Yashamaru squints as he sees a group approaching the temple and decides to confront them. "Who goes there?" He puts his hand on the hilt of his sword, ready to defend himself in case of an attack.

Why should they have believed that the man was their enemy? Perhaps he had just lost his way, and was trying to find his way back to town. Since he didn't seem as if he could put up a fight, Hantei did not assume a fighting stance. However, anything could happen, as shown with the Goikengu demon, so he kept his katana out. Wait... he was standing in front of the temple, meaning that he probably had something to do with the summoning, right?

He only watched as the naga decided to approach the temple entrance, but his attention was quickly diverted to the stranger under Saliv's directions. He glanced over the stranger. He didn't appear to be with the villagers, so just who was he? What was he doing here? Considering their current situation, perhaps it would be best to approach cautiously. He calledo ut to the newcommer.
"Who are you?"

Yashamaru's nose twitched and he spat on the ground, "The name's Yashamaru". He examines the group closely, seeing that they're well-trained warriors, "Do you seek the Goikengu demon? That monstrosity has taken innocent blood, I shall avenge them". Yashamaru closes his eyes thinking back to his uncle telling him how no one knew who attacked Yashamaru's village while he was an infant. "I will avenge others until I find the murderer of my village!"

Saliv watches with intrest. Humans were always fun to watch. But he does keep his distance. Not many people how have heard of Naga's talk before striking.

"You speak as though were hunting a mere animal, Saliv..." He was more than a little surpised by the naga's reaction. How could he possibly be so cavaler in the face of a demon? The scent of the sweet smoke filled his nostrils as he inhaled and then he spoke.
"If that is the case, Yashamaru, then we all have the same goal, I am Aodokemaru." He greets the swrodsman with a polite nod before he wanders near Slaiv to examine the temple's entrance.

Yashamaru scratches the back of his head,"Ehhhh? What's that? You think you can take it on by yourself? Bah..I'll tag along with you. Who knows, maybe you'll be the ones that need MY help."

Hiei_no_miko (i hope I'm doing this right) Wondering if the spirits here can tell her anything Miharu tried to contact them. Miharu sits on the ground near the altar while the others talk to the stranger. She enters a trance, communing with the spirits. The spirits wail to you about the death of a child, and you sense a great evil lingering in the area.

Desc listens to the naga's comments and shakes his head, remembering his time in the shadowlands. He glances at the newcomer. "Hmpf. Another do-gooder to 'elp aid us in destroyin' the demon," He sarcastically states.

'A Nezumi', Yashamaru thinks to himself. 'Hmm..maybe it's better that he doesn't know i'm fluent in Nezumi. It might come in handy later'. "Alright, let us enter the temple."

Saliv bends down to the Nezumi and whispers into his ear.
" I don't like him, he's rude. And he smells funny."
