Shadow__Dweller Every player has their own way of playing, so everyone has different strengths and weaknesses...for instance, in the Tekken games some people think Jin is brilliant, but I can't make him so squat xp So I don't think you can compile a list like that accurately. Which is exactly what I said. ninja Alamoria There's no way to test the tier list, as people will never have identical skill levels, different people having different play styles, and finally outside factors. surprised I deem this debate null and void; However, I do agree that some characters have an advantage to some characters, while having flaws to others. This points that there is a tier list, but the accuracy will always be in question and more so a generalization than anything specific. arrow neutral

Sliph The list was made by what the characters are capable of doing at the frame by frame level. Thats why Fox is first, he's got the fastest short hop, so he's capable of attacking faster than anyone else, plus he has Shine which is the fastest attack in the game, it can cancel any other attack, and it stuns for a long time leaving the opponent open to Fox's endless combos. And top it off with the second strongest up smash in the game. Jin is a beast too. I suppose if you're going frame by frame, it'd be easy enough to see who's better than who...but how often do you play frame by frame? I mean...if you displayed a frame each second...it'd take just under half a minute to display a second worth of frames...I'm fairly sure nobody's capable of recognizing and reacting to something within 1/30th of a second...specially since the average reaction time to "if you see a light on the screen...push a button(simplest of simple reaction tests)" test's are about a 1/6th of a second to a 1/3rd of the second...And that's not even...if this happens do this, but if this happens do this(continued for each and ever variable that could happen in Smash).

Thats all and well, but we're not talking about people, we're talking about characters and what they're capable of doing.

Sliph Thats all and well, but we're not talking about people, we're talking about characters and what they're capable of doing. Then it should have a disclaimer saying "This is a frame by frame what the characters are capable of", saying such would eliminate this entire debate. sweatdrop More so, you didn't present it as what they're capable of doing, you presented it as two people of equal skill level, which isn't possible in the first place. sweatdrop

It is possible with AR.

Sliph Neitsabes Alamoria And now that I've seen it. I can say that it's absolute crap. What? D: That there is a list? Or the accuracy of it? The accuracy of it. Would you care to change it ?How about placing some characters on the same level instead of having such a strict rank? And if you're just talking about speed, the game's not just about that. They don't count the fact that Ganondorf's general attacks do almost twice the percentage of normal characters, or some of their special skills. I would base character rank more on their B + A attacks, not just how fast they can attack. Almost every character has pros and cons, though some of the more useless ones are Kirby and Bowser, there is no definite rank from 1 to 25.

They have it based on speed, due to the fact you can interrupt attacks using an attack, or in some cases overpower an attack that's going. Sure Ganon does almost twice the damage...but if he can't pull the attack off....

Its not purely based on speed but, how well that character can deal with the other. Yeah speed is a big factor but range and priority also have a say.

Then all the swordsmen should be higher up, because of their range. And the one character that can deal with anything is Link & Samus who have the most gadgets and probably some of the best specials.

Priority refering to the ability to overide a current attack. ninja ...such as Dr. Mario's cape. Overides...well...pretty much everything if timed right.
