Mama Noezal sat back contentedly. "A fine question," she approves with a nod. Then she leans forward and holds out her hand. "And what is the answer to such a fine question worth to you, little one?"
“I don’t own much that I can part with at the moment; however, I may have something of value if I succeed in returning to my true form. Dragon scales have magical properties. Would they be of interest to you?” Dark unties a skull charm from his belt. “Not worth as much, but could be used as collateral until I can deliver the scales.” He places the charm in her hand. “Will this be sufficient?”
Mama inspects the skull charm and sets it aside. "Since we are dealing with promises more than an immediate exchange, I will take in addition to two dragon scales the promise of a quest fulfilled at my discretion." She smiles and adds, "It may be dangerous but it will not be evil."

“If it’s a dangerous quest, all the more reason I hope I return to my original form.” Dark nods. “Deal.”

Very well. The knowledge and skill you seek can be found with the Arch Wizard Archibald. Be sure to approach him with respect and flattery, as he is quite vain and self-important, but he is also powerful and skillful and knowledgeable. It wouldn't hurt to bring him a gift, as well. Good luck, my dear. I look forward to seeing you in your true dragon splendor!"

Dark recalls a notice back in Central City indicating the Wizard was offering a reward for certain items. Perhaps he should look around Chantilly Faire to see if he could purchase one of the items - such an item would do well as a gift.
“Thank you for the cookie and the advice, Mama Noezal. I will return to fulfil the payment and reclaim my charm.”
Leaving the tent, Dark then takes a look at the nearby vendors, hoping to find one of the potion ingredients.

Mama Noezal nods in acknowledgement as he leaves. Once in the open air, bustling with busy folk, Dark soon realizes that anything and everything is on sale here at Chantilly Faire. Roll a d6 to see what of the items he remembers from the list he sees first for sale:
Terry growls having missed the troll and what was worse, the troll didn't seem to notice.
Your choices are pretty much the same. You can roll a d4 again with the same outcome possibilities, or you can retreat from the scene with no one the wiser.
Terry thought, "Well that time I hit him, but he still chooses to ignore me." Then Terry decides to try and bite the troll on the leg to get his attention.

Something shimmers in the breeze and catches Dark’s attention as he passes a stall. He steps back, searching the items on display for what caught his eye. His gaze settles on the platinum strands the vendor has elegantly entwined in their hair. Several slim rectangular boxes on the table also contain the platinum strands.
“Hello. Are those Pegasus Tail Hairs by any chance?” Dark inquires.

So the event is over. I really enjoyed it playing with you all! I was hoping to do a similar thing during the Summer Solstice event in June and my question is should we pick up where we left off, continue in the Games subforum between now and then, or stop here and start a new adventure in June?

Gaia ate my quote notice and renamed me. blaugh Wish there was an easy way to mass quote users. BetterGaia extension has an option in the forums, but if I remember correctly, it doesn’t work in guilds.
I’m good with whatever you end up deciding. Would love to finish the activity in the games subforum.

I'm SURE that was my typo. I'm so sorry. But glad you're continuing with us!
So everyone seems ok with just continuing on for now, and maybe starting a new adventure in the June event. That said, prizes are going out for "up to this point" and I'll "unlink" the steps up to the last one taken.

Roll a d4. If you roll a 1, you stumbled on a rock, falling flat on your face, and he still doesn't even seem to notice, but now you have one injury. If you roll a 2, you stumbled, injuring yourself, but he hears you and turns to you, a little startled. If you roll 3, you bite a mighty bite, but did so little damage the troll ignores it, continuing to advance on his original quarry, dragging you with him. On a 4 you hurt him and he turns to face this new opponent.
