Lu Bu sat atop the tower and watched the city move about its business when suddenly he noticed a caravan of red clad soldiers and a young man with a young lady riding on horses. They had to be Sun Ce and Da Qiao, there was no one else it could be. They were not Japanese and wore Wu's colors. "Ha!" Lu Bu grinned as he decided to meet the ruler of Wu. He descended the stairs quickly with weapon in hand and stepped out the door. The guards didn't make a move to try to harm him simply out of pure fear, however they did follow him. It was no big deal to Bu for if he really wanted to cause trouble two guards wouldn't be able to do anything. He exited the castle and approached the conversing rulers.
"I see that the tiger's cub has come to Xiao Pei..." He said in a mocking manner, "Funny, people always say that Sun Jian would have become a dragon had he not gotten lost on the way to Hu Luo Gate, I say he would have failed miserably when put up against a REAL dragon." He stood strongly behind Liu Bei with his weapon pointing straight up.

Ce looked past Liu Bei and Zhang Fei to see a man of great terror standing behind them. It was Lu Bu! Not only was Lu Bu here but he was insulting Ce's father and family name! He silently growled in anger and then snapped, "My father was twice the man you are! How dare you speak of him with such disrespect! Liu Bei, what are you doing with a man like this in your company?" He let out some of his steam and immediately felt better, despite whatever he might have done to upset Lu Bu.

"Forgive me Sun Ce...." Liu Bei apologized, wishing that Lu Bu hadn't come out as brashly as he just had. "...Lu Bu came here seeking shelter, and because he lent aid in the first battle in Xia Pi against the invaders I couldn't reject him." Bei supposed that not even Lu Bu could show some kindness, considering that he was currently getting a very rare opportunity being able to stay welcomed inside of Shu. "Lu Bu, I please ask you to be kind to those of Wu and Shu. I am showing you hospitality so please show me the same."
Weither or not that would have any effect at all, the ruler could only guess. "Lord Sun Ce, Lady Da Qiao, please come with into my castle so we may discuss these matters in a more personal area."
That... w-was that the Lu Bu? The one that was talked about with such terror and fear. Da kept her composure while she looked at the warrior, reminding herself that she was just as much the face of Wu are her husband was. What would people say if she started shaking? Or would they even blame her? Nevertheless, she couldn't show fear. Not in front the leader of Shu, and most certainly not in front of Lord Sun Ce! She leaned over in her saddle, moving over and beginning to whisper into her husband's ear.
"Don't let him bother you Ce." Da stated as she laid her hand gently on his arm to help reassure him. "Lu Bu may be powerful, but he will never the kind of compassion that your father did." Strength alone didn't make you a great warrior... Da knew enough about battle to know this. "I think that you're a much better man than he is- don't let Lu Bu take you down, Ce...."

Ce's brow was furrowed gruffly but as soon as his wife had spoken to him all his cares disappeared and he was able to think clearly again. He nodded and kicked his horse, "Thank you, Liu Bei. Let's go Da!" He said as he began to make his way into the city, past Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, and Lu Bu.
Zhang Fei turned around immediately at the sound of Lu Bu's voice and clenched his weapon tightly. He didn't move and tried as hard as he could to keep Lu Bu welcome.

Lu Bu crossed his arms with a smirk on his face and weapon still in hand. "Yeah, yeah...." He said submissively. He had his fun and knew that Liu Bei was indeed correct. He glanced over at Zhang fei and couldn't help but laugh. Bei's attack dog was growling and would attack if let off his leash, too bad his bark was far worse than his bite! "So another battle is taking place. If you wouldn't mind I think I'll head out, I could use a good workout. Lu Bu headed toward the stable where Red Hare was being kept. "I have to earn my stay somehow..." He said as he walked, implying that he would be staying a little longer.

Xiao Qiao wasn't even invited into Liu Bei's palace, but she had followed her sister anyway, and thought that now was the time to sort of scout the area for any special people that Wu could welcome into their army. She manuevered around the marketplace, donning her street clothes beforehand so as not to stick out like a sora thumb of sorts. Xiao spotted a couple of vendors, not really knowing what to do. She decided to check ou the stable, and see if she could find anyone important there. She walked in and what did she behold but one of the biggest men she had ever seen, he was mounting his steed and looked positively fierce, Xiao knew him from stories and legends but couldn't quite place his name.

Da smiled as her husband returned to his senses, gently patting her horse's head to tell her mare to go. The mare snorted and moved, following the stallion that her husband was perched upon. She reached out, petting the mare's neck with her tender finger tips with a ginger smile on her face. Horses were such beautiful and gentle creatures, it was a shame that they had to be placed into something like war. Oh, for the time of peace. When would that come? Not soon enough for Ce. Soon he would fade away, but she would be certain to keep his dream growing strong! His spirit would be able to rest in peace, if nothing else. Besides... even if Ce did die, Da would be reunited with him in heaven. The place where there was always peace.
Comforted by these thoughts, she lifted her head up just as they rode up to the stables, thankful that her horse was trained well.
"Allow my men to take your horses." Bei bowed, Da dismounting and doing as what had been offered. "Now please, follow me."
Once they were in a room where they could speak privately and there was tea present, Bei sat down, Da sitting down beside where her husband was. Liu Bei waited until everyone was seated until he cleared his throat to speak. "Please make yourselves comfortable. It is an honor to be able to meet with you, Lord Sun Ce, and your beautiful wife Lady Da Qiao." The legends about the Qiao's beauty weren't false at the least. "Now onto Xia Pi. Xia Pi was attacked yesterday but we were able to fend off the attacks. My brother Lord Guan Yu had been defending the castle and then I sent off Gan Ning and my neice Xing Cai for aid. Once the battle was over Gan Ning and Guan Yu returned and Xing Cai was left in care of Xia Pi. Then early this morning the castle was attacked again by the same commander... Dahte Musahmuneh." It was difficult to remember the young lad's name, he could only hope that he'd said it without too many errors. He sighed and took a moment for thought, pulling lightly on his beard. He released it and then began to speak again. "Guan Yu and Gan Ning have been sent back to push them back, and appearantly two other officers other than Xing Cai were present when the attack first started. But unfortunately I have no other real information regarding what is currently happening there...."

Sun Ce made his way to the chambers with his wife and humblly accepted Liu Bei's compliments. "It is an honor to meet with you as well, Lord Liu Bei. My father had no bad things to say about you when you volunteered to fight not only the turbans but also Dong Zhuo. It will be a pleasure of Wu to fight with you again." He said before sitting down at the table. He took his seat with Da at his side and poured himself a cup of tea, sipping it gently as he listened to Bei speak of the situation at Xia Pi. "Hmm... Two attack from the same commander right in a row. He is either very aggressive and confident or he is foolish. I would not worry about Xia Pi for now. I have brought my army up to assist in battle there and with my army is a man of interesting abilities. His name is Keiji Maeda and he indeed is from accross the ocean. They call the place "Japan" and most of their men are fierce warriors not afraid to die. Keiji himself is almost as large of a man as Guan Yu is and I have a hunch that he would be a good match for your brother. Friendly, of course. We can't allow these invaders to cause more problems than they already have. So, Liu Bei, I feel that instead of trying to 'get something' out of this alliance in terms of land or money as was done in the past, we need to stay strong together in order to defeat this enemy. The reward for strong bonds here is not land nor is it of any real material value, it is life! If they were to break past your lands they would surely come to Wu and strike us with just as much ferocity so that is why I feel the way I do." Ce clenched his fist as he spoke, angry that these invaders would try to take from him what his father had left him and his family.
Zhang Fei entered the chamber and took his place to the right of Liu Bei. He remained silent and let Sun Ce speak his mind, and, for the most part, was inspired by the Little Conqueror's words. He raised his cup, which had wine in it and not tea, and said "Here here! We will fight them back no matter what!"

Lu Bu fully mounted his Red Hare and turned the horse around to spy a small lady looking at him from the doorway. He rode forward and with a smile said, "Little lady, you had better move for my horse could crush you." He didn't want to hurt her so his voice was indeed sincere.

"Are you going out to battle the foreigners, sir? You look very powerful, and I believe that I've heard about you but I can't quite place your name. But, yes, I will move. I'm just rather bored with my sister inside the castle and all, talking to Liu....whoops, did I blow my cover?" Xiao Qiao turned bright red and expected the man to know who she was now. But it couldn't be that bad to tell him, right?

"Yes, Lord Sun Ce." Liu Bei nodded, his facial expressioin firm. Lord Sun Ce spoke true words. "We must put this conquest over China aside for now! For if we continue fighting among ourselves then these foreigners will certainly destroy us all."
"China isn't broken off into pieces," Da added with a small smile, bringing her hand up and resting it against her cleavage. "Maybe it is, but in truth, it belongs to all of us. So we should protect it together." She blushed lightly, moving her round innocent eyes to look over at her husband. Her words didn't neccesarily match what the two rulers were saying, but she still felt that it needed to be said. "The only people who should be able to claim any part of China is us- the Chinese. We were born here and this land is rightfully ours." She now looked over at Bei, her blush deepening. It was a little embarrasing to talk so boldly in front of him and his brother. "We can't allow them to take it from us... or... or else everything that we all worked for would have been in vain!" All of those soldiers, the people who'd worked so hard to establish Wu! No, their work would show fruit! It already had. They could be proud now, and these people who wanted to steal it away.... It wasn't fair.
"Very much indeed, Lady Da Qiao." Bei smiled slightly, touched by her words. "If any of us lose, then we will all lose. We must avoid this at all costs." His eyes moved back over to Sun Ce, and he nodded once again. "I will protect your lands just as well as you will protect my own. I promise this."

Ce lovingly placed his hand on Da Qiao's shoulder as she spoke. He was so proud to have such a passionate wife that it only made him want to live just a little bit longer, even just one moment longer than the fates had intended for him. One moment to be by her side as the ruler of a peaceful nation. The dream of Wu was worth fighting for. He heard Liu Bei speak and his eyes widened with a large grin, "That's exactly what I wanted to hear and what I would expect from the virtuous man, Liu Bei. If you are willing to lend the full power of Shu then Wu shall lend you its full power in return! This land WILL NOT fall!" He thrust his fist down to the table with a fiery ambition in his eyes. He stood up and bowed to Liu Bei. I thank you, Lord Liu Bei. You have given me more hope for this land. Would you mind if my wife and I stay the night here before returning to our outpost? Traveling can be rough sometimes and it would be nice to rest somewhere civilized."
Zhang Fei grinned at the young couple. They were indeed respectful of his brother and that always made him happy. Fei hoped that one day he would be able to set foot on the battlefield along side the Little Conqueror, Liu Bei, and Guan Yu. It would be a glorious battle indeed
((Ugh, I hate my Zhang Fei posts.... I just don't feel it with him when all he can do is sit there. I guess that's probably how he felt during those times too though, huh? I am picturing him outside of Zhuge Liang's house with Guan Yu, bitching about how they don't need a strategist and how restless he looked. xD))

{{Lol Shidobu, I was thinking the exact same thing every post that I saw you make as him. xDD}}
"I would be more than happy to give you and your wife housing." Liu Bei responded as he stood up and bowed in return to Ce. His wife quickly got up and did the same, her cheeks seemingly flushed from the responced that she'd gotten. Bei turned his head and called a servant in, who immediately entered and bowed to everyone in the room before awaiting his Lord's orders. "Please make a room suitable for Lord Sun Ce and his wife to stay in for the night. I want them to feel as welcome as possible."
"Yes Lord Liu Bei!" The servant responded, quickly getting up and leaving, eager to perform the task that had been given to him.
"Hopefully by tomorrow the battle happening over at Xia Pi will be over." Bei stated with a sigh but there was still a smile on his face. "Both Zhang Fei are eager for our brother to come home, and I'm quite certain that Zhang Fei wishes for his daughter to be back beside him. It should be a pleasure for all of my officers to know that such a respectable man such as yourself is here within Shu, even if only for a while."
Da blushed, deeply embarrased but also proud of the responces that she'd gotten from the two men. She looked up at her husband, her eyes glowing, when she felt his hand touch her shoulder. 'Oh Ce! I wish that you could stay longer here with me, too!' She thought to herself, somehow knowing his thoughts just by looking into his eyes. Then he stood up and she followed quickly after, bowing along with him. A room? Oh, it would be lovely for Ce to get a place to rest. She smiled warmly at Lord Liu Bei, who looked over at her and smiled back after he'd finished speaking about his officers.
"We're waiting eagerly, also." Da commented, the blush fading away from her cheeks. "I'll certainly enjoy staying here in Shu along with my husband...."
Then a servant reappeared, though different from the last, stating that their room was ready. "If you'll follow me, I'll gladly lead you to it, Lord Sun Ce and Lady Da Qiao."

Ce stood up and bowed to Liu Bei, "Thank you very much for you hospitality, Lord Liu Bei. You will always be welcome in Wu as long as I am alive." He straightened his back and followed the servant to the door then down the hall to where their room was. The servent graciously opened the door and bowed with a hand extended, showing them into the room. Ce smiled and said, "Thank you very much. Tell your lord how much we appreciate this." He entered the room and awaited for his wife to follow before closing the door behind them. He walked over to the bed and sat down, staring at the floor for a brief moment before looking back up at his wife. "It eases my soul knowing that there is a man such as Liu Bei ruling Shu. Not much like Cao Cao... Though we are in an alliance with Cao Cao I feel so uneasy with him, like he will try to use this alliance to give us a false sense of security. What do you think Da?"
Zhang Fei waited until after the lords of Wu had left before making himself less presentable. He let out a deep breath and allowed his shoulders to slump a little. "I'm telling you brother, ten thousand men are of little challenge for me but having to stay proper with everyone is far more difficult!" He gave a hearty laugh at his comment and stretched his arms out then suddenly his mood changed and he immediately clenched his fists. "Rrah! I can't stand having Cai away, off in battle! What if she's hurt? I-" He stopped there. He knew that he couldn't go out to help her for it was still important to stay at his brother's side. He had to keep telling himself that she was strong and could handle herself, though it still tore him up inside.

((Oops, I seem to have forgotten the Dragon...))
Lu Bu smirked as he rode past her. "Ah, so you must be with the Sun family. Oh well..." The Red Hare trotted out of the stable and stopped not too far away. He turned and looked to her and said, "I am Lu Bu and I am off to battle the foreigners!" He cried out in response to her questions. People stared up at him in fear of his announcement. His mighty horse reared up on its hind legs and darted down the street toward the city gate, then out toward Xia Pi.
