OH. MAN. Was this poor musician ever lost. So this Larxene lady completely snapped at him, disregarding his hand to help her up. Not only that, she had dusted herself off dutifully and immediately started flirting with that Flower guy... Marxia or something. When Marxia didn't really answer, the antennae'd girl turned to Axel, attempting to jab holes through the other man with her EYES.

How did he get caught up in such a huge mess? Demyx sighed, brows tweaking in confusion. His blue eyes caught a little movement from Roxas, who looked like he was attempting to escape. Wait. No, he couldn't leave! Not without Demyx, anyhow. The young musician didn't want to be stuck here with these people. Especially since he knew he didn't like them at all. Nope. Those memories were nice and clear.

Well--he did like Axel. But Axel was currently involved with said creepy people. Like Larxene and Mar--Mar... Marluxia. Right-o. Demyx remembered having a hard time with the man's name all the time. Even from before. Why? He didn't know.

Then again, Demyx never knew much. A crash caught his drifting attention, and dust flew up from the smashed door. His eyes went wide, eyebrows shooting up, and mouth gaping much like a fish. The first thing he was when the dust cleared was a clean cut "X" shaped scar. There was only one person he knew who had that.

An almost strangled whimper came from the back of his throat upon putting the name to the face... or rather, the scar. That scar meant someone really scary. Someone by the name of Saix.

Saix. SAIX. HOLY s**t. HE WAS SO GOD DAMN SCARY, EVEN WITH THAT ENTIRELY CONFUSED LOOK ON HIS FACE. Demyx would've wet himself, if only he had an extra pair of underwear. However, he didn't. So instead, he fled to shelter behind Axel.

Which, was about as productive as hiding behind a toothpick.

"So, this is where Sora took his crazy-long nap."

Yuffie quietly stepped out of the woods and onto the grassy knoll in front of the old mansion. She shuddered at the bright sunlight, now even more painful after the trek through the shady glen. Who would have thought a town like this would have a forest, anyway? She raised her gloved hand to her brow, blocking out the annoyance, and scanned the area. This place looks nothing like the other buildings here. It's almost like a mausoleum. Who built this place?

Had she been here on vacation, she would have spent her time looking for the answer to this and the multitud of other questions she had about the town. Hell, she would have even forced her friends to come along with her. But this was no pleasure trip. Her instructions were to find Sora, take him back to Radiant Garden, and cop out of him EXACTLY what had happened in The World That Never Was. According to his original story, Organization XIII's plot to take over Kingdom Hearts was foiled by the now deceased Ansem the Wise, and the surviving members of the sinister group had all been destroyed. A plausible tale, and one she had hoped was true, but after reports began to filter in about Organization members reappearing in Twilight Town, the story seemed flimsy. With Radiant Garden being valuble to both Heartless and Nobodies, pre-emptive action was seen as necessary, and Yuffie was "volunteered" to search for the young key-bearer.

The possible implications of the mission prominent in her mind, she took her first steps onto the knoll, keeping a keen eye out for any immediate threats. There was evidence of a recent Heartless battle, as well as other battles in the more distant past, but so far the incarnations of darkness were nowhere to be seen. Just ahead, at the door of the mansion, she could faintly make out two figures; one with red hair and the other with silver hair. Ah, the Princess and the Criminal. Wonder if they know where Spiky went? Doubling over into a hurdler's stance, she went into an all-out sprint, making sure to keep her movements noiseless and her eyes locked on the target. The pair didn't even notice as she quickly closed the gap between them, rendering it to merely an inch by the time Kairi pushed the door open.

"Hiya kids. Can Sora come out to play?"

(Sorry if this is a bit rambling and random. This is my first post, and I wasn't sure what to write.)

Kairi looked at the girl who had just appeared in the doorway and blinked, "Yuffie?" she squinted, something about the older girl looked different...maybe it was her outfit. "Wow, Yuffie! I haven't seen you since....Traverse town, I think! How have you been?" she smiled.

She turned back to Riku and waved him over, "Don't worry, Riku! This is Yuffie...I know her from Traverse Town...on our last adventure!"

"Wait..." her smiled turned into a frown, "Even you haven't seen Sora....?"

((gah...so short.))

Xigbar let out a tired sigh as he walked down the stairs of the mansion, holding his head. He tried to think about where he was, he even tried to think of what could have possibly happened the day before. Nothing. A complete and utter blank. He was left chanting one thought, 'My name is Xigbar, my name is Xigbar.' He heard voices nearby. His mind strayed to wonder as he walked over, aiming to see who it was that was talking and who it was that was whimpering.

He came upon the scene between the dissipated Organization. His golden eye opened slightly in confusion as he stepped forward, his thin legs shaking as he tried to keep himself up. There was a lack of food in his body and whoa. That was getting to him fast.

"Dudes, what's going on here...?" Xigbar said in a tired voice as he looked at the other people. He got glares and shrunk back slightly, vaguely wondering if he did something while he got blitzed. "Dudes, whatever I did, sorry... Mind tellin me what I did... And hell, while you're at it... Tellin me something about me? Cos I know my name's Xigbar but damn. That's all I know..."

Riku was speechless. Who was this woman? He shook her hand when offered with a stiff politeness that was almost entirely unconscious. He had the distinct impression that this woman was full of herself, a bit pompous, and rather rude.

But people said that about him sometimes too, or at least had at one time, so that was the pot calling the kettle black, wasn't it.

She fell into a fighter's pose that reeked of long practice and skill. "As big as this dump is, he'd be pretty hard to find. How about I give you guys some help?" He bristled. The nerve of some people!

"We don't need any help, thank you." Riku summoned Way to the Dawn and kicked at the pieces of wood still blocking the doorframe. "Now if you'll excuse us," he muttered and pushed past the ninja, entering the mansion's foyer.

"And I'll have you know that this 'musty tomb' was for a time my home!" he called back, feeling somehow slighted.
