Closing his eyes, a soft breath fell from his lips and one arm was draped over his eyes. Now that the adrenaline was wearing off, he could feel the muscles punishing him for the extended exertion.

Mer flicked his tail briefly, then rolled over onto his back as well.

Machus stretched slowly, feeling rather than hearing his back crack. Moving his arm, he gazed skyward. "It's impossible to replicate that blue..." he mused aloud.

Mer blinked, his blue eyes flicking over to look at his friend. "Hmm?" he asked.

Machus waved one hand upwards in a lazy gesture. "The sky, that blue. It's impossible to replicate."

He laughed. "Nah, I haven't. I mean, it probably is possible... but that colour is so... pure? It's like... just not right to make an artificial copy."

He nodded, studyig the sky. "I agree," he said, flopping back over to study Machus again.

He smiled faintly, tilting his head to glance at Mer. "It's like... I don't know... drawing on the Mona Lisa or Sistene Chapel with magic marker."

"Hmm." He looked thoughtful, gazing back up at the sky. "That would be a shame." He flicked his tail, then looked back at Machus. "I prefer the night sky, however."

Nodding softly, he curled his tail around himself and brushed his fingers lightly through the fur, humming softly to himself. "Aaa, really? Any particular reason?"
