Salem's forehead was nearly split open from the elbow, stunning him further and making his body go limp for a moment! The conflicted fans in the arena both booed and cheered as Nuke moved Salem towards the apron!

Nuke looked out at the crowd and noticed some of the jeers, and for a moment his neck twitched a little as he contemplated his actions and the reaction that he had just got. He shook it off and, instead of taking Salem in to the ring, he attempted a second back drop on to the apron!

Salem was coherent, but not capable - helpless to fight back Nuke from executing his brutal plans! Back dropped onto the apron, Salem rolled once more off the edge, clutching his spine as his fans voiced their concerns!

Nuke was salivating at these opportunities, the darker side of him clearly still within him, ready to strike and start wearing down his opponents. After all, he did it against Drako and pulled out the victory.
Knowing that the ref was somewhere in the ring counting them out, Fusion rolled quickly in and then out of the ring to break the count. He looked to pick up Salem, knowing that he wasn't able to fight back much..

Salem was out of sorts a bit, barely paying attention to the count before Nuke reset it, and brought him to his feet! But as he did so, "Showtime" showed some life and kooked to headbutt Nuke hard, trying not to go quietly into that good night!

As he rolled back out of the ring, Nuke had looked to continue his control of the match, and methodically pick apart Salem until he got the win. What he wasn't expecting was the solid skull of Showtime hitting his, knocking the sense out of him for a moment and almost causing him to lose his balance.
Fusion shook his head from the pain and, perhaps a little stupidly, aimed a retaliating headbutt back at Salem!

The crowd popped for Salem's headbutt, the collision causing Nuke to step back a bit and collect himself! But the Human Reactor fired back with a headbutt of his own, causing "Showtime" to stumble! Getting his marbles in a good enough pile with a shake of the head, Croft would counter with another hammering headbutt!

Nuke smirked as his headbutt connected, feeling a little less pain than the one that connected with him originally. But Salem fired back with a second crack, sending Nuke stumbling back a step and only standing on his feet due to holding on to the ring apron.

Salem had backed Nuke into the ropes with his retaliatory headbutt, but "Showtime" didn't intend to let up, despite the ringing in his ears! Charging forward, Salem would slam his forehead into Nuke's, attempting to bash brains with the legend until his skull split open if he had to, intent on both winning this match and giving the fans a good fight!

Nuke felt an immense searing pain as Salem followed up with yet another headbutt, the force of which sent him hurtling backwards and stumbling awkwardly through the ropes, hitting the ring apron and rolling across the mats the outside.
Between the strikes earlier in the match plus the headbutts just now, Nuke's concussion felt like it was coming back. He struggled to get to his feet, having to grip the announcing table on the way.

The crowd saw common as Nuke stumbled through the ropes from the headbutt, but it was Salem who'd been busted open, his forehead split as he staggered back with blood coming down his face! The fans were through the roof for this opening fight, but even the referee had to step in here, approaching Salem to inspect his cut and condition before he'd allow "The Show" to go on!

JR: Its starting to wind down a bit here. Salem is bleeding and the referee is checking to make sure he can continue while Nuke isn't looking too good on the outside here in front of us.
Adrian: Oh, look, i think i see a gnat.
With that, Adrian grabs his cane and while the referee is held up with Salem, swings and looks to bash Nuke across the head with it. Just to dispel any doubt about that good ol' concussion

Nuke started to get to his feet at the announcing table, right before he felt a weird mix of a searing but numbing pain to the top and back of his head. He dropped back down to his knees, his legs wobbly even at this point, barely able to keep his balance on all fours.
The crowd who noticed, and those at home, let out a hellacious jeer. Some looked like they wanted to throw drinks at Adrian, others were hurling abuse at him.
From Salem being split open, however, the ref hadn't seen a thing at all!

JR: What the hell was that for?
Adrian: I told you there was a gnat. Had to squash it.
King: Haha, I love it. Take that, you gnat!
JR: You better hope Nuke doesn't remember that.
Adrian: Concussions are tricky things, JR. Maybe he should have recovered before coming back

Salem and the referee were oblivious to the outside interference, the official more concerned with the cut leaking blood from Salem's forehead! "Showtime" repeatedly waived the ref off, though, insisting he could continue! Getting up and turning towards the ropes, the referee started to count, noticing Nuke still down by the announce table!
