gentleflame ...ugh I wasnt going to, but Gindion her responce to your comment on page 49, pushed me, into a rant... I got out the rant hat, and typed for an hour... my rant is long.. people watch out. LOL. Top of page 50 y'all. WOOO HOO 3nodding I just read the whole post and then called my husband into the room to make him listen to it. I think your rant box needs to be gold plated and hung in a trophy case. I swore i wasn't going to read anymore of that post but i have to say some of it gave me the greatest laugh i've had in days who knew that i was Tragic Christmas Epona Bride FluffyThumbtacks Well if anyone ever asks me the definition of self-indulgent tripe I can just always hand them the first post in this thread. And if anyone asks me the definition of complete ignorance, religious fanaticism, stupidity and not really considering your moral beliefs in the real world, I can show them the rest of the posts in the topic. Like, er, yours. xd i'm feelin all giddy that i got people annoyed over there. but i will bow to the truly amazing post of gentle flame. i'm still saying WOW.

I breast fed all five of my kids, the first one for 6 months, the second almost a year and the triplets I pumped enough milk for 2 1/2 babies for 6 weeks before I colapsed and gave up. I never worried about where I was around town, at appointments, at the mall, when the child was hungry I fed them. After the first child I became good at being discrete, most people wern't even aware I was holding a child little on feeding them. I wore cloths that made it easy to feed without having to set down even. I just threw the baby blankie over my shoulder covering both the child and me and tucked the childs head neatly under my shirt holding their chin and lower lip in my fingertips so I could quickly direct it to the source. I fed my second child in fact almost a year, her father would even bring her to the DQ where I ran the night shift so I could feed her on my breaks every 4 hrs. We only lived 6 blocks away though.
Now with that all said I'll mention my most embarassing moment that dealt with a woman not wanting to breast feed in public. It was on a flight back form Alaska to Oregon, I was sick with an inner ear infection and I was about three weeks pregnant with the triplets. There was a woman with a couple month old baby on board and the baby started screaming as soon as we were up in the air. It's normal for babies to cry because of the preasure on their ear drums. Big kids and adults can chew a stick of gum to help with the altitude change. With a baby though being able to suck is even better, nursing or a pasifier works wonders. This gal though wasn't giving the child anything to help, she didn't have a pacifier and the child didn't want the bottle she was trying to give it because it never had been on a bottle it was a breast feed child. The crying gave way to total screaming as the flight went on. I was air sick now too on top of being morning sick. I finaly couldn't stand anymore and at one of those moments when everyone in the room goes oddly quite I loudly blirted out, "Give the kid a TIT already for crying out loud!" redface We didn't hear a thing the rest the flight.

Omigod, that is just too funny. And illustrated the argument in the thread that most people would rather deal with BFing then a screaming baby.

Mara-ani Sorry to backtrack- but I just had another look in that cactuar tamers thread. Not surprisingly she ignored my other post........ so I put the boot in again. Criticize the GPG will you! BOOT! take that!! Pardon my not being in touch yet, I am new. But who is bad mouthing the GPG??? Do you have a link to this thread. PG13 means Parental Guidance for 13 and over, it's at parental discretion. For me to know what my kids are into that is labled PG13 that means I need to be a part of it and that is why I am here. My kids asked me to join because they wanted my guidance, they trust and respect what I have to say. I have had a few kids on GAIA make comments about my being old as if they were insinuating that I shouldn't be here. I ignored them but if there continues to be a problem with my being here I will take steps to keep my kids from being in here as well.

I think coffins and nails were mentioned too..... Well, you do know that between the ages of 11 and 21, you know everything there is to know, and no-one else can be right, especially if they are older than you... xp I'd suggest that you just continue ignoring them, as no matter who you are, some people won't want you in some places. (by the way notice that I said 11 to 21..... I'm 22 eek xp )

Its a new money saver policy... instead of giving everyone a full brain of which they only use 10% of... head office has decided to give everyone only 10% of the usual brain mass.....in theory raising the brain usage to 100% and having more brain to go around... but the theory failed, and the human body has naturally reverted to using only 10% of the 10%... leaving the majority of Gaia's population approximately the equivalent of 1% of a GPG-Member-Brain. 3nodding
... any Questions?
*sees a hand raise*...
Ahh, yes.. *looks at clip board*... CB-103866, what is your question?
" BUMP! lol!11!! "
Hrm... No, im afraid not.
*Sees another hand*.... ED-54430 ?
"Wrong forum!"
....
*turns to the camera*... As you can see, in both cases, the human body has reverted to using only 10% of the available brain.
Next Episode on SCIENCE OF GAIA!.. .

Suddenly, and to this day 5 years later, my mom still knows everything!! eek lol
