Aile had an uncomfortable look when Aden mentioned Aile having a good amount of history. Maybe not as much with the people mentioned, sans Xerosic from more recent events, bu there was still plenty of history with her and Flare.
That uncomfortable look would turn into a frown when he mentioned that he didn’t remember much in Kalos. That… shouldn’t be right? Even if he wasn’t there for some of it, shouldn’t he have still heard of the things happening with Snagem there? She would continue listening to Aden as they were walking, growing more and more concerned. Finally, shaking her head, she’d chime in when Aden was done talking. “Yess, you should not feel bad about Malva, but that would go without saying even if she wasn’t a piece of crap human. But let’s bring it back, so you’re saying that flying pink spaghetti monster stole your damned memories, and anything you learned with it?! Arceus. And here I thought just seeing everyone else as shades of my past as bad… I mean, considering what I was willing to do to them, yeah, that’s still bad, but that’s almost nothing like losing parts of yourself.” She shuddered, not enjoying that sort of thought. Then she remembered the deal Uxie offered her back in old Sinnoh. Aile was willing to do something similar just to run away from her past. The only reason why she didn’t was because of the others. It wouldn’t have been fair to the others, the ones with her or the ones she would have failed by not retrieving the item from Uxie. If the deal didn’t involve anyone else getting affected… there might have been a different outcome.
Those memories would have been replaced, though, not just erased. Aden’s just… disappeared into the aether, effectively. “Anyways… Please don’t do something that reckless again. You might have gotten lucky that time. Who knows if you’ll be lucky again.” For now, though, Aile was indeed going to leave the whole Flare thing alone. Maybe if it came up again in conversation, she would. However that moment was- Was that area of the ground just inching forward? Aile stared at it again, but didn’t see any movement, so with a shrug, she continue on toward the Pool.
After the two had passed, the apparent not moving ground did actually move again, turning around to reveal a pair of yellow eyes. The molten slug blinked for a moment, then turned around and went back to doing… whatever it was doing. Which just seemed to be inching around, checking near rocks for some worthy enough to be food

I chuckled a bit at the thought, but I wasn't going to let it linger. "That's a nice thought, but we've already had our honeymoon," I said bluntly. I wanted to point out that Yuna was conceived on our honeymoon, but I didn't want to make Keiko homesick and ruin the whole point of this trip. "A convenience store sounds good. I could use some breakfast," Keiko spoke up. I immediately felt a pang of guilt for not saving an apple for her from earlier, but I didn't bring it up. I didn't need to. Sub would likely point that out on his own. Besides, the one apple I ate didn't really fill me up, so sharing a meal with Keiko would be nice.

"I'm not sure if it stole or erased them or what. Apart from the moves, there hasn't been much rhyme or reason. I can remember everything about the traveling around Paldea I was doing with Crystal and Reno for example, except for anything about that because I've never managed any of that proper. To me. The travels through Johto, I know I fought the gyms and have the badges to show for it. But for all the remarks about how much I trained with Blizz during that, I'm not convinced we ever did. What else... oh, I can still remember the time traveling I was doing right before and during the Ziton encounter. Psychic ability itself seems to be fine too, I can still kinda do stuff with that. I guess kinda like a motor skill? It's shaky outside of telepathy with those two, though. Or Cera, if her abilities aren't picking up the slack." Throughout that time, Aile's remarks about his recklessness hadn't fully clicked in his mind, and he wasn't sure what to say once it did. He couldn't guarantee his own safety if the Ziton appeared again, hell, he wasn't sure anyone could. Even the stronger members struggled, including the few that's actually dealt with the thing before. What if it showed up again? What if they fell trying to protect him or anyone else in its sights? What if he couldn't protect himself, let alone another? ...Was this what that other reality's Blizz had going through his mind? Maybe not the same fashion, but insight was gained and unsettling all the same as he recalled what he and the other two psychics saw... "I'm not sure I can guarantee I won't," he finally said, stopping when he saw Aile stare at the ground. Was something on the ground? It didn't look like anything was there... he'd finish his thought as the two resumed. "But I can guarantee I won't without a good reason."

“I guess that would make sense… but what kind of apple would do that? If it’s tart and sweet for the other evolutions.” Tsuki said back before walking over to someone who was picking apples with a Sentret partner holding a basket of them. He asked about the kinds of apples they grew in Kitakami and if they had anything special for the Dipplins that seemed to be almost exclusively native to the area. The worker, a short woman who appeared to be in her mid twenties, answered that it was actually the sweetened syrup they made from a mix of their apple varieties and coating their apples in that syrup that caused Applins to undergo that evolution. They were even able to evolve further- supposedly at least. She hadn’t seen that happen in person.
Having one mystery solved only for another to arise, Tsuki turned his attention back to Clare. “Well, I’m good here unless you have anything else you wanna check before the Crystal Pool you mentioned?” He asked. Snapdragon, meanwhile, seemed to be making himself comfortable by eating any fallen apples he could find lying on the ground. The dragon’s head lashed out of his syrupy shell and ate anything that looked tasty faster than someone would expect if they knew him. Tsuki scratched the back of his head, wondering that if he did evolve again would he be able to keep up with his feeding requirements.
“Oh also, mind if I ask if you’re some kind of hybrid if you are one? I don’t wanna be rude, but I’m just curious!” Tsuki asked, the sixteen year old waving his hands in a slight panic when he thought that that came out wrong.

Aile gave a long sigh, simply shrugging at Aden’s response. “Well then, let’s hope that if that’s needed again, I’m not the one setting things in motion. Arceus, that day sucked hard. Feels like it was filled with so many bad decisions.” Shaking her head, the pair would finally arrive at the first triangle shaped gate, which made Aile tilt her head. It reminded her of the torii gate back at the first rest stop, but clearly not the same shape. and there was a nearby sign with directions, pointing them to two different landmarks, one of them being the Crystal Pool they were looking for. Looking up the path, she’d see another one of those gates, deciding that this is just how their torii gates look. Shrugging again, she’d turn to Aden. “So, shall we? Seems like we’re at our destination.”

"Hello! Here to pick some apples? Pick a bushel full and you'll get a dozen apples for your time!" The local informed Rachel as she approached. Once she got confirmation that Rachel was interested in the deal the trainer would be handed by the local woman a wooden container for the apples to go into, a bucket of sorts. The amount of apples that bucket could contain was a 'bushel'. How many apples constituted a bushel? Roughly one hundred and twenty medium sized apples so more or less than that depending on sizes. So that meant if Rachel filled it up she got to keep about ten percent of what she picked. That wasn't too bad considering this was more of a thing you did for fun and to help the locals and not an actual job. "Just be cautious of Formantis and Spinarak hiding in the trees. They typically run at the first sign of being spotted by humans but rarely they will attack, just keep a head's up. Also you might encounter Sewaddle was well but they are harmless. Oh and leave the apples with a worm in them, those belong to the wild Applin. We try not to bother them." The woman informed Rachel and with that she was released into the orchard to pick to her heart's content. While Rachel was picking however she would spot to somewhat familiar faces, or at least recognized them and their affiliation. It was Clare and Tsuki, members of Team Snagem, both together visit the orchard of Apple Hills like she was. From the looks of it they seemed prepared to leave Apple Hills already. Will Rachel see what they are up to or just go about her apple picking? Conversely Tsuki and Clare would spot the somewhat familiar Rachel, picking apples. At the very least they would note she came on the bus with them, as a Snagem. Sub would follow Darts up to Peachy's, finding himself standing in front of the counter. While most convenience stores had the products inside lined up in aisles Peachy's was more like a stand, an open air convenience store with some products just out in front of the counter, on it, or held behind the counter and had to be requested. It was nothing like a typical PokeMart but it was cute, different. As the Dark One looked over their selection of ice cream, peering into the cooler the man behind the counter pointed out to him, he would hear Darts call out for his attention. "Hm? What's up?" Sub asked as he turned towards Darts, seeing from a distance something he was poking and decided to approach and get a better look at what Darts was asking him about. Now closer he could get a better look at what Dart was inquiring about. It was purple and sort of tear drop shaped with two little appendages on its front, a large black circle on its front as well. Darts' finger would sink in slightly as he poked it, indicating that it was somewhat soft yet firm enough to not be penetrated, at least not easily. Noting that Sub leaned in and gave it a sniff to glean more information. "Smells fruity, like berries...in fact...Pecha Berries? Maybe? I've never seen anything like this. Is it a Pecha Berry scent plushie or something?" He asked no one in particular as he pondered aloud. "Hey! Peachy! What is this thing?" Sub called out to the shop keep, the man acting like he didn't hear him as he rummaged through products, moving them around, stacking them and so forth. Sub just grumbled slightly before turning back to Darts. "Either he isn't the Peachy or I'm being ignored. Oh well, they can keep their weird dusty berry plushie thing, isn't even that interesting anyways." Sub said with a scoff. "Ter, Keiko, grab something to eat and let's shove off, see what else we can't find." The old woman perked up as Crystal spoke to her, the elderly lady initially glancing around confused as if she couldn't see who had spoke to her only for her to eventually lay her eyes on Crystal and chuckle softly to herself. "Oh! Sorry my dear, didn't see you there. My eyes aren't what they used to be- my, what an interesting outfit you have on. A costume for the festival? You must have worked really hard on that dear. Some sort of guardian spirit?" She asked as she squinted, trying her best to get a good look at Crystal but failing. "Hm? Oh, these are mochi of course dear. You must not be from around here if you're asking that question!" She said with a hearty laugh. "They are a Kitakami signature dish. They are rice cakes that are often flavored or filled with berries of all kinds. Pokemon and humans both love them! In fact some people make special mochi to empower their Pokemon similar to those Vitamin things you see on the TV commercials. Here..." She said, approaching the shrine and took a green mochi off the plate before turning back to Crystal and handing it to her. "Try a Clever Mochi, good for concentration." She informed Crystal. Once Crystal took a bite of the mochi she would find it bitter and tangy but it soon leveled out and sort of dissolved into a pleasant smooth consistency, the bitterness fading away to allow her to pick up the hidden sweet berry notes. It was a roller coaster of flavors and textures that certainly made one focus more. "What do you think?"

"Savory? Hm...let me see..." The man said in response to Monique's request for something other than ice cream. After looking around he'd return with a few things and set them on the counter for Monique to see. "I have instant ramen, onigiri, veggie cups, and a few non-sweet varieties of mochi made fresh this morning. Any of this tickle your fancy, miss?" He asked Monique. While Monique originally waited for the man to return she spoke to Perrin, inquiring about her Growlithe. "Bud here is from Sinnoh, born and raised in the Mt. Coronet range, primarily in Celestic Town! However if you mean where this variety originates he is an ancient Hisuian breed. Apparently Growlithe in what is now Sinnoh used to all look like this! Pretty neat, huh? Time sure can change things, can't it?" Perrin said to Monique. Perrin would shake her head in response to Freth's question, answering fairly fast. "No. Some villagers might say otherwise but there is no concrete proof that the ogre has ever been spotted again...or rather ever. It's just folktales so who knows if such a thing really exists and it's not just a story to scare children away from the mountain." The woman responded to Freth, making some food points in that moment. "I heard it from a nice old man that lives with his wife and their two grandchildren up north in town. Last house at the end of the road in the neighborhood, yellow building, can't miss it. They were really nice to be despite me just showing up on their doorstep so if you'd like to visit them I'm sure they wouldn't mind. Might even like to see a kid, what with their grandchildren away at school. As for the picture, sure! Got a number I can text it to?" Once Tristen gave her his SNAG's number, or rather the public one as the device had two lines, a public and a secure one for Snagem only, Perrin would send him the picture of the cavern she took. "There you go!" She declared happily. "Either way, I'm going to go head up to Kitakami Hall and take some pictures of the decorations in daylight. It was nice meeting you three, hope to see you all this evening at the festival. Say bye Bud!" Perrin said, her dog barking at the three Snagems happily before they both turned around and walked off, heading up the trail leading to Kitakami Hall. With Perrin gone Freth, Tristen, and Monique would spot Sub, Darts, Keiko, and Terashi walk up to Peachy's, the four of them standing at the counter just as the many behind it was busily looking for more food selections for Monique, were she to not want those. Sub hadn't noticed them yet. "L-Lapras? Oh...okay...that's an interesting choice. Aren't those Pokemon endangered though? Never mind, sorry, I'm being rude. Lapras it is. And you said Onix, correct? Good choice good choice..." The woman said as she scribbled some things on some papers and soon stashed them away after. "Okay, all set and signed up for Ogre Oustin'. If you'd like she have a practice course set up just off of the trail of Reveler's Road. You're more than welcome to go practice with your Pokemon. You'll find a bunch of wooden practice targets with pebbles sitting on them in lieu of berries. Besides that be sure to return here by seven o' clock so you can get ready to compete."

I smirked at Sub's plight, but suppressed the laughter that was trying to follow it. I picked up a cereal bar for myself as I'd eaten something a couple of hours earlier while Keiko grabbed a medium size bag of pretzels and a small bottle of milk. She hoped the pretzels would fill her stomach, and the milk was there to counteract the salt pretzels usually had on them.
Once she had her breakfast in her hands, she looked at the plushie Sub had scorned. "It does smell nice," she pointed out, not needing to put it up to her nose to detect its scent. "I wonder if Yuna would like it." I smirked at that. It was nice that she could think of Yuna without wanting to go back home and check on her. I wasn't going to push my luck by talking about her, but the plushie...
"Only one way to find out," I shrugged. I held my cereal bar in my mouth - I hadn't opened it yet and my saliva wouldn't hurt the wrapper - and opened my wallet, paying for Keiko's and my food plus the plushie. I trusted Sub to be able to pay for his own food, and I didn't know Darts well enough to offer to pay for him, so I didn't offer. I'd pick up Sub's financial slack if he needed it, but given that he payed us in literal gold coins, I couldn't imagine him asking for financial help, especially with nothing as minor as buying from a convenience store.

Tristen managed to get the picture on his SNAG, taking note of the information that Perrin had as well. “Okay, thank you!” Tristen said. “See you at the festival!” he then said to her as she left with her Hisuan Growlithe. Tristen would stare at the picture for a couple of seconds, and couldn’t help but to wonder a few things.
“Something wrong?” Freth asked him.
“I don’t know.” Tristen said. “Maybe its just something that you kept telling me. You know, all the history stuff you had me to read up on before going to Paldea. You know, taking stuff for granted and stuff. Man, no wonder Ms. Raifort seems to love me right now…”
“Oh, really? Well, glad to be of service.” Tristen said, crossing her arms back under her wings, wanting to give a rather wry grin. “So, is there is something you want to investigate?”
“I don’t know. I don’t know how much time we still have before the festival starts.” Tristen said. “I kinda want to go find this cave in this picture to see if there is anything out of the ordinary. I mean, we can’t honestly say that no one has went up there to actually go see, right?”
“Area Zero.” Freth then said, rather deadpan.
“Never mind.” Tristen said, instantly regretting his words. “At any rate, I need to figure out something. Its not like I can stay here forever and I kinda don’t want to miss the festival either.” Tristen then perked up, seeing other Snagems in the area. Sub and Darts in particular, there was also Keito and Terashi for that matter. Maybe they found something out as an aside thing like Perrin did. “Hey everyone!” Tristen said, walking off towards the group. Freth would hover over alongside, a bit curious as to what was going on.
“So, how has been Kitakami for all of you?” Freth asked no one in particular.

Even though he doesn't have a visible nose, Darts caught a whiff of the deep fruity scent, very odd for a plushie but he thinks little of it as the rest of the group comes ambling up, turning his attention away from Ter's attempted purchase of the thing. "Heya Freth," he answers, not taking time to nab any of the food. he didn't technically NEED to eat, and nothing was catching his eye anyhow. "Well.... some of the locals are going to be very disappointed when Sub and I don't form some kind of erotic writhing knot later on." His tone clearly indicated he was joking in some way, but he was going to leave that up to her own imagination to figure out. "What's that you were saying about Area Zero?" He nods to Tristen as the kid approaches too, noting how much bigger the hybrid had gotten since he had last seen him, almost like he was a bit more of an... adult in some way. That, or Darts was just getting old...

"Time sure can change things, can't it?" Perrin told Monique at the end of her line.
"...Um... Yeah." That line hit closer to home than expected. In the early 2070s, of course—at least her version of it—Kitakami had also fallen to the Smog. It was probably a Guzzlord breeding ground or something. She wanted to reply, but her attention was taken back by the shopkeeper, who presented his wares. Monique was a little disappointed. What did the people in this town eat when they didn't want to or couldn't cook? Mossui seemed to be about the size of New Po, maybe a little bigger, and even New Po had more food options despite being in a time of abundance. This place had to be more of a backwoods than they let on, she thought. A meal at whatever that bar-and-Pokémon Center was in Lacunosa seemed good right now, and that wasn't the most exciting place to eat.
"Alright, fine, I'll have the onigiri, just have to hope the festival has good food." Monique paid for two pre-wrapped, triangular-shaped onigiri—one filled with tuna and the other with salmon. She turned around to see that Peachy's had drawn more of a crowd. The woman with the Hisuian Pokémon had left without giving her a chance to say goodbye, but a number of Snagems had turned up—Sub, Darts, Ter, and Keiko—and several of them were examining with interest a plush about the size of her Castform. She leaned in for a look just as she was unwrapping the tuna onigiri, but the smell of berry that wafted from the area was unpleasantly mingling with her snack after she took the first bite. Yuck. It was so offputting that she decided to step far away and watch from a safer distance for her olfactory system. Good thing there isn't a Tuuna Berry or something.
"Oh gosh," Monique muttered to herself. "Saguaro gave me an assignment about festival food." She'd been so wrapped up in the trip and the logistics and having all these Snagems with her and whatnot that she'd failed to think about the assignment that ostensibly made this trip possible. She had to write about the food at the festival. "I better get going." Luckily, with the festival in town, there was no missing the destination or the way to get there. And she had a handheld snack for the walk up Reveler's Road.

[Infernal Pass -> Crystal Pool] "Considering everything you said about after the encounter, I'm surprised Dad and Reno weren't practically shoving you out the door to come out here," Aden remarked. "Honestly, the worst part of my own contribution to those ideas is the whole energy thing and constantly questioning if I don't recall something because I actually forgot or because it was erased. Aside from the moves, I'm... well, it sucks, but I can learn them again. Or even learn different ones than what I supposedly knew... huh." Stopping for a second at the gate, he'd be reminded of the one from before too. This one was still elaborate in its own right, but more... plain, in a way. It awoke more curiosity from him, another reminder that maybe he should've seen more of the countryside like this. Either for the first time or the second first time. "...yeah, let's. Wonder what this gate's for, though, it can't be the same as the last one." --- [Kitakami Hall] "Er, she is, but..." Cera felt a bit bad after the comment, having to admit one didn't exactly see Lapras all that often. But what was she supposed to do, ride on a Joltik? She dwarfed that poor bug even when she wasn't transformed. "Don't worry, I take really good care of her and I'll make sure she's safe. And thanks, the practice sounds good. You coming too, Leslie, or...?" Knowing what she had in mind, hopefully the people here wouldn't be too upset about any potential aftermath. If they were, well, the trip was short and there'd be plenty of time to chill out over it.

Tsuki the Lunar Wind “Oh also, mind if I ask if you’re some kind of hybrid if you are one? I don’t wanna be rude, but I’m just curious!” Tsuki asked, the sixteen year old waving his hands in a slight panic when he thought that that came out wrong. Clare listened quietly as Tsuki went and asked about his Pokemon, nodding as he returned. "Unless you want to pick some apples? I hear the locals will let you keep some if you help them with the harvest?" They replied to Tsuki's inquiry regarding whether they were done or not. "Oh..." They'd looked around as they said that and noticed Rachel, the girl who had introduced herself to them at the bus station in Cerulean City. "I seem to remember her saying she had joined the team recently... I wonder if she'd like to join us?" They wondered aloud, interrupted from their wonderings when Tsuki asked about their state as a hybrid. "Oh. Um... yes, I'm a hybrid." They replied with a nod, though they looked confused. "I remember my species comes from somewhere in Ultra Space now but I can't remember what it's called...Or exactly where it comes from..." They admitted. "So I'm not even sure if it's a species that's known in this world or not. That's part of why I'd like to visit the Crystal Pool. Someone back at the academy mentioned a Pokemon called Glimmet tend to show up in places where large crystal structures form and there's supposed to be a huge one in the Crystal Pool that it got it's name from." They continued, pulling the school pamphlet out of their pocket and showing Tsuki the single picture included of the crystalline water, though there was a bright reflection on the surface of the water that obscured whatever was below the surface. "I'm hoping to catch one and see if it might be the right species." They explained their reasoning. "Supposedly, it has the same types as me, so I'm actually feeling quite hopeful to get a real answer to that question, finally."

Leslie would immediately fall in line behind Cera to start on the march towards the practice area. "Oh I am absolutely not missing out on seeing how you are going to pilot a Lapras across the plains. Plus I wanna make sure I get the general technique down for using the hammer for this. Would hate to end up sending the berries for a home run drive by accident in the actual thing." Leslie said, giving a little shake with her hammer as she mentioned the bludgeon. It was so nice that everyone was cool with her packing it around here, most places someone would be having a fit over the child holding anything that could be considered a weapon.

Crystal smiled and nodded, maybe a slight bit awkwardly when she was asked if she was suppposed to be dressed up as a guardian spirit. “Yeah, something of the sort.” At least she wanted to be a guardian of some kind. She’d take it, though, at least she wasn’t being vilified. That was always a risk when coming to more isolated places.
Her ears perked up when she heard the treats were called mochi. “Mochi? I’ve… heard of them, in general, but never actually seen them.” She continued to listen to the elderly woman as she explained them and their benefits. That was certainly interesting, and probably rather nice. More organic ways of improving your Pokemon than popping them full of pills. Tastier, too, probably. The hybrid’s ears would shoot straight up in surprise when the woman would go and grab a mochi from the offering plate. “Oh! You didn’t need— Ah, well, if you insist…” She’d accept the mochi with both hands and a bow, bringing it up to her mouth to try.
Crystal would feel mildly awkward as she took a modest bite of the intended offering, letting it sit in her mouth for a moment to get a full understanding of the taste. The initial bitterness hit her like a punch, her tail jolting up as she couldn’t completely hide the displeasure of the initial flavor hitting her tongue. It reminded her of unsweetened matcha, but with an added tanginess, like maybe some sort of citrus rind that she couldn’t identify, and it was something her tongue wasn’t terribly used to now. However, her tail would begin to relax and sway slightly as the bitterness started to fade out, replaced with a more well rounded flavor and an added smoothness as the berry flavor came in. She could see how this could help with concentration, if you had to focus and keep on with the mochi to get all of the different flavors out of it. “It’s certainly something. Not bad at all. The bitterness caught me off guard, but works rather nicely with the filling,” She replied, with a finger to her lips. “I can understand how this can be good for concentration. Thank you very much for giving me one!” She smiled back again, giving another bow to the woman. “Outside of your offering, which I do not want to take more from, is there somewhere else one could get these mochi?” She might have a new treat to replace malasada in a pinch. Which might not be a bad thing.
