get a new book, you smell it because you like the new book smell.
When you get in trouble for reading during class when the teacher is still teaching.
When you end up being anti-social because of books. (I still love them though!)
When the only thing you ever ask for when you get money is books, books, and more books.

When your new librarian gets the idea that the high school should have a book fair, & by the first day of it's over, she has to order more books. They had alot of good titles. blaugh

You have cataloged every book you've read since your Freshman year in High School and your goal is to read 400 by the time you graduate.
I'm only 50 books away! Hoorah for Senior year!

You have a dream about reading a book. When you wake up you're pissed off cause you never really read it, but you wanted to.
That happened to me this morning.

-When you're so absorbed in the books you love that you don't realize you haven't started the book you were assigned for English until the night before...and you finish it anyway (I didn't finish it...it was The Hobbit; still haven't read that one).
-When you have been able to post very -long- posts in threads exactly like this, and each post is different. And you can't find those posts anymore...
-When you get pissed when people actually come up to you and take the bookmark out of your book. (Makes me mad.)
-When you're absolutely PISSED when your mom makes you go work right when you get to the literal sentence in which the climax begins, and you know this because your heart is pounding, you're close to tears (or are in tears), you're weak from lack of oxygen since you stopped breathing five minutes ago, you have self-inflicted wounds from clenching your fists so hard, you have butterflies in your stomach that threaten to escape, you started less than three days ago, and you've already read it.
-When people say you're insane for reading said book because it is huge and they would never dream of going near such a book.
-When you think after said conversation, "You should have seen me last week...or next week."
-When romances are no longer for the...well, romance...and more for the actual story.
-When you fall in love with every character in a book (and you aren't bisexual).
-When you can actually come up with all this crap.

When you forget to bring something to read with you and you pick up a copy of the latest book your reading in the bookstore (pick up where you left off) and don't buy it. Constantly reading funny parts of the book you are reading to friends, relatives or anyone that will listen.

You lost count of how many books you have.
When you can't even walk in your room because you can't see the floor anymore because of all the book.
When you start thinking how many books you could have buy with the money you just spent on something else.

Lol, I read this entire thing and most of them are something I would do or things I have done.
Here's my contribution::
-When your friends and you sit around on their bed (or yours) and chatter wildly about the series you've just finished with one another.
-When you know the way to your friend's heart is through a book.
-When you volunteer at your library not just for the credits, but for the fun of it.
-When your family know exactly what to get you for Christmas/birthday without even asking you. (They know I read way too much)
-When you cry over a book.... and it's the fifth time you've read it.
-When you count every single book you have just to smile at the sheer amount and feel proud.
-When you wish your guinea pig would comply and behave for just a few hours so you'd have a reading partner.
-When you wish fictional characters were alive.
-When you fall asleep with a book in your arms.
-When you make sure your books stay clean every single day... or every couple of hours T__T
-When the urge to read is much greater than wanting to hang out with your boyfriend/girlfriend.
-When you'd be the person who would go back into your house if it were on fire just to grab as many of your precious books as you can.
-When you wake up and the first thing you grab is a book.
-When you try talking your non-reading boyfriend/girlfriend into starting a series with you.
-When most of your internet time is spent in this guild posting.
I've done all, except the fire one... but I sure as Hell would try to save them!

When you think $15 is cheap when buying a 180 page book.
What? It was The Great Gatsby. I had been looking for a paperback copy that was less than $20 for a year almost.

-Upon discovering what it is, you marvel at how you never knew it existed
-You join in a heartbeat
-You sign up for a free account, enjoy cataloging everything for a good two hours or so, only to come to the awful truth that you may only have 200 books registered
