(( sweatdrop Okay, I guess you can pretend your wolves were there or ask Intyran/Phoenix about the main points when your wolves get back.))
The alpha male waited silently, keeping himself straightened as far as he dared to be, and met the gazes of every pack member as they entered. He would not be seen as weak in this state of his, no matter how much bodily pain he was in; and every ounce of his toned but battered body spoke of this determination. There was a reason he was alpha, a reason he had made it this far, and now he'd have to pull himself through once more. "I'd like to start off by saying that I'm very proud of this pack and how we've banded together, piecing each other together even if we first started out as loners or runaways. We're more then that now, we're family. I've seen alot of you grow up over this past time and it pleases me to see our varring abilities", he started off, raising his muzzle with a wide grin to show his appreciation, though slowly it was wiped away with an intense furrowing of his brow and the slight raising of his lips. Suddenly he barked out, "But as if we haven't made it through enough already we are to be threatened in our own territory!" he let that sink for moment, his dark eyes flashing intensely. He did not allow anger to come to him, but he did want to make his point very clearly. His lips lowered and his brow went lax, but those dark eyes were still very intense as he looked them all in the eye, finally resting on his Phoenix; allowing his body to relax. "Today a threat has made itself known, a loner. I know some of us have been loners before, as have I, but when members of my family and myself are attacked in our territory I cannot look lightly upon it! As of today I want no one to hunt without a partner, we absolutely will not be caught off guard. Am I understood?" his voice was soft but held a firm authority. "If confronted, I want none of you to fight unless it's necissary, call for others, or simply run if you can. At the moment he's badly injured, and he is easy to identify with his foriegn scent and appearance. I want no harm to come to my family, and I will protect it any way I can; even if my body will not permit me to do much at the moment", his wolfish grin appeared once more as he gave a nod of his head; dismissing everyone who wanted to leave, and signaling this would be the time for questions if there were any.

((yes...indeed))
Her eyes never left her mate though upon hearing of the attack, she kept her face expressionless. She didn't say anything. She didn't have too. She curled up beside him, determined to make sure he rested so he could heal.

It's been several long and tantalizing weeks for the alpha male, and his stubborness to keep on moving around while he should have been healing wasn't helping much. But he would not have his pack carrying his weight like a burden. They were his family, all of them, and it pained him to think that he wasn't strong enough to take of them. Day in and day out the orange'ish wolf would bare his teeth at the mocking pain in his back and side, would pin ears in a scoffing gesture at the anguish and regret; and one morbid thought kept a dark rise in those eyes of his. If he was hurting these badly, he knew the loner who had attacked him and a pack mate must have been hurting too, which made his ordeal bitter/sweet. Intyran was gaining every fiber of strength back by the ounce, unwilling to let himself rest and heal up quickly, he took a little longer to fully get over it. Now though, now with the chilling winds bitting at his thick winter coat, the alpha stood tall and proud amongst his family's territory. Those dark eyes of his holding a malice that stung at the very corners, and glared into the retreating sun before him. That loner was still out there, a threat to his pack and to their way of life, and he'd be damned if he let anything happen without being prepared for it. Not only that, but the alpha had young pups of his own now. It was then his mind slipped to a gentler thought; the ridges on his snout and the ripples on his strong shoulders going lax as he thought about it. Phoenix. The pups. He loved them so much, and his chest swelled with pride as he thought about how Phoenix had stayed with him through this., if not physically then always mentally and spiritually. Despite the fact he was restless and moved around when he shouldn't have. With a heavy sigh as the breath left his lungs, a slight bite still in every weighty breath, the wolf turned to head back to the pack grounds. But not before turning his head to the fading sky, and releasing a hearty song that floated through the air like the winter breeze that brought the coming of winter every year. He prayed for a good winter then, and prayed for the survival of his pack members. A harsh winter was never a good winter. Lingering a bit more Intyran began his journey to the alphaesse's side for the night.
