Nuke took a second to beat his chest with his right fist, raising it in the air to a massive cheer from the crowd. He smirked and turned to walk towards Drako, looking to pull him away from the ropes and back towards the center of the ring.

Drako was ever so close to the ropes when he finds himself pulled back to the center of the ring, leaving him at the mercy of the returning legend for the moment

Nuke looks out at the crowd and smiles, it's the tide turning by his own accounting here. He goes to lock the head of Drako, and then slam him down with a Snap Suplex right in the middle of the ring.

up and over again, this time with a snap suplex and Drako's back hits the mat hard. The champion certainly seems to have lost control of the match as he remains down on the mat

Looking to increase the pressure even further, Nuke used to be one to get on the top of a turnbuckle and put on a high-flying move. But instead he moves to the lower part of Drako's body, looking to turn him on his back and then put in a standing Ankle Lock!

Drako soon finds himself caught in an ankle lock, which a large portion of the crowd is happy to see. It's very hard to live up to the name Soaring Dragon when one is grounded, and by the amount of pain the ankle lock is causing, the champion may be grounded for a while

So this was the point where Nuke saw his chance, the Ankle Lock was fully in and Drako was left writhing on the mat in an attempt to get out of it. He would keep that locked in for a moment and let out a war cry, getting another big rally from the crowd.
At this point several people got on their feet, wondering if they were about to see the World Heavyweight Champion lose!?

the referee is of course asking if Drako wants to submit and the champion vehemently shakes his head no. His head falls to the mat, not due to loss of consciousness but a reflex as he tries to find some way out of the hold. A few moments later, he raises his head again and begins to claw his way across the mat, trying to pull himself to the ropes

Nuke has the lock in tight, but the pure strength from the reigning Champion is nothing to scoff at, as he slowly starts to crawl towards the ropes. Both men had given their all tonight, and the fans really had no idea either way who was going to pick up the victory.
Knowing that eventually Drako would get to the ropes, Nuke had another plan. He keeps hold of the ankle and drops to the ground, wrapping his legs around the targeted leg of Damone and just starts wrenching away at the ankle!

the pain increases, much to the chagrin of the champion and stops him in his tracks for the moment. the fans that have turned on him are on their feet, hoping the champion will tap out. Unfortunately for them, Drako has no intention of doing so. He forces himself to continue pulling them both across the ring, trying desperately to reach the ropes

The absolute sheer will, strength and ferocity of the World Heavyweight Champion has meant that even with the full Ankle Hold in place, Drako was slowly but surely dragging himself towards the ropes.
Now only inches away, Fusion wrenched even more and then.. released the hold. Quickly moving to his feet, he goes to drag Drako back towards the center of the ring.

almost to freedom, sweet relief from the constant twisting to his ankle. Before he reaches the ropes, the pain is gone. confused, Drako attempts to push himself up on his arms, only for Nuke to drag him back towards the center of the ring. Drako pushes himself up onto one leg hopping up and attempting an enziguiri to the back of Nuke's head

The enziguiri connects and Nuke stops for a moment, there is an uneasiness to his footing.. and then he drops down to one knee, holding the back of his head from the kick!

Drako's leg is weak, he needs a way to put Nuke down quickly. He pushes himself up to a knee. Resolving himself to try to finish this properly, he forces himself up all the way, limping. It's likely that by the time he reaches Nuke the legend will be on his way vertical, so he would attempt to kick him in the gut to drop him with the Raining Fire

This looked like it, Drako was going to hit Raining Fire and take the victory!
The gut kick catches Nuke who doubles over.. but quickly rolls backwards, trying to catch Drako with a quick roll-up - and as the ref comes over to count, he will plant both feet on the bottom rope for leverage!
