It didn't take him very long at all to propel himself through the house with his demonic speed; most of the time that was what he did anyway but when he stepped out of the front door and watched her take flight, he growled.
"Such a foolish girl..." She was foolish for running and for making him run after her though it was his own choice to go after her in the first place and he didn't know why exactly he was doing it. Perhaps it was because he didn't want to see her get hurt but then again, what did he care? Why did everything have to be so confusing with her when with everyone else it was so clear cut?
He pushed himself after her on foot using his speed to keep up until he was close enough to finally take to the sky. Without much thought, his tattered wings pushed him up and into the air.
"Stop this foolishness now before you injure yourself." He called to her

Kagome nearly fell out of the sky in surprise when she heard his voice practically in her ear. Blood pounded in her ears as she continued her flight.
It was no good. She knew that he could easily capture her right now... The strain of furiously pumping her wings were beginning to take its toll. Hoping to lose him, the girl folded her wings and dived.
Ba-bump
It felt like something flashed through her. The edges of darkness crept closer and claimed her consciousness. Her controlled dive was no longer controlled but a free fall.

His thoughts fell away as he noticed her falter in her flying. He hovered for a moment, watching her. What was she doi-
The moment she began to dive towards the ground, Sesshomaru's eyes widened and for a moment he was struck confused as to what she was doing and why she was trying some weird tactic a bird would use but all to quickly realized something was wrong.
No...no...
He repeated the word over and over in his mind as he lunged forward, flapping his wings as quickly as they could carry him after her. He reached out to take hold of her and to pull her to him.

The wind buffeted her body as she continued to fall. She was vaguely aware of being suddenly pulled and colliding with a hard surface. Ara? Did she hit the ground that quickly?
The lacquered surface was chilly against her burning cheeks. She shifted slightly and nearly poked out her eye on one of the protruding pieces. "Ow," she mumbled.
Shivering, Kagome opened her eyes. The world spun around in circles. She could only make out silvery hair and vivid golden eyes.
... Inuyasha?

"If you wish to die, I could retract my earlier promise and kill you now if you want it!" Sesshomaru growled, cradling her against him. He flapped his tattered wings and descended down towards the ground, holding onto her. "How dare you endanger yourself so foolishly Kagome..."
The moment he felt his feet touch the ground, he folded his wings once more against his back and stared down at her. He was angry with her, that much was obvious, but he was slightly glad she was alright. Taking a tense breath, he tried to compose himself and regain his calm and emotionless self. "Are you injured?"

At the sound of his husky voice, Kagome's heart fluttered.
"Mmhmm," she mumbled, burying her face into his fur stole. She felt cold but she could feel the flush in her cheeks.
She managed to answer, "Feel...dizzy..." Her body was burning up in a fever, probably a side effect of being pregnant with half-youkais.

Sesshomaru stared down at her, clinging to him and he glanced around unsure of what to do.
"I'm taking you back," He said to her in a quiet voice, his anger simply draining away at the sight of her. "Is that alright?"
Turning back to the house, he made his way back to the house and to her owner's room. Though, there was something bugging him but asking a half delrious girl probably wasn't the wisest thing to do but he had to know.
"Why did you run away earlier?" He asked as he continued to walk, approaching the door to the house.

"Mmkay," Kagome drowsily consented, closing her eyes.
Kagome wrapped her arms around him and snuggled deeper into the fur. Unfortunately for Sesshomaru, she was already fast asleep.
But if she wasn't careful, the pregnancy could be dangerous for her...

Sesshomaru growled slightly as she snuggled against him and didn't answer his question. He glanced down at her and noticed she was asleep.
"I'm not your pillow girl..." He said to her sleeping form though he knew she wouldn't snap back at him as she usually did.
He stepped into her human's room and approached the bed. Slowly, he laid her down on the bed and sat down beside her. He stared down at her for a few moments before reaching towards her to brush the hair out of face. He drew back the moment he realized what he was doing though and looked down at his hand and then back at the girl.
"What have I gotten myself into?" He muttered as he sat back and stared up at the ceiling

Several weeks into the pregnancy, Sesshomaru informed her of hearing quadruple heartbeats in her body. Kagome promptly dropped her cup and stuttered, "Triplets?!"

Months passed and Kagome's stomach continued to swell to accommodate the growing fetuses. At almost six months, it was a significant bump.
Whenever the question from that day came up, she took some evasive measure to postpone the answer. Today was no different.
"Do you remem--"
"Ah!" She cried out. With wide eyes, she placed in her hand on her swollen belly. "They moved!"

With the passing months, Sesshomaru frequently spent his time with Kagome. Strangely, he was starting to get used to her presence and was somewhat relaxed, not completely, but it was an improvement. At least he could converse with her and not worry about her sticking flowers in his hair like Rin did to him. But of course, she always avoided his question. Though, having her avoid the matter made him all the more determined to get it out of her any way he could and plus, he had to get her back for tickling him.
"Do you remem--" He would begin and of course she cut him off. He returned to eating the pocky he had stolen from her during one of their visits and acted like he was pouting. When she said their three little bundles that would soon be causing chaos were moving, he stood and approached her and began to rub his hand carefully against her round stomach, brushing against her hand "You do not know how much I have been hoping that we have three little boys...." He said to her as he waited to feel movement.

((I really love it~ But I can't seem to find the original artist... An expecting mother... And a pouty Sessho makes me think of this)) Kagome giggled at his expression as he nibbled on the pocky. Her stomach had an odd fluttery feeling that come whenever he was close or she heard his voice. She convinced herself that it was only the effect of the pregnancy hormones although there was a seed of doubt in the back of her mind. "Three boys? Absolutely no girls?" she said questioningly, "I've heard that girls are easier to raise..." She could see him as a doting father, well... A subtle one at least. And Rin would have more children to play with.

"I think I feel something..." He muttered to himself as he heard her giggling and he glanced up at her to see what she found so funny when he felt the kick again. Staring at her stomach for a moment longer, he pulled his hand away.
"Yes, absolutely no girls. I don't see how girls are easier to raise. Women have too many..." He paused, trying to figure out the right word. " 'feelings'... you're too confusing. Boys would be better. "
Sesshomaru moved away from Kagome and studied her for a moment before popping another pocky stick in his mouth.
"If you decide not to annoy me today, I may have something for you miko..."
He was refusing to admit that six month ago he had used her name.

Kagome responded in disbelief. She just couldn't wrap her mind around three little sesshomarus running around... She arched her brow at him, "If I don't annoy you, Mr. I-like-to-take-other-people's-pocky-without-asking?" But she couldn't help but fidget around in anticipation, "so what is it?"

"No, but I think I would enjoy watching how you dealt with three sons." The usual smug look entered his eyes again as turned from her. "You'd enjoy that, I'm sure."
Sesshomaru swiftly crossed the room to where he had set the package. He picked it up and turned to her just as she made her last comment and he rolled his eyes.
"And you blew it in record time as I knew you would." He growled at her accusation. "And it happened to be your fault that I took your pocky." He snapped. "You should hide it better."
He glanced down at the package for a moment, wondering why he even bothered with this but he knew that she would have a much better use of it then he would. He held it out for her, just out of her reach. "You want to know what it is? Perhaps if you give me a good reason why I should give it to you now, I may think about it."
