I'd be happy to help you get more Planescape information if you want, Rae. heart mimir.net has a lot of stuff on it, but from what I remember it's a little confusing to navigate. I'd suggest fidning the part about the Sigil factions. Picking a faction is vital to a planar character!

So ... I have to ask: new characters (I've probably asked before, but at least two people have new art for new/semi-new characters lately, so here we go!).
If you have one, or have never mentioned that character in this thread before, I'd love to hear about them (or if you have mentioned them and they didn't have a story or much background information at that point). Go on, humour me (;

I haven't really designed a new character in awhile. Well, maybe one, but taht was a couple months ago, so maybe that consists as awhile. I've been mainly doing commissions and - in my head only, since I need my hands to do commission - giving old characters physiccal traits (I work in that I take the character's story role, then give them a personality, then their physical traits).

I have the still unnamed Greek guy that I still haven't done much with yet. I should come up with a story for him soon >>;

I find that if I try to make a character they just fall flat. I need a slot for them, some where for them to be useful. A new one just happend when I was playing around with the gender of some old ones. Isn't he sweet?The girl he's based off is insurcure but shows off a lot to make up for it. Some how he ended up as an elective mute. sweatdrop He did mange to keep her chubbyness and sense of humour though. It's not a full time thing, but it certainly makes RPing with him intresting. He's already got some of his own sign language and I've had to make him carry a notebook around (it's the communication thing, not just talking). Even when he is talking, there's still always things he wont say. He's really, really, selfishly and annoyingly shy. Beacuse he's really another character he's already got two brothers, and lots of other odd little realtionships with random people. It's really fun seeing how he fits in and adapts. I can't wait to try him in other settings^^ We keep the characters, but change the setting, beacuse short RPs are more fun for us 3nodding Best of all, RKO loves him, she's the artist out of the two of us, so he's going to get drawn quite a bit, not to mention two people commishing art of him. heart

I work like that, too - if I don't have a personality or a plot for a character, it seems a bit hollow. Additionally, I think if you're going to have a character without a story it needs to be amazingly brilliant and compelling looks-wise if you're going to get away with it (otherwise it would ultimately get a bit dull, really). You know, sort of like Satin is ... a fabric. All right, that was silly - ignore me (; Eraia I find that if I try to make a character they just fall flat. Another one of my characters getting beaten up in another dimension!

Audley Well, it's lucky when you find an artist who likes drawing your character/s (: What's this one's name? She's my RP buddy, so sometimes we have characters she likes to draw, somtimes there's ones she just hates. He's called Riki/Yuki, but people tend to just call him Ruki. Which I'm pretty sure is a girls name, but that's her fault not mine^^

I usually find that I need two main characters to start off a story...then I'll usually end up writing a ton more stories about them and, gradually, I'll find myself wanting to write more and more about the bit characters as well...then I start giving them historys and an image. ^^ They are usually the ones who turn out the best and most belivable, or more interesting, actually. 3nodding I find it highly difficult to just pluck a character out of thin air.

This thread has been pretty dead lately ^_^; Well, anyway. Extreme boredom at work led to one thing, which led to another, which led to me starting up a livejournal account to write little Lilith-exerpt-style-story-things. It's got two entries thus far. I maintain that I'm a miserable writer, but one of the few people I've shown it to tells me that it's fabulous. He's kind of nuts though, so I suppose he would appreciate a very... spastic, disoriented writing style such as my own. In any case, if it interests you to read it, it is as thusly: http://chaosthrough.livejournal.com/

Humm~ Finally got around to making decent profiles for my Ginny the Great characters, also started fleshing out the prelude. xP (JJW) Each profile contains the characters story too. Though, I still have a few more profiles to complete... x3 But their roles aren't too big, so I'm being a bit lazy with them. xP GtG Cast ListMy TSC characters have profiles up too, but they're not as in depth as the GtG. But I tend to be a bit stingy when it comes to that cast. But I've finally gave some information on the relationships between the characters, particularly Seth. TSC Cast List

I need to keep up with this thread more ::reads/clicks links::
In the mean time, the great red-head debate? (; Just which does this guild skew in terms of hair colours? I need to make a list of my OCs with corresponding hair colours - if anyone else would care to do so, too, that would be both interesting and excellent (:
