Amani returned to the lake but kept near the trees, not wanting to bring any attention to her. she dragged the carcass of a gazzel out in the open then returned to the shadows to rest. Her leg was hurting, for the wound had ben not properly been cleaned. It had stopped hurting a little while ago, but after the hunt and chase it had begun to pain her again.
She placed her head on her paws and closed her eyes, falling into a light sleep. She would be ready if Nyek or one of his lackies decided to attack her.

Harabu made his way back across the desert to the oasis. Thoughts still running through his head, he wanted to talk to Amani and then maybe to Nyek. He thought about it alot as he walked to the lake where he knew Amani would be. She was indeed there.
He trotted over to her and paws at her back carefully so not to startle her, that wouldn't be clever not for any lion. He watched her carefully wondering why she was sleeping in a place so open.

When he touched her, Amani jerked away, her good paw upraised, claws extended. Her eyes flashed in surprise and, quite possibly, fear and her ears were flat against her skull. But when she saw who it was who had stirred her, she immediately sheathed her claws and looked up at him sadly.
"I'm sorry... I thought you were someone else," she apologized quietly, and lowered her gaze for a moment before looking back up at him.
"Where have you been?"

Harabu snarled as she raised his paw to him but clamed as she lowered it. "I had to get some things sorted. What is that?" He was looking at her back at a fresh wound. His eyes blazed with anger that anyone had touched her. She was his and no one elses.

Amani flinched at the look on his face when he pointed out the triple marks on her leg.
"Nyek marked the pride while you were gone," was all she said to explain as she went to lick the wound. But she drew back, remembering how Nyek had licked her blood away from the wound. She shuddered, not wanting to lick what he had touched, even if it was on her own body.

The snarl in Harabu grew till his eyes were flashing red. He was a murderer by right though no one knew that. He had the ability to kill again but no, what would be the good of killing Nyek? Where is the fun in that. "Come with me."
Harabu, who was nearly full grown had grown into a large lion, strong with a lucious redish brown mane. He headed straight for where he could hear noise, straight to the other marked lions. With a deep strong roar he announced his coming. He only recognized two of the slaves, the little pink girl and the adolescent who he had seen be cub napped.
He turned to check Amani was following. They wouldn't be sticking around for too long. "Where is that Nyek. I want a word with him." He spoke to everyone there. He had no problem who was there he just wanted to see that so called Lord.

Amani followed Harabu, keeping close to him, though it was true that he frightened her. She had never seen him so angry. Even when he had marked her, he hadn't been this angry. It couldn't be Nyek's mark that made him so mad, could it? Why should he care? She was just his slave, a toy for his amusement... right?
She didn't show she was afraid, though. The way he addressed the others, with such commanding power, actually made her a little proud to stand beside him. He'd gotten stronger since he disappeared.

((amanis wound is on her back haunch not her shoulder ^-^! shoulder marks are for generals
edit :: also nyek doesn't sleep with the slaves waddya think he is? XD!
he has his own private quarters away from the rest of the pride. considering harabu is supposed to be one of his generals I would assume he would know where he was without riling up the slaves about it.))

((well unless Nyek can run seriously quickly he would be near by as it hasn't been that long after the slaves have been marked.. so it would be upto Harabu how he acted and if he wanted to get all the slaves uptight and whatever he would.
Its in his character to get everyone involved... I aint changing his character, he is my favourite SoA. After all, who else would know where Nyek is being that he was just with the slaves? They would know the direction in which he was heading because he might not go back to his sleeping quaters, and even so, he wants everyone to be there where he talks to Nyek.))

Rukiya couldn't help but look up at the commotion, brows furrowing. So it was that moron whom she had met as a cub when she had first glimpsed Nyek was the one stirring things up. What an idiot.
"You didn't say please." She grumbled, just barely loud enough to be heard, clearly not in the mood for helping anyone but herself at the moment. Especially if the one she was helping was someone who had helped bring her here.
She watched for several moments, eyeing the pair from the distance she was at. Her tail twitched, her cheek still stinging with pain from the previous events. Ruki thought about sending them back the way they came with the excuse that Nyekundu had actually wandered off in that direction, however her better self decided against it. They would surely come back if she sent the two the wrong way, in which case she would have to set her sights upon Harabu. the ugly one, again. She preferred to get him away as soon as possible.
"The idiot went that way," She finally piped up, hodding her head in the direction of the ruins behind her. "The b*****d hasn't been gone too long. If you hurry you may manage to catch him before he shuts himself away for a few hours again." With herself satisfied at the the answer, not to mention being able to call him a few names in the process (despite Moses watching), the pink female stood. She wandered, off, ending her conversation with Malika and anyone else who decided they wanted to talk.

"Thank You." Harabu turned to Amani, "Come on." He then turned to the small cub that seemed to be watching everyone. "Stupid creature..." He snarled as he headed off in the direction that was pointed out to him.

Amani did as she was told, following him towards where Nyek had gone. She wondered what he would do once they got there. She opened her mouth to say something, but quickly closed it. If he was angry, she didn't want to ask stupid questions.

Nyek had acctually gone quite far in to the ruins though correctly he hadn't gone to his sleeping quarters. His ears flickered when he heard a creature following him but he did not stop. if they wished to follow let them do so, this wasn't wheer he slept just his thinking quarters.
Padding in to the old temple the salmon tinted males tail was the last thing to be seen as he padded in to the darkness. The temple was old yet reaked unmistakably of blood. Perhaps Nyek himself had killed things here though that fact was likely the place smelt of death old death.
Padding in to the center where an opening highlighted an old stone table long stained by blood. leaping on to this thing of torture he lay with a smirk on his face and his eyes closed. he was very proud of himself today but now it was time to do some thinking.

"NYEK!" His shout echoed through the old walls. Harabu wasn't happy. His red eyes blazing and a snarl in his throat. He turned to Amani for the last time, "If you follow me, you run when I saw and fast, it will be for your life. Literally. Or you can stay here. Its upto you." He then turned and went to the table where Nyek was apparently thinking or sleeping or whatever that thing did.

"I'll be right behind you," Amani whispered with a nod. She didn't think she could speak any louder. This place made her sick. The foul smell, the red stains of old blood... She didn't want to stay here, much less the oasis, any longer than she had to.
