Nekoyasha_Skiiy Blue Juice is the best valve oil...my valves are so fast, like you have no idea! NODon't Use Blue Valve Oil!!! It Stains your valves and in the long run will hurt your trumpet. My personal trumpet instuctor and Doctor Wesley Woolard (My school a**'t band director) who has played nationally and around the world including the national Dutch sympany. They say its bad DONT USE it It really is bad. Rule of them If the oil smells or is colored dont use it!

I just hate it when like people are too good to use generic brand valve oil. Like one time I was in our solo and ensemble rooms which has four small practice rooms in it and I was sitting there going over stuff for my private lessons I was taking at the time. And this guy who i really hate came in there and started to practice with me and he needed some valve oil so I offered him mine and he's like "NO! That stuff will never touch my valves!I ONLY USE THIS KIND!" stare stressed

I use non-smelly and non-colored myself, but it disappeared, and so if I want to use any, I have to turn to the other person in my section who has the same trumpet make as I do.

I'll use any valve oil I got, I just have blue juice cause I found a full bottle on the band hall floor, and I like the color blue...i suppose I'd use just about anything...
I didnt have valve oil once, and i needed it, so i spat on my valves until they worked good...it didnt last too long, but it got me through that BOA...

That's what my band director says- spit on your valves if we're on the field and don't have valve oil.

Eric's trumpet sucks, and he's lost like the bottoms to all his valve pipe things, so he'll just like spit into it in the middle of practice...
Sometimes, him and Nick have spitting contests to see who can spit farther...it's really stupid...and theyre the section leaders...
Mr. McCutchan, the Orchestra director, says that generally, the lower the pitch of the instrument, the lower the IQ of its players...and we asked him about percussion, and he just shook his head, and he said,"when you pick up a drumstick, your IQ drops 50 points..."

In general, you need to be careful about valve oil. If you've always used a regular, clear vavle oil, you shouldn't switch to Blue Juice without completely cleaning your valves adn everything- it can really screw up your valves.
I prefer the Al Cass "Rocket Fast" Valve Oil. It's a little bit more expensive, but I works really well. I do think that most valve oils work about the same though.
