Lu gave a short laugh. "I'm sorry if I startled you. I'm just so used to having visitors... Or, at least, having my door open." She gave a smiled and sat back down on the sofa. Gyre leapt up from her position on the chair and sat next to her Guardian, despite Lu's offering of a seat on her lap. Gyre smiled and waved to both Zita and Cyrus. She was glad her Guardian was at least claiming to feel better, though she could tell the curse hurt her every once in a while.
About the headquarters, she said, "No, I don't think I've seen you at the headquarters, but I think I remember seeing your name under the list of Guardians. Zita is awfully cute. Has she given you much trouble?"
Gyre liked how Cyrus had fluffy ears. Was he feline or canine? She couldn't tell. But he seemed nice enough. She stood up on her tiny legs and had to ask. "Mr. Cyrus, are you a cat?"

Cyrus remained standing for the moment, eyeing Gyre curiously - interesting mask on that one. He focused on Lucifer again and blinked. His name was already on the list? These people worked quickly, apparently. "Zita? Just the usual baby things, I guess. She's really pretty fussy if I leave her with anyone else.." A vague frown. That little problem was rather irritating when he had to work.
"What?" He looked down at Gyre, grinning a bit and crouching so he was at her level. "No. I'm part fox. I guess it kinda looks like I got cat in me though, huh?"
Zita frowned. What was this other little girl doing talking to her daddy? He belonged to Zita, and that other little would do well to remember that as far as she was concerned. If she'd had the proper motor skills at the time, Zita would have crossed her arms in a proper huff. As it was, she merely looked as though she were hugging herself and looking rather cute in general.

Fox? Oh yes, those red animals that kind of looked like a cross between dog and cat...in a way. Contemplating this, Gyre sat down again, next to Lu. Taking off the mask and setting it beside her, Gyre resumed her formal position, hands in lap. She smiled to Zitaregardless of whether or not the other Legend would like it. It always payed to be polite.
Lu sat back, waving a hand to the open chair. She stood up then, wanderin gin the direction of the kitchen "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable. Would you two like anything to eat or drink?" Her voice trailed off as she entered the kitchen. The bright red runic symbols on her back pulsed again, causing her to growl. She did her best to stifle it.
Gyre liked how Zita looked. She thought the other Legend was pretty. "Mr. Cyrus, do you like Zita?" She was being very honest. She could remember a time when her own Guardian didn't like her much. She had no real scraps of humanity at the time, either.

Zita made a face at Gyre, sticking her tongue out and scrunching up her face - another attempt at being mean. It probably wouldn't work though. She'd yet to realize that babies were simply not made for looking anything but cute, apparently.
"No thank you, ma'am. We ate before we left," he said. He took the chair as he spoke, frowning just a bit at Lu's growl. "Are you alright, ma'am..?" He leaned forward hesitantly and set Zita in his lap, though he looked quite ready to leap up if it were needed. ...hopefully she didn't bite.
He only flicked an ear in Gyre's direction, still a bit distracted with Lu at the moment. "Hm..? Oh, yeah. I guess I do, anyway."

A startled Lu answered back. "Oh! Yes, I'm fine... Don't worry about me!" Some shuffling and clinking of plates. "I'll just make some fruit salad to munch on..." She hummed a bit as she worked, trying to get her mind away from her curse and back to Cyrus and his...predicament.
Gyre giggled. "Zita is very cute." She turned about, looking to see if her Guardian was watching. Then, she whispered quietly, "Mommy's hurt 'cuz her mean brother attacked her. But he's gone now." She nodded again as Luciel came in, carrying a plate of fruits and a plastic fork.
She smiled and sat down, a fork in one hand. She speared a kiwi before asking. "You're such a gentleman, Cyrus. What brings you by here?" It was nice to have company that wasn't hellbent on killing you.

Shrugging, Cyrus leaned back in the chair and glanced at Gyre again. "I'm sure Zita would thank you for the complement if she could," he said with a smile. His ears perked forward when the girl whispered though, and he took on a more serious look. He own family had actually attacked her? He whispered back to the girl, "I'm glad he's gone then."
He straightened quickly when Lu returned, waving a hand dismissively at her comment. "It's just being polite, ma'am. And..I actually stopped by because I just...really don't get any of this. Is it normal for these Legends to just...well...appear? Zita just showed up in a locked apartment I was staying in one day."

Popping the kiwi slice into her mouth, she chewed thoughtfully. Swallowing and nodding at the same time, she placed the fork back on the plate. Leaning back, she crossed her arms.
"Well, while I don't consider just appearing to be very normal, the same thing happened to me when Gyre first arrived. I mean, she was on my doorstep, but it's the same principal." Wow. In a locked apartment? These kids were getting sneaky...
The Mancubus looked back at Zita, smiling. At least she seemed nice enough, so caring for her shouldn't have been too much of a problem for Cyrus. "I'm not too sure I get any of it too. I mean, how do they choose who to appear to? Do they choose at all? I'm still curious about that part..."
She blinked. "Do you know much about Zita?"

"Well, I guess it is.. But a doorstep and a locked apartment are pretty different. I don't know if it's her that actually got in, or if someone else put her there..." Though, considering the note, it'd probably been the latter. ...unless, of course, Zita had the amazing ability to write in a very fine, cursive hand.
"Aside from her appearing, I don't really know much about her at all. I mean, I mentioned she was fussy. And she doesn't seem to like other children much...but I don't know if that's what you meant."
Zita, meanwhile, had distracted herself with Cyrus's tail. It wasn't often that she got to be so close to the fuzzy limb, and she wasn't about to pass up the chance to examine it thoroughly. So, with a happy giggle, she fisted her chubby little hands in the fur and tugged curiously.
Cyrus somehow managed not to wince.

Lu winced for Cyrus. Not having a tail herself, she did remember a time when Gyre would yank at her horns. That was indeed very uncomfortable. Cyrus was a strong guy. "I do remember having a note delivered by somebody named Raven. I don't know who he is, though. He might have a connection to the Legends. He gave us a crystal. I haven't the slightest idea what happened to it..."
Gyre watched as Zita tugged at Cyrus' tail. She folded her own wings close to her, not wanting anyone to tug at them. Though it seemed Zita wasn't going to be detatching herself from Mr. Cyrus anytime soon.

"A crystal?" Cyrus paused and thought back a bit. He didn't really remember the note being signed, and there certainly hadn't been any crystal.. Maybe someone else had dropped Zita off then. "I just got a note with her name and the address to the headquarters.. It was really weird." Freaked the hell out of Jaclyn too. She probably still thought he'd just dropped Zita off there instead of keeping her...
Still doing his best to ignore the infant tugging and patting at his tail, he glanced toward Gyre again when she folded her wings and grinned reassuringly. Only a bit of a wince there when Zita gave a particularly rough yank - maybe he'd think about distracting her soon... "I wouldn't worry about your wings, little one. She's too shy to bother other people."

"That is really weird..." Lu trailed off. She hadn't thought about the circumstances surrounding Gyre. She more paid attention to the fact that, after a while, some love and lots of bandaids, Gyre regained her humanity and made the household happy. But, she figured that not all Legend guardians were so lucky... "I really wish I could tell you more. Did Zita arrive with some sort of...Oh, I don't know... A charm? Some sort of item? Like Gyre has this mask..."
Maybe, if Zita arrived with some sort of treasure, it would give Cyrus more information about her?
Gyre smiled as Cyrus reassured her. She let her wings unfold again. "Shy?" she asked quietly. She didn't think she'd ever met a shy Legend before...

Cyrus half-listened to Lu while he worked on extracting Zita's hands from his tail - for the moment, at least. She'd probably go back in all of a few seconds.
"A charm? Well..she's got this broken stick..." he mumbled. There was a brief pause while he fidgeted around with her blankets before finding it. It really wasn't all that amazing - just a time-worn, dinged up stick that had been broken in two. He'd have thrown it away if Zita hadn't thrown such a fit over it. In fact, even as he held it up for Lu to have a look at, Zita began to whimper and kick, reaching determinedly for it. "Um..she's really attached to it," he said, handing it back to the girl.
He nodded at Gyre, deciding shy was better than just saying mean. "She doesn't really like most other people. She always gets upset if I leave her with anyone else."

Lu's eyebrows raised a touch higher. She came with a stick? That's certainly interesting. She wouldn't have thought of that, of all things. She gave Zita many points for creativity. But what did the stick mean? "Well, I've been reading a lot, and perhaps the stick is a symbol for something? She's obviously very attached to it..."
The Mancubus racked her brain. What could the stick mean? Walking? Travel? Beatings? And it was broken, which confused her further.
Gyre nodded. "I think she won't leave you because she loves you." She wasn't entirely sure if that were true, but it certainly sounded much better than 'she's using you only for transportation'. But Gyre didn't think babies could be quite that mean.

He tilted his head a bit and gave the stick back to Zita, smiling bemusedly as she clutched it to her chest and glared at him - as best a baby could glare anyway. "Maybe.. She gets really mad if I try to really take it away and stuff. Is Gyre like that with her mask?"
Cyrus chuckled a bit and bounced Zita on his lap to calm her a bit more - she was still grumpy from having her stick taken. "Maybe you're right." Or not. He was quite certain Zita simply considered him another of her things. Though, perhaps that could be a twisted form of love. He wasn't sure.

This time, it was Lu who winced. "Ooooohhh yes. Gyre was very much like that with her mask when she first arrived. I still have the scars on my shoulder to prove it..." She grabbed it out of habit more than anything else. "I do believe, though, that I've begun to unravel Gyre's legend. Or, more specifically, she's been unravelling it, and recanting it all to me..."
Gyre beamed. She was indeed proud. She had learned so much since she first arrived. The falcon mask lay next to her. "It's magical." she said.
