I only shave my legs during summer. But during winter I don't even bother since nobody even looks at my legs under my pants. So I don't have to worry about people looking at me crazy.

I wear pants most of the time and when I do wear skirts I usually wear fun stockings. But when I am not wearing eithernot one seems to notice except my mom.

I love all the trends. I like designers. I have a vuitton and a coach bag. But I also have some semi Gothic Lolita skirts and stuff. I love dressing j-rocker-ish. Though I sometimes have to mellow it down. I do have to go to school =P. The Japanese are too stylish for their own good. My next shopping trip I'm getting me some of those boots =P.

I've been obsessed with the unazukin fad.

It's too bad they haven't brought Unazukin to America yet... They've brought it over to Europe. The import prices are super expensive, it's so much cheaper if you actually buy it while you're in Japan.
I've only bought the yurayura unazukins (because they were selling them at the Japanese grocery store in Seattle), the tiny models that you rock back and forth...
I'd love to get a full size model someday! ^_^b!!!

Too bad I don't plan visiting Japan for a year or so....

Here's some Unazukin links:

Official Site (in Japanese)

A LOT of pictures of かわいい うなずきん

A short Youtube video of an unazukin responding to questions!

Hadn't keitai culture been around for quite a while? Japanese cell phones are amazing, I remember around 1995, being shocked that Japanese people had cell phones that could take pictures... A friend of mine showed me the pictures he could take with his phone and I was just like whoaaaa.... and then of course, America doesn't even adopt the technology until like 1998 or 1999....
We're so behind in terms of technology compared to Japan!!! crying

I hope they don't start picking up OUR trends... Urban "music" sucks! (I use the term "music" mighty loosly when I refer to the Urban genres.) Keep music real and pure!

The Japanese are notorious for borrowing trends from other cultures, especially among the teenage population. They take some of our trends and transform them to their own versions. I care not what anyone thinks, rap is annoying no matter what language it's in.... unless, of course, it is backed with real music.

Yeah I have a friend who told me that (she lived in Japan from grade 2 to 5) and I was like! "Whoa lucky!"

Japan is like 5-10 years ahead of the entire world in terms of technology. Lucky! sad

Indeed, I've read about cell phones in Japan nowdays come with blogging technologies installed into the phone, so they can easily post, edit their code, ect.
I wonder why our cell phones here in America.... are just so stubborn to adopt the latest technologies until it's been tested and proved to work without problems in Japan for at least three to five years.
Maybe they're just worried about all the lawsuits people would file and claim if ANYTHING goes wrong with the phone on a widespread level.

Too many people sue and file class action suits over things that aren't necessary.

j-Rap has already begun and has been around for a while. But rap isn't always as discriminative and deragatory as its reputation makes it seem. For example, Ludacris' recent single, Runaway Love, is pretty sad and reflective. Even many Nobel Prize winners in Music would not deny that rap is a form of music.

Japanese women are more feminine than a lot of the women in the states, as seen in ordinary fashion mags. You'll see more girls with skirts than jeans over there.

It's like here, where all the highschoolers are wearing Hamtaro and Hello Kitty ><

And.. I <3 Tamagotchis~ I had a "custom" one because we had to swap out the buttons on mine, so it was yellow with pink buttons. XD I may just have to buy another one >.>

And... I want loose socks T-T But I would have to buy weird man-socks until I can afford to go to Seattle and wander around Japan-town. Plus, I think I would always want to take them off, since they'd almost always be falling off XD

And... Mmmm.. Ganguro girls >< We have those here. They're called whores. And... Stuff. I dunno. I think tan people look.. weird. But then again, my skin reflects sun, so I never tan 3nodding

What's creepy is when the Ganguro girls bleach their hair until it's really blonde. Then they get a tan! It looks so wierd... I s that supposed to be attractive? Boy Oh boy... 30 years from now, I'll bet they'll have skin cancer. eek

Paris Hilton looks a little bit Ganguro sometimes.

I'm not sure if this is a trend..
But a lot of the Korean - Japanese people
I know have a TON of pens in their pencil cases.
They have different colored pens, stuff that
change colors, weird, fancy, expensive pens.
Of course, all of them have glittered gel pens >'D
Even the guys DD<

My, my. I ADORE Decora fashion. The girl's accessories are just so adorable. heart
Um, I have a Hello Kitty pocketbook I got from Claire's, a Chococat pen, mousepad, paperclip-like thingy, and dry-erase board, and a Hello Kitty bedspread. <3
My Spanish best friend, Gisela, tells me that God made a mistake when he made me American, because I'm so obsessed with Japan and the like. xd
