The thorn peering beneath the rose, begging for blood. The hunter returned a razor smile, leaning back instead. "No. It's far more unexpected to just sit here. You always go for the obvious in your drama, crippled fly."
The kitten was awakening somewhat, but Laniger doubted the oracle would care if he split the youth's skull open. He was more certain she would relish it. "Want to finish him?" he offered. "Imagine the misunderstandings then."
His nostrils filled with the scent of her rage, thickening the air with each word he spoke. He smiled almost serenely as he chose not to meet her gaze, bait the prey further still.
"When I kill you...." he murmured softly, as though imparting his dearest heart, "....it will be an arrow through one of your beautiful crystal eyes....a shot you never see coming, with all your riddles. Poor crippled fly. Sacrificing your wings and your life for a history that will forget you the instant your breath stops."
(( xd And then, they passionately neck, and Feles loses his Tender Vittles. The end. ))

Equus bit down, frowning, and glaring at the moon court fey. However, he had his code, his orders, and he quickly and quietly obeyed them, stepping back from the wolf fey, and quickly and easily sheathing his sword. Once more he cursed not being able to mind speak as some of the fey could, it was making this position of his all the more torturous, watching this standstill play out, knowing it would most likely result in the loss of not just one more, but two more sun court fey. His fists were clenched tightly, as he kept watching the moon court fey, and his queen. He was supposed to get Laniger help, and now, he was stuck in this stalemate...

Filix did as she was asked without hesitation. She didn't think there were any Moon Court fey around, but it seemed like the Queen knew...? Or at least, was bluffing.
Either way, if it returned Muris Filix was more than happy to do as her Queen asked.

A grin slid across her lips as she stepped forward, stopping just out of arms reach. So this is how you want to play the game. Her eyes fell from Laniger to the boy, she couldn't help but to grin even more.
"After being in your company perhaps he wouldn't mind." she laughed and looked back at him. It would be a nuisance to make him crack, but she would it, for now she had all the time in the world.
She let out another laugh, her cold eyes watching his every move. "I wait for the day Lainger..." she stopped and smirked. "Though it would be hard to hit me... If something happened to your other eye, wouldn it?" she grinned, it was amusing, but as each second passed by the urge to attack him seemed unbearable.
((BTW.... I may not be able to post to as often during the weekend. But I'll try! whee xd ))

So they had done what this woman ordered...she must be far up in the Court and would be able to bring Feles to them. She lowered the child slowly; 'Understand this. I will let this little one go,' her fingers were still wrapped around the otter Fey's throat. 'But know this. If you think that after I release her that you will attack me or my companion then you would be fools indeed. If I do not return, Muris will die. Simple as that.' her voice was steady, giving nothing away.

Betrayal is not in my plans.*Thats more something they might do. All she cares about is the well being of the child and of Muris* Please let the child go and we will discuss the return of our respective friends. *she held out a hand to Lutra*

Lutra's vision was going funny; she was focusing on trying to breathe, and she only caught half of what was being said around her. Her head felt funny, too, and she wished the strange lady would just put her down. None of the Sun Fey she'd met would hurt anyone, she thought- and Lutra obviously couldn't have, so why were they doing this? And the woman smiled a lot when nothing was funny. She didn't like that at all. She wished she were bigger.
Lupinus lowered his weapon and nodded at Aranea. "Let her go, then." They wouldn't get anywhere if they didn't, and he would prefer to have this resolved and Feles returned, even if it did mean giving up their prisoner.

She nodded slowly, her fingers relaxing the grip around the childs throat and she pushed the girl away from her. 'I have done my part. You must bring Feles here.' she said, staring at Lilium.

Equus frowned. Lilium didn't know where that evil fey was. No one knew. Well, no one here except him, apparently. The male's eyes narrowed, looking at Aranea, and the choke hold she had on the new fey. His hand remained on his sword, fighting back the wave of anger at their cowardly actions that would make this a blood bath.
No more could he just sit back, "Feles is not in the Castellum Argentus..." he spoke loudly, and with more certainty in his voice, than he personally felt in his actions... "Let them go. They know nothing of were your comrade is held..."
It was about all the fey could do to stand there, drawing attention. Part of his mind was self concious, uncertain. He stood rooted to the ground though, his mind and soul drifting off, remembering the code and his duty. His father never would have allowed this to happen. And, this was all he could do for now.

Lutra stumbled as she was pushed away, her hands reaching up to touch her probably very bruised neck. She scurried away, retreating far behind Lilum and Filix and stayed within earshot and within sight. When she was bigger... maybe then she wouldn't cause trouble like this again. Still, she wanted to see what happened, and so she would watch unless she was told to leave.
Lupinus glared at the boy. "We have stood down as well, and released the brat." He narrowed his eyes at the last sentence. If they didn't know, Equus seemed to, or was pretending to. "You will show us Feles before we will bring the mouse to you."

*She simply held a hand towards Equus and spoke to Arenea* Ordering us to show you your brethren is not negotiating. If we do this we meet somewhere neutral. You bring Muris and we bring Feles. No tricks. No traps.
*She still was weary of negotiating with them but saw no other choice. She will find out where Feles is and honor the agreement if it is made*

"From what I have seen of both courts, you would have my thanks." he husked, careful to maintain the maddening enigmatic smile. "They are not worth the first eye I lost, crippled fly."

((Sorry, my bad... but sitting there, saying you will kill someone, and threatening isn't really 'standing down' in my mind... sweatdrop ))
Equus remained quiet, seeing the queen's hand snap up, and glad that he didn't have to really continue on for the moment, as he looked over at Lutra first, seeing that she seemed annoyed, a little hurt, but mostly okay, and breathing a sigh of relief. That just left, well, everything that he still had to deal with...
"May I suggest, we conclude this quickly? You go back, get Muris, we get your Feles. Meet back up in Tir Nan Og, halfway between the castles. That should be neutral enough... Two people from the moon court, two from the sun court..." Equus spoke, knowing the flaws, and the danger in such a thing. He didn't trust the moon court feys to carry through with the plan. But he needed to say something, break this up, so that he could get Laniger, the support he needed, against another moon court fey... and then... well... they needed to make sense of this. Why another moon court fey, would attack here, when another is already attacking Laniger, and on the way to rescue Feles. Or so he supposed... It made him wish he had brought along Filix, or someone wiser than him...
