Kenshin turned, a breeze catching his alabaster hair. Looking back probed, "What is the matter then?"
His katana began to disappear through a vortex. Staring at Namuni, Kenshin's eye's seemed to be drained of life, dulled by eternity and history.
"We're almost to the manor", Kenshin said allowed.

Kenshin felt warm blood rushing through his face. Could he perhaps be blushing?! Kenshin turned quickly and dropped his own gaze, hoping she'd not seen him in such a weak position. In his hands, he still clutched tight the old sword that had revived the beautiful creature. Finally the long journey up the steps ended. They made their way almost side-by-side down the Courtyard Entrance, and emerged in the arcade of bushes. The garden maze- their last journey before they'd be safely inside the threshold of the manor. The rooftops of the mansion's towers and upper floors loomed in monstrosity above them, a magnificent view. Kenshin beathed a sigh of relief to see be back in his own "Eden" again.

"Ever felt like losing yourself in a beautiful place?," Kenshin asked.
"Like many estate labryniths, this one has it's own special secrets. there's a hidden Koi pond, rose garden, bench area and underground passage, all of which are cloaked by special powers and can only be accessed and seen by foot. Not even flying over the maze will reveal my secret utopias. I'll give you a hint though," he said, a grin accenting his face. "The way to three of the areas and the entrance and exit can be seen only in one room: the South Library at the front of the manor. And though it's up front, it's not easy to find the library..."
Kenshin seemed to be lost in telling her the estate's anatomy. They walked down an aisle, and turned into one of the left paths. The hedges slowly began to grow, the manor rooftops now becoming almost completely hidden. Two more right turns, and a curve left, it seemed the closer you got to the middle, the higher the hedges were. Kenshin had come to a slower trot, and glanced at Namuni to be sure she was comfortable. Eerie scents of rose complemented the dusk air.

"Ee, sono hoo-ga ii-de gozaru." (It's alright, that it is.)
Kenshin said, only a little suprised, but calm. He was half expecting and rather hoping she'd bump into him.

"Are you alright, Namuni-dono?" Kenshin asked, not realizing his extreme obsession for politeness. The tall lord twitched his finger, stopping himself clear before he could run his hands through the woman's hair to see her face. His inner demons faught a fierce battle to withdraw; slowly but surely she'd catch him off guard. Kenshin was apparently finding his actions and ability to hide behind that cold stare harder to control. He now realized himself gazing at her.
"Is this her way of taming me?" he thought silently to himself ",..because it's working..."

"Exquisite and harmonious it may be, but I still lost a lot and it took me a long time to create it into exactly what I desired. It wasn't always like this...," Kenshin explains, his voice softening and his words becoming more careful. Memories brought him back to times when he was a human child, before he ever knew he'd become a symbol, before he knew his life would change, before he knew such power existed.
His human family once owned that a small, prominent estate. maybe a few acres housed what was considered "big" back then. The manor was part of a cozy settlement, a small village of days old. Then it came. And he was transformed into one of them. Only a child still. And it only took one man to desacrate that village and its humble inhabitants- Himself. This was where the legacy began...

By now, they'd wandered to the threshold of the rose garden, the very core of the labrynith. The capturing scent of the blossoming roses caught them both full on. It was like they walked into a sanctuary of beauty.

The color had paled a little in her cheeks, parting her hair enough so she could peek out from behind it. "Yes, I'm fine m'lord, thank you." She answered softly, having to take a calming breath, feeling her hands shaking a little. Namuni sensed some uncertainty in the air, glancing up to him only to look down again since she had found him gazing at her, the color rising again. Normally some part of her was always depressed, falling easily into pessimism. and despair. Yet now...that part wasn't there, he just seemed to have that effect on her. Her demon side wasn't even struggling to take over, and that was usually a constant.

After a moment, she pulled her hair back, golden eyes raising to his face tentitively. Namuni could see the faint saddness within his eyes, concern along with a kind of understanding appearing in hers. "Most things in life that a person desires, requires them to grow you could say. But sometimes desires leaves regret for the actions done to achieve it." She spoke, paraphrasing what the elder of her village had once said, the guilt and old pains that never left biting at her again. They never left, clinging to her, clouding everything that would probably brighten her day.

Her eyes widened a little once they stepped foot into the roses all around them, multitudes of color singing out to anyone who entered. Coming to a stop, it was a lot to absorb, the smells and vibrancey unlike anything she had ever experienced. Leaning a little against him, one arm slid to link with his, her head resting lightly against his shoulder with her body facing his side. "To think that you created this wonder....Its just mind blowing..." And yet it fits with the creator... She thought to herself at the same time she spoke, the faintest pastel pink painting her cheeks, more at peace like this against him. Something had cracked at her frozen core, only seeming to grow wider the more she was around him. Emotions she thought dead were beginning to return, slowly with just whispers that they were there.

Namuni could feel the push in her mind from him, yet wouldn't say anything, she didn't find a reason to. Few would she trust enough on that level to allow them to do so. In a way, she could sense that something had changed between them, something...pleasent. Raising her eyes at his gasp, she felt her face go scarlet when she saw how badly he was blushing, lowering her head again. Oh but a heat flowed through her veins, heart fluttering like the butterflies flying inside of her. The feeling only worsened when they faced each other, time seeming to slow. Tetitively touching her fingertips to his flaming red cheek, they ran lightly along the side of his face, smoothing a few white hairs from his features. Before she could stop herself, she rose up, her lips meeting his in a soft kiss. Pulling away, her heart was pounding inside her chest, forcing her features to somehow grow a deeper red than they already were.
