I'd say mostly just be careful you aren't creating a "straw man" for yourself. In other words, you aren't just using a made-up creation to funnel your own impulses through.

My gaurdian lets of a scent, a sweet smell. I know it is her because nobody in the house wears that smell, and everybody but me has moved out. I hear her footsteps at night, but i always thought it was just my heartbeat. Oneday i slept over at my auntie and auncles, but it was only me, luke (cousin), bec (cousin) and becs freind amy. Me and luke went to bed, and amy had to sleep in becs bed. I couldn't sleep, the footsteps were so loud. I went into becs room, look was in his room asleep. Bec and Amy both said "What is luke doing? is he pacing the kitchen?" then i realised. Other people in my family could hear the footsteps because they had that "knack" for hearing and seeing spirits and ghosts and stuff like that. It comes from mainly my mums side, but i get some stuff from my dads side. When my brother johnny came over he could hear her too. I once did a oiji board and learnt all i needed to know: she is always there. Her name is "Ele", but pronounced elly. I like the fact there is always someone there, but when i can't see her, i can only hear her, it freaks me out. I always think "what if it isn't her, what if its a demon of some form?". I just wish i could actually see her all of the time so i know.

I was at my friend's house (he studies Witchcraft) and he told me about spirit guides. About a year later I am over his house again and he is "possessed" by a Lilith(?). She(?) tells me that she is my spirit guide. Total bullshit? She (that is what I will call her) told me that if she possessed my friend for too long he would get sick. I don't believe any of what is said. My friend doesn't show up for the next couple days of school. Is he totally bullshitting me? I mean, is it possible for a Lilith, if they exist, to even be a spirit guide?

I have yet to really try much with my spiritual guardian - I know he, or she, is a snake of some sort or another - but I can't tell what kind or anything at all about them, I shall - however - try some of your techniques and see where that gets me.

He may not be doing it on purpose though, perhaps just to get attention or he totally got the wrong idea about something. 2. He is indeed being possessed by an entity but it isn't Lilith. From what you described, the entity doesn't really sound like Lilith. Keep in mind that entities can lie about their identity for various reasons. Kudos to you for being skeptical though.

Also, Lilith is a name. The word you may be looking for is "lilim" - the spawn of Lilith. And...I've never heard of one of them being a spirit guide. Though, to answer two questions at once, I wouldn't be surprised if one tried to convince you they were a spirit guide.

God's In His HeavenThanks for the help. I have agreed with iolitefire's #1 option since my friend "was possessed." He just pissed me off when he did it. I am very skeptical of everything, even much of what people say they can do with magick.
@Yvaine: The Lilith your are refering to is the one in Judeo-Christian belief. In that case Lilith is a name, but in the "Occult", Lilith is a temptationer(?) spirit. Lilim is plural. All's Right With The World

She asked the spirit about it, and they let her know that, for her, when she hears things put into words she starts to over-think it. So they just use symbols, feelings, etc in order to cut down on her own tendency to self-sabotage. So there's at least one other person who has the same phenomenon going on, although in your case the reason might be different. Try asking Charlie about it.

My spirit guide is a grey wolf. Her name is Mira. Subconciously, I have always known that my spirit guide would be a wolf, for I have always been fascinated with them for some reason. To find her though, I used my astral projection to put myself in my "happy place". The first few times I did it, a wolf kept walking in, but I dismissed it as a random thought. Eventually she jumped at me and tackled me. She did not speak or make a noise when I asked her her name. A thought popped into my head, Mira. I thought it was just me thinking of a name so I thought of other names as hard as I could, but it kept coming back.
Mira, is my spirit guide, and has always looked over me. Every night I hear a slam against my door, and claws padding on the wood floor above me, though my dog sleeps in a large cage. She is watching out for me, making sure I'm aware that she is there to protect me. She heightens my awareness, especially when I'm eating. If some disgusting thing happens to my food, my spirit wolf pulls me away from it.
