i'm in two sections and it ain't easy...i'm the only girl in both except last year our junior drum major was a trombone too but she really didn't play much...and i'm the tenor sax section and i really think that my director thinks that i should be second chair and no third but there r 4 of us....its hard being an only girl...u can't gossip on what she wore or what he said or things like that unless there is a gay guy in your section and then it all works out but there aren't any in both....that sucks.....

I'm pretty much the only girl Tenor Sax player, since the only other one is my one firend who plays Bassoon for Concert & is usually sick or injured at our marching competitions. It's okay though, b'cuz the Tenors are kinda forgotten instrument in our band, and the two other Tenor guys who show up all the time are funny, so I can joke around with them

i was the only girl in our entire sax section for awhile. it was kind of fun. then brandi the fat whore came. now i'm one of two girls in the section. XD
but for marching there are two girls that join the section. it's okay though, because they're actually my friends. unlike a fat whore named brandi. ^^

Yeah, being a girl in an all boys trombone section can be hard, especially when the 1st trombone is yelling at everyone to put some balls into thier playing. -blushes- Let's just say, he ended up switching it to 'ovaries' just for me. redface

Fay3840 Are you in an all boys section? Like my friend and I are the only girls in the trombone section in the honors, synphonic, and all the other bands younger than us! How do you feel about being a girl in a mainly boys only section? And what do you do? My friend and I do all sorts of stuff together so we don't have to deal with with the boys in our trombone section but it's cool they are nice but really weird sometimes!!! Here you can let out your frustration on the boys or tell what they do when are just... well being boys!!! And have fun with it! This is all for US GIRLS! Trombones ROCK! blaugh heart Oh just one thing... don't be too mean ya guys can be annoying sometimes but over all they are okay. Even when you do not want to admitt it. I know I don't sometimes! I heart trombone i'm in hs and only 3 out of the 11 trombones are girls. In 7th grade only 3/16 trombones were girlsand in 8th grade i was the only girl playing a brass instrument.

For like 2 years now, nearly all of our trombones have been girls. But this year, I'll be the only freshman girl trombone in marching band. I have a feeling that with all of the guys, it's going to be a really educational experience...

In middle school, for the past two years, I've been one of two girls in the trumpet section. We have two middle schools and now have two high schools and a freshman center for the original high school (which I'm going to). So for next year, depending on if this one girl plays next year or not, I'll be the only girl trumpet (and maybe the only girl) in jazz band, maube the only girl trumpet in Spring Symphonic Band, but I won'te the only one in marching band!! (The Freshmans still play with the high school for marching band.)

I've already complained about this elsewhere, but I'm the only girl in the whole brass section. All the other girls went for clarinets, flutes, and saxes... one even switched from trumbone to flute. I miss her. -_-
