Amber wasn't sure what else she could do to help stop the gas from coming in. Wren's foam covering her ice helped block off what gas was coming in temporarily, and she had to commend Sub for his quick thinking in using his Galarian Weezing to filter the gas that had gotten in. At least they could somewhat breathe now, for however long it would last. Though she looked calm on the outside, inwardly, she was starting to panic slightly. The ones that were still outside didn't know what was happening. Would they suspect something was wrong and try to help? Or would they remain blissfully unaware of what was happening?
Deo's voice broke through her thoughts, and she looked at the Luxray hybrid with a new respect. That X-ray vision of his was really coming in handy here. She turned her attention to Sub as the leader outlined a plan, and she had to admit, it was probably their only shot. "Alright," she said. She waited until Griswald had wrapped himself around her hand and lower forearm, taking the rope Sub handed to her and looking at Wren and Deo. "Deo, I'll take you first, since you're the largest," she said. "We don't know how far down the next floor is, so you'll need to be the one to catch Sub and Wren once I phase them through." Having said this, she waited until the Luxray hybrid had grabbed onto her, then focused her energy into phasing out of existence and through the floor. Her tangible hand kept her from completely going through, giving Deo enough time to drop to the floor below once they were through and she became tangible again.
When Deo was safe, she went back, using the rope that anchored her to pull herself back up. "Wren, you're next," she said. Taking all three of her teammates through would be taxing, for sure, but she could handle it. She'd been training a lot more with her Ghost-types, wanting to be of use if something happened where she was able to use her abilities, like now. It seemed that training was paying off, as it didn't take long for her to get Wren through, either. When it was time to get Sub, she waited for him to recall his Pokemon and grab onto her, then phased through the floor one last time, taking the two down to the next floor and hoping Deo would be able to catch them.

Wren let out a small sigh as Sub released his Galarian Weezing. He was still thinking when Deo announced the floor wasn't infused with Ebonite and Sub immediately outlined a plan for their escape. "Sounds like a solid enough plan to me." He announced as Amber began to prepare. She decided to take Deo first, which made perfect sense to him considering the Luxray hybrid's size. As the pair began to make heir way through the floor, he decided Bohdan's effort was doing enough to keep the gas at bay and released Cassava, his Jumpluff. The pokemon had last been seen as a Skiploom by the other Snagems, before he'd left for Lentimas a year ago. "I'm going to need some Cotton Spore, Cassava. Fill me up." He informed the Cottonweed Pokemon, holding up his Artifact.
"Puff pluff!" Cassava agreed, immediately producing a cloud of spores that the gun-shaped Artifact began to feed upon. Once he was satisfied with the quantity of spores, he held up the Nest Ball that held his partner. "Thanks, buddy!" He told him. "But I need you to stay in your ball for a while now. Even the air's not totally safe right now." He informed as he recalled his partner.
Once Amber returned from her trip through with Deo, he approached the icy Hybrid and let her instruct him on how best to share this ride. The feeling of becoming intangible was awful to him. The cold touch of death itself seeped into his very bones and all of his senses vanished for a few short moments as he became unable to receive any kind of sensory input. Just as suddenly as he'd gone blind and deaf, however, the world erupted back into existence with a flash and a deafening roar. He lost his grip at the sudden assault on his senses and began to fall from the rope. Fortunately, he'd become so used to unexpected falls over the last year that he almost immediately flipped himself around, Artifact in hand, and fired a cloud of cotton toward the ground. Crashing into it, the cloud sagged slightly under his weight before he began to lower himself toward the floor. "I'm fine!" He called up to Amber as he went, sure she nesrly had a heart attack as he fell. "Good thing I deeciided to fiill up on cotton before i went through... That could've been bad." He remarked more to himself than Deo as he looked around. "I can help get them both down when she comes back with Sub." He informed the dark-furred man. "That way you don't have to try and catch them both."

Sub would watch as his plan was a success, Amber taking Deo and then Wren down. As she came back up for him he called out to the others, knowing his voice would be carried through the vents. "Guys! The floor isn't ebonite! Deo confirmed it with his x-ray vision! You should be able to break it!" With that he recalled Bohdan and beckoned Griswald back to his shadow, immediately after the Weezing was recalled he could see the gases flowing back in and quickly. Turning to Amber he gave her a nod. "Alright, let's do this." He said, grabbing her hand.

I perked up, staring in confusion, hearing Sub from his own enclosure. “Wait, you sure!? I just-” I said. Seeing the bunch starting to move only confirmed it. “Guess so…” Well, I stood corrected. I had to think fast. We had a way out now; just needed the best way to get through.
“Any ideas?” Tristen asked.
“Just one that doesn’t involve blowing things, never mind us, up…clear the floor…Obstagoon!” I tossed out a Pokeball out in the containment, and out before the bunch in our group out came the tall, black, white, and grey furred wild thing of a Pokémon, Obstagoon.
“Eheheheheh!” The Obstagoon cackled out.
“Obstagoon! We’re short on time. We got to get through the floor. Dig. Have at it.” I commanded.
Obstagoon knelt down clawing away at the floor only for the smooth surface seem to do nothing more than get a bunch of scratches, which did nothing more than turn Obstagoon’s serrated grin upside down. “HAAAH!” The Obstagoon roared out, slamming his fists down on the ground fiercely, crumbling the surface layer of the floor. The Pokémon then started to claw away at the floor, tossing aside the various debris, burrowing into the floor.
“All the way to the other side; we need to see the next floor below. Hurry Obstagoon!” I said. Obstagoon constantly dug away at the floor at a frantic pace; pulling up more debris like concrete, insulation, and wires, until finally punching a hole to the other end and Obstagoon slipping on in. “Follow him!” I said, rushing over to grab Ogerpon who was now reeling from what gas that made it into the enclosure. “Cera, Tristen, Ammy, go!” I said. Tristen would be the first to go on command, having to take a blind leap of faith effectively. Not sure what was below, but it was better than staying here. I would end up following everyone else as soon as they made it through.

Reno, Sol, Ulla, Monique
Growling as he felt his vision beginning to waver, Reno just stared at the minor damage that all his efforts to generate a pinpoint break had resulted in. He could recognize Purite and Ebonite, but obviously he had stopped at that after they hadn't proven effective for what he had been trying to do with making the Ultra Spacesuits. This was some very new interactions with impact and energy that he needed to remember if he survived. Backing up a few paces, he would begin to look around to see if anyone else had managed to make any headway on an escape method. Which is when he saw Amber disappear with Deo and Sub spoke up about the composition of the floor. Feeling a small sensation as Deo's mind became perceptible for him, Reno would lock eyes with Cynthia before letting a smirk stretch across his face. "As much as I like your accommodations, I think we can find better elsewhere. Toodles!" He shouted, placing a hand on Monique's shoulder and a foot in her shadow as his Reuniclus began to glow pink.
There would be a bright flash as the teleport went off, sending Reno, Ulla, Sol, and Monique to the floor beneath next to where Deo had landed. Nodding to the Luxray hybrid, Reno flashed a much kinder smile. "Thanks. Couldn't have teleported without you here for me to pick up." He told Deo, clapping him on the shoulder with his right hand.
----
Leslie
Watching as the other groups set to work on escaping or demolishing the ground beneath them, Leslie would take a quick breath before holding it in. She was starting to feel the effects of the gas but thankfully she still had enough thoughts in her head to at least formulate something. "Break the floor!" She bellowed, drawing her hammer back again before sending the trick handle back up to its normal position. Watching as the mouths bloomed open, she swung it again at the wall and watched as the teeth on the hammer head dug into the chipped and splintered wall and gave her the anchor point she wanted. Leslie would jump before leveraging the hammer head to dig into the wall more, letting her send herself flying up towards the ceiling. Swinging her hammer up above her head as she began to fall down, Leslie shouted, "Clear way!" It would only be a moment after that she slammed into the floor with her hammer, hoping that the heavy and gravity-assisted impact would be enough to send them through to whatever area was beneath them.

Monique heard the announcement and started furiously pounding the floor, unsure in her allergy-confused state what to do other than to use her "heels" to pierce the surface. Suddenly, she felt a hand on her shoulder, and everything went blank for a moment as a pink glow bathed her vision...
...She rematerialized on the floor below, other Snagems and her Toxicroak coming down the line with her. Bewildered, b***h Deluxe looked around and gathered herself, shaking her hair a bit to get it back straight and putting a hand on her hip. "Whoa whoa what was thaaat?" she called out. Her unusual appearance would be the first clue to people other than her own group that the Fairy allergy had gotten a hold of her. Poloka looked at its Trainer nervously, not sure quite what to think of the new getup.

Reno Vantas There would be a bright flash as the teleport went off, sending Reno, Ulla, Sol, and Monique to the floor beneath next to where Deo had landed. Nodding to the Luxray hybrid, Reno flashed a much kinder smile. "Thanks. Couldn't have teleported without you here for me to pick up." He told Deo, clapping him on the shoulder with his right hand. MoniqueBrie ....She rematerialized on the floor below, other Snagems and her Toxicroak coming down the line with her. Unfortunately for the Snagems in Reno's group, all of the people that went through the floor with him WOULD NOT land in a jaunty little heap at the bottom. The floor was not made of ebonite, however... Atlantis_Darts The cross-shaped barricade looked to split the room below them into similar sections, but if somebody was able to bust it each group would be able to fall down below and potentially escape the gas. Hopefully he found a way to be able to communicate that to the other groups. The cross-shaped Ebonite barricade goes all the way down to the bottom of the floor below like a centralized pillar. So when Reno took the group for their ride, all of them - Sol, Ulla, Monique, and himself impact the wall like a basketball in full flight. Teleportation ostensibly scrambles your molecules and sends them at a rapid speed, so all four of them smash into the barricade as soon as they would pass through, nearest to Deo, and reflect off the wall back into their fourth of the room, but down one floor through the metal that allowed purchase. They were away from the gas, but there was still one... big issue with their escape. Reno's jaunty attempt to put his hand on Deo's shoulder has ended with his artificial hand stuck in the wall on the opposite side, wrist deep into the thick translucent stone and fused directly with the architecture at a molecular level.

Keiko continued slamming into the 'glass', taking the small cracks as indication that shattering the barrier was possible. But as time passed, the gas pouring into the part of the room she was in was starting to have an impact on how quickly her stamina was fading. Eventually, she'd fall to her knees, the energy clones of her arms dissipating as tears began welling in her eyes. This situation the team found itself in really felt like it was the end of them all. She just wanted it to be over, but in the end, she just wasn't strong enough.
Keiko was at an all-time low when her brain registered what Sub had said. The floor wasn't made of any stupid special stones like the barrier separating the only child she had left had been Some people had already gotten through to the other side. There was still hope yet. With a smile, she wiped her eyes, only for her facial features to slip right back into anger. She had to force Frustration to trigger with a roar, but with her aura flaring around her body again, she put all of her remaining energy into breaking the floor open with her fists. She didn't have the energy to use another Frustration-augmented Dizzy Punch, but the strength she had left would have to do.
Yuna and Serena may be gone, but she she had a feeling they were still alive, and that meant that she could NOT afford to die here.

Crystal’s punches would begin to slow, and her eyes would start to dim slightly, as her will to fight sleep was beginning to wane. Especially with how little progress they were making. They had a lot of the bruisers in their group, and even they were only making spiderwebbing cracks in the wall. Maybe it would just be easier to let whatever judgement would come, after they all fell asleep…
Crystal would lean against the wall for a moment, her vision beginning to unfocus, when she started seeing Amber phasing others through the floor. She blinked as her swimming mind would struggle to focus, trying to comprehend things other than sleep. Thankfully, Sub’s yelling would make it abundantly clear- get through the floor. “Right,” the hybrid muttered, slapping herself and shaking her head. Deciding to halt her own breathing, she looked up for a moment, thoughts attempting to come around in her head.
Suddenly, a light platform would form in front of the Solgaleo hybrid, with her stepping on it and keeping a grip on it. As she shot herself into the air, she would hold her breath, wanting to keep as much of her senses as she could for this one last strike. Once she was in position, the platform would flip around and Crystal would launch off of the now underside, bringing her hands together like she was holding an axe or a hammer, slamming them into the same area as Leslie and the others.

Ulla noticed Deo go down the floor as she heard Sub's remark. "You hear that Comfey? Let's have Lucario out for now to-" Before she could even take out a Pokeball, she felt a sudden jolt of space moving. Unbalanced and not knowing what was happening, Ulla flailed around only to be met with slamming into a floor. She groaned as she looked around to see where exactly they were. "Did...Did someone forget about the Ebonite being a thing?" She said as she picked herself up wincing in pain a bit from the collision. "First Papa's mess up. Now this?" She said as she looked around to make sure her group was all okay.
That's when her eyes landed on Reno who had part of his artificial hand. She walked up to him and inspected the arm. "Yeah. I'm not gonna be able to heal that." She said as she noticed Comfey healing any other wounds the team has sustained because of the fall. While her Pokemon was doing that, Ulla looked around trying to figure out what the plan was now. "Well...our guide turns out to be crazy...Now where do we go?"

"Whoa whoa what was thaaat?"
It was a lot more than Monique had first thought. The teleportation suddenly found itself impacted by an obstacle, sending the Zoroark hybrid flying. She went from living being to living pinball, the curves and assets that once helped her make a living serving as useful cushions. With her "wearing" comparatively little, not much was left to the imagination, and Deo or any other bystander would certainly have noticed.
Her D-scent ended with her falling to the floor, bust first, enough to momentarily pierce the allergy-induced illusion but not enough to shatter it completely. She got up after a moment, still dazed between the shuffling of her own brain and the shuffling of her body. Her chest, above all, was sore, having become a natural airbag meeting the cold floor surface.
She looked around the space and was late to seeing Reno, his hand missing. Ulla was already fretting over the site, and her Comfey was floating around providing healing—and more Fairy energy. It wasn't on b***h Deluxe's mind, but that would only keep her in allergy-affected form longer.
"What's goin' on?" she asked them, doing a bit of a pose as she put her hand on her hips.

The sudden blinding impact that Reno got from the failed Teleport to Deo's side was certainly a small touch unexpected. Who would make the exact same room layout right beneath this room with the same walls that had slid up when you could achieve the same effect just by having the entire wall slide up and down as one piece? Either way, they were all now down a floor with an entire solid piece between them and the gas vent. Rubbing his head for a moment with his right hand, the echo of his attempt to thank Deo for giving a small beacon to ping off of made him stare at the hand he had been intending to reach with.
Hearing Ulla pipe up from she had landed, Reno would look over with mild disgruntlement. "With how much Ebonite is here, its not exactly a surprise that there's more in the way. Figured it was worth the chance since I could get a general lineup and with how much Psychic energy you get wreathed in for teleportation, we would bounce off any Ebonite and keep the roof above us to keep the gas out. Not like you can make opposing magnets somehow phase into each other before they repel." Hearing the concern over his arm, Reno would look over to where Ulla was indicating and saw his prosthetic was suddenly sheared halfway up the forearm. Looking over to the wall, he would see the small amount of remains poking out of the wall. ".....okay, might need to review those little dart things Isaac had them add into the arm. Must've screwed with the energy around my arm enough to do....that. Well, it isn't a real Snagem saga without my prosthetic suffering major damage." Reno mused, slowly drawing up onto his feet to begin examining the room. The slime would rapidly condense at the end of the arm, forming into a slime forearm and hand rapidly to replace the obliterated hand. Stopping as he looked over at where Monique was, he blinked before asking, "Um....Miss? Are you Monique or is this someone else currently?"

Reno Vantas Stopping as he looked over at where Monique was, he blinked before asking, "Um....Miss? Are you Monique or is this someone else currently?" "I'm Monique," she began, a dramatic pause before the second and more revelatory part of her intro. "...b***h Deluxe. 'Sup, Reno?" Reno would get a good look at what appeared to be the human form Monique took often, but with her hair turned pink, an outfit he hadn't seen before, and the shiny gold collar around her neck. And depending on how he felt about girls, he might feel he were staring at the hottest Snagem chick ever. Depending on how much he knew about the Fairy allergy, he could continue to be bewildered or recognize that Steel energy might counteract this. But this was only the second time it had truly scrambled her. Unlike the last time, she seemed to have more of a grip on her own name and identity, but this version was like someone had cranked up the Sub Rosa part of her life to 11. Alas, Reno didn't exactly have florins laying around...

Group One:Blizzard120 “All the way to the other side; we need to see the next floor below. Obstagoon easily burrows through the floor, at least as far as going through metal was concerned, giving the whole group passage through and down to the floor below. After a little bit of a drop, they would find themselves in a smaller, similar room, with the gigantic translucent cross splitting the room into quadrants. Ogerpon lands right at Tristen's left as they come down, frowning behind her mask that even despite her best efforts it had done little more than cause the material to bend. The group as a whole did little more than plug the vent temporarily of gas, so they would all be feeling fairly sick still coming out into the fresher air. There was no other way out of this room, and the other four rooms, than an individual singular door leading out into one of Realgam Tower's other rooms. The door being their only real means of progression out of the room would lead into another, larger room, full of tanks and vats. Shrouded figures lingered and floated in the strange-looking liquid, bobbing up and down calmly in suspended homeostasis. The only other door out of this room was on the far end, through the maze of holding canisters and gene vats. Group Two:Espeon_Commander Suddenly, a light platform would form in front of the Solgaleo hybrid, with her stepping on it and keeping a grip on it. TerashiLeonGoken Keiko was at an all-time low when her brain registered what Sub had said. It would only be a moment after that she slammed into the floor with her hammer, hoping that the heavy and gravity-assisted impact would be enough to send them through to whatever area was beneath them. Darts was in the same sorry state as the other three, having been the singular group not to block or otherwise try and halt the progression of gasses. His vision blurred and went wavy as he saw the others attempt to smash and hack at the floor in one desperate Raticate-esque attempt to gnaw themselves out of the trap they found themselves in. His hackles raise, his jacket collar quivering as he gives himself another jolt of Outrage into his arms, joining alongside the others in planting a blow on the base of their cell. The combination of four of Snagem's arguably strongest heavy-hitters sending attacks into it didn't just break the floor, it demolished it, sending cracks zig-zagging across the surface before plummeting them down to the bottom in a heap. There's a 'woosh' as the gas disperses into the open air and out the doorway behind them, giving all four of them a chance to breathe now. "Haaaah.... haaaah...." The Giratina hybrid attempts to suck wind, even though he doesn't need to breathe, finally free of the Ghost-type energies sucking the life force out of them. He manages to crawl over to the dividing glass, seeing Ogerpon's consternation that it couldn't break the surface of the thing before and places a singular golden hand against it, a gesture that Ogerpon reciprocates in turn with the edge of its sleeve. "Go on, then." He says. "We'll catch up with y'all around the bend." There's a conflicting glance at her master before Ogerpon acquiesces, determining him to be in good enough shape to not need her care, and following Blizz and the others off. The gambler sits up, trying to slowly pull himself to his feet. That gas had been no joke, he could feel it caking his insides as he tries to stand, spitting a mouthful of black spittle down on the floor. "Everyone else okay?" There was a singular door awaiting the group, in the exact same fashion as each other quadrant. This room, unlike the rest of the tower so far, was brightly lit - almost blindingly so by comparison to the dimness of the emergency-lighting tinged rest of Realgam they had encountered. It was also massive, with an enormous vaulted ceiling and walls far apart from each other and incredibly empty. The bright white walls, floor, and ceiling were all subdivided in a grid of criss-crossing black lines that served to checkerboard each one of them into even grids of squares. There was one door all the way off at the far side of the room, on the opposite end from them, and there was also a door off to their right, nestled on that wall. Group Three:SubonicXP Sub would watch as his plan was a success, Amber taking Deo and then Wren down. Requiem of Whyspers "Good thing I deeciided to fiill up on cotton before i went through... That could've been bad." He remarked more to himself than Deo as he looked around. "I can help get them both down when she comes back with Sub." He informed the dark-furred man. "That way you don't have to try and catch them both." DeoLux Bingo. A way out. "Sub, I can see through the floor. It is made of something else. So I think the way out is down!" Deo would say. Tending his hands after failing to punch through. The gas was lowered but not completely stopped. "We need a way to communicate to the others." He would also say. Deo's fur was still in a frizz as he was still on edge. However, this might seem hopeful, but at the same time, it could be a trap still. The saying was clear, where there is a will there is a way. Hopefully this is the path to take. To stride forward.... well, down. DragonFang099 When Deo was safe, she went back, using the rope that anchored her to pull herself back up. Group Three makes it through the gas fracas relatively unscathed, with one of the better forms of filtration and a cleanly-executed escape plan to fall to the ground below between Deo's catching and Wren's cushioning assist, they are looking miles better than most of the other groups, with maybe only mild fatigue and a little irritation in their lungs to show for the trap above them. If they wanted to communicate anything to the rest of the group, now was the time otherwise... The room awaiting them coming out of their quadrant of the tower looked like a tunnel at first, with ebonite-coated walls on either side of them as they take their first couple steps in. Eventually, however, the true nature of the room would be in front of them as they reach a wall rather quickly, with two paths to take winding left and right. Veteran Snagems might have a nice flashback to a Silvery version of what was now stretching in front of them - it was a maze, a labyrinth of indeterminable size. But what, oh what, was the minotaur prowling these hallways? Group Four:Reno Vantas ".....okay, might need to review those little dart things Isaac had them add into the arm. Must've screwed with the energy around my arm enough to do....that. Well, it isn't a real Snagem saga without my prosthetic suffering major damage." Reno mused, slowly drawing up onto his feet to begin examining the room. While her Pokemon was doing that, Ulla looked around trying to figure out what the plan was now. "Well...our guide turns out to be crazy...Now where do we go?"This group was also not suffering very many ill-effects of the gas compared to Groups One and Two, just due to Ulla's swift thinking and Reno's quick (though ill-fated) action to get them out of the way of the gas. Minus one prosthetic arm, it seemed like they all could be in worse shape all things considered. As far as where to go, there was only one doorway out of this room. If they had anything they wanted to say to the rest of the team, now was the time as their doorway leads... To something that looked like a plush study. Bookshelves line the walls full of books, an oddly dissonant tonal exchange from the rest of the chintzy and/or robotic nature of the rest of the tower. There were plump couches here and there, cushions looking freshly primed to lie upon and just spend the day reading away. There was a roaring fire in the fireplace, the warmth oddly soothing despite the hot nature of Orre's desert climate. Pictures on the walls highlighted famous events throughout the history of the Orre region, the S.S. Libra prominently featured as it made its way through the waters outside of Gateon Port for example. And despite the otherwise perfectly comfortable and snooze-worthy environment there was one thing dissonant in the middle of all of the cushy luxury. A harsh, jangling ring, easily discernable as that of an old-timey telephone was coming somewhere deeper within the room. Over and over again it rang, as if the caller on the line was not going to take 'no' for an answer. From the doorway, there was no immediate exit to this room on the far wall, if they wanted to find an exit out of here they were going to have to make their way inside.

I made my way down into the hole, but as soon as I landed, I stumbled a bit. It caught me off guard for only a brief second, but I managed to keep myself up right. But then I ended up having to brace myself up against the wall for a second. Apparently with what gas that did make it in the container was enough to get the better of me. Tristen ended up having to do the same when he landed on the floor below but he ended up sliding down the side of the wall and having to sit down. He was wincing quite a bit. “You going to be okay?” I asked.
“I feel like I was in a massive fight already.” Tristen said.
“I’m getting there myself. Blast it.” I said, looking up towards where we came in. I then took a look around, staring in confusion, then realized something. I then walked over and gave a tap of the glass, not even trying to punch my way through like the floor prior. With a sigh, this trap wasn’t over yet. I didn’t even have the words. Didn’t really have the will to make some sort of snark or notion of anger. It didn’t feel it was worth it; I was just…done with this.
“Blizz.” Tristen said, pointing towards the door.
“Ugh…I don’t like the feeling I am getting from there.”
“You can sense something?” Tristen asked.
“No…just…a feeling of foreboding. Everyone, hurry up and get yourself together.” I said to the bunch about me. “This is far from over. Obstagoon, thanks for getting us out of that. Come back for now, okay?” I would recall the Obstagoon back into his Pokeball and stash the Pokeball once again.
Tristen pushed himself back up then gave a couple of slaps amongst his face, trying to do anything to get himself back worked up. He would go over towards the door, with me close behind. Tristen would take a position close by, grabbing the handle and I would take a position myself. Whatever was behind the door, once again I didn’t feel the urge to get ambushed. One…two…three…
Tristen flies the door open and I got an Ice Beam charge at the ready, pointing it towards the door. Nothing crazy yet. I would be the first to step in and look around. As I walked forward, trying to remain on guard in spite of the state I was feeling, I started to take notice what was going on in here. “My God…” I said.
Tristen asked as he started to approach one of the canisters to try to see if he couldn’t tell what was in there. The hybrid couldn’t help but to stare, practically mortified, where he had the feeling of sickness from the gas ended up if albeit temporarily not a factor anymore. “Blizz, I think there are bodies in here...” Tristen said. “What is this?!”
“One of Ein’s playgrounds.” I said to him. “A playground for a god complex. Keep moving. We got to find our way out of here and meet back up with the others.”
“Shouldn’t we be finding stuff to prove our innocence to the regions?” Tristen then asked.
“Survival now, information later. All the information in the world isn’t going to do us any good if we can’t get it out of here. Never mind the fact that I’m betting Cynthia isn’t going to let our escape attempt stand.” I told him.
“We’re going to have to fight her, aren’t we?”
“Frankly, in spite of what we just been through so far, I wouldn’t mind it.” I said. “We got to try to pin her down and see if she got caught up in that mushroom business from before. But I don’t want to go at it alone, admittedly.”
“Never mind that if we do fight her, it’s just going to make us look a lot worse.” Tristen said.
“It can’t be helped. But it’d give us something to investigate if nothing else.” I said back to him.
“I hope so.” A pause out of the teenager as he continued to follow. “Something is also bothering me, though, Blizz. What about Lovrina? Could she be mushroomed too?” Tristen asked.
“Frankly, I am not even sure where she stands in all of this either.” I said. “Incidentally, I finally remembered a little bit about her, now. She was Ein’s basically number one disciple, for a lack of a better term. But even if she was or wasn’t, the fact that she acts all innocent, especially with whatever transgressions she did on Keiko, is beyond me. It could all be an act, maybe. She at least would have knew where all the traps were at and such that Ein had in this place. Maybe manipulating Cynthia as well somehow. Incidentally, for that matter, those ‘deaths’ or ‘missing workers that up and left’. I’m getting suspicions that is not what happened.” I said, taking a close look at one of the canisters.
“You don’t think…” Tristen spoke up, taking another look at the canisters himself.
“I rather not. Come on.” I said, continuing to move forward.
It wasn’t but a moment until Tristen had another thought. “Even if Lovrina and Cynthia is in on this in one way or another, I’m trying to think about what Cynthia was talking about.” Tristen then said.
“About that ‘he’ she referred to.”
“Yeah…” Tristen said. “If what Cynthia says is true, then whoever he was apparently knew Sub about as well as Sub knew himself.”
“And the list of people that I can think of is rather small.” I said. “And one of those people is supposed to not be around anymore. But then, it isn’t like I know Sub that well too in spite of being around him for a good chunk of a decade.”
“It makes me wonder how many people Sub has actually upset before bringing the team together.”
“Who the hell knows.” I told him.
