"Ah, then you'll be even cuter!" Reiner responded brightly to her comment about blushing. Even though she certainly couldn't appreciate cuteness as much as he could, since she somehow didn't find Sir Octo-Leg cute, she was still herself certainly one of the cutest. "Think? I know I can!" He responded confidently, knowing her weight would be practically nothing. For someone whose strength was often underestimated, he was a lot stronger than he appeared! Certainly not as strong as Solaris, or especially their father, but much more than most would believe. He was trained by both after all, along with his mother and Constantine. "Hmm... Forest or jungle--what's the difference again? I wonder if I've ever been to a jungle..." He pondered to himself while hanging there upside down. He had to think to himself about how cute her little surprised squeak was in response to him pulling her up so effortlessly. "Well, hello! You're even cuter up close!" He responded jovially. "Oh, I'm not that strong--you're just simply very light! I'm no match for my father or Solaris, but you haven't seen my full strength yet either. Would you like to?" He gave her that same steady smile, before glancing out to the view. "Yes, it's quite impressive. You have to learn the forest in and out to live here--it would be easy to get lost if you aren't careful. Still, quite a stunning view. isn't it?" He paused a moment, before Ariel would feel her face turned, her gaze brought back to his golden eyes. "...Though it's not nearly as beautiful as you are." He said in a slightly deeper voice than normal, beginning to lean towards her slowly... before placing a quick kiss on her cheek. "Heh, how was that? Not bad, right? I thought the only thing this picturesque scene was missing was some cheesy flirting! Probably for the best Tina isn't here, or we'd have too much!" He said, laughing off his silly little joke as he turned back to face the view. ...Though if she was astute enough, she might notice the coloration on his cheeks, or that his heartbeat had quickened quite considerably. Maybe it wasn't as much of a joke as he made it out to be!

Ariel found herself giggling, though her cheeks had become a little deeper in color, just as she said. It couldn't be helped, she was doomed to blush at least once in Reiner's presence! "Well, if you were in a jungle, I suppose you wouldn't be alive right now, because..I think you would end up picking up some highly venomous creature of the jungle and try to make it your friendly pet! " It wasn't as much of a joke as she made it out to be, Reiner was so likely bound to do something like that!! "Mr. Sir Octo-Leg Lover!" She teased. "Jungles are full of dangerous creatures, um, they're super humid and wet a lot of the time! I don't know exactly all the differences between a jungle and forest, but there are definitely a lot of amazing and dangerous animals in the jungles.." Not that she had ever been to one herself, but it did sound like a fun place to go for the fearless. As she found herself in his impressively strong arms, Ariel's face would once again match the color of the large pink bow in her hair! "You really must like making me blush. " She said with a soft giggle. "I believe you! You certainly don't have to prove anything to me. Though, next time you feel like dueling someone, I'll be happy to watch! As long as you don't get hurt!" She paused a moment, following his gaze to watch the view. "I wouldn't mind getting lost here, it's not like Midgar..Believe it or not, I can still get lost in that city..and it isn't always fun! " She nodded with a smile. "Mmhm! I love the view..It feels so serene.. " But that serene feeling she would speak of wouldn't last to long, as she felt her face turned to look back into his golden eyes. His next words would certainly stir up a raise in her heart rate, the way he was looking at her, the tone of his voice, the compliment and his leaning closer towards her ever so slowly! ..............So close..! .....Only to feel the sudden kiss to her cheek! After a second, as her mind put together what just happened in these very few seconds, Ariel's blue eyes blinked a few times in surprise, and a hint of confusion! Even a little embarrassment! " You...got me there. You think you're funny, do you! WELL! How is this Mr. Prince?! " It was his turn to feel her hand gently take his chin and turn his face to her, before pulling him to her while she leaned in this time---only to place a quick, innocent kiss to his lips!! It was quick, and not entirely romantic, but it was still a kiss! As she leaned back, and let her hand back down Ariel's face hadn't quite gone down in color, if anything, it was a deeper shade of red. Still, she held a confidant look on her face! "He,he..I got you back times ten!"

"I am feeling very curious right now..." Alisa said, ever since meeting briefly with Reiner, she could NOT get him out of her head! That familiar feeling, his presence, it was driving her a little crazy being unable to figure it out. "Let's put our minds together and figure this out! ....Or.." That curious look on her face, began to turn to that of the terror that was Alisa. "Maybe we should stalk him? " She grinned, grabbing Ephraim's hand. "He went this way, come on! We'll find him, and see what he does. Maybe then we might gain some clues as to who he really is! Yes! Young teal-haired boy, We will find out your secrets!! " The following evil laughter really did it all, Alisa was not particularly a sane, normal princess at all! Even more so, as she pulled Ephraim along, it was silly to think Reiner might be in the same area at all, a bit of time had passed since then, he could be anywhere! "....." Aiko meanwhile, watched from afar, her eyes staring blankly at the crazy woman. "...Reiner. You're mom needs a rabies shot. She's insane and playing detective right now--- for you. I think she's getting suspicious of you and is now acting like a super villain with her weird insane laughter. Good luck with that.." She said blankly, relaying the message to his mind, where ever he was within the kingdom before taking her leave!

___ ___ _________ ___ ___ "I know I must place my duty as a commander above my life as a man. And once I am crowned, I most certainly will do exactly that. However, I am not ready to divorce myself from my compassion just yet. I will find the balance somehow, the means to save my country and her people. That is the king I wish to become, and so that is the man I must be." "...So, same as always?" Ephraim responded, as Alisa mentioned just how "curious" she was feeling. She always tended to be rather nosy anytime something piqued her interest. "I seem to recall you mentioning the first time you met Tifa, you extorted her feelings for Cloud out of her, then rained a bunch of advice on her." Well, it wasn't quite as bad as he made it sound. Alisa was just a very perceptive girl, so when Tifa started talking about Cloud, she realized almost instantly what her feelings were, and then she gave advice like any good friend. Ephraim just made it sound more malicious to poke fun at her. "I seem to have lost track of the conversation. What are we figuring out?" It had been a short time since they met the teal-haired boy, so he didn't jump right to that being what she was so curious about, even if he himself was as well. "Ah, you're getting that look again..." The classic Alisa expression that spelled trouble on the horizon. Typically trouble for him! But this time it seemed aimed elsewhere. "Stalk "him"? Who is "him"? Cloud? Are you still trying to get him and Tifa--oh, the teal-haired boy?" He finally made the connection while seeking clarification. That seemed to make the most sense. In his defense, it wasn't the most obvious thing to realize! "I don't know if we should-" He was quickly interrupted by the evil princess laying out her dastardly plans, followed by, what else, evil laughter. ...Evil laughter. This elicited the most blank expression on Ephraim that he could probably manage. She... was certainly a character. Though he wouldn't be able to hide the truth from a girlfriend so in-tuned with her Serenitian senses--he did really find this kind of behavior ridiculously cute. And... admittedly rather hot, as well. This certainly wasn't the first time he had heard her evil laugh. It was like she practiced it in her spare time! "...You are the least normal woman I have ever met." He said blankly. "And unfortunately, I enjoy that." He muttered that part more to himself, but obviously she'd be able to hear him with how close they were--and look at those ears! Was there anything she DIDN'T hear? "We probably shouldn't-Ah!" And he was dragged along, ignoring his protests, as usual! "Right, of course. WE should stalk him, two of the most unsubtle people in the world. What could possibly go wrong?" Though both COULD be subtle in the right circumstances, they often weren't. With his love of battling and habit of protecting people, and her big personality and evil laughter, they weren't the most subtle most of the time! Meanwhile, said teal-haired boy--who was probably even less subtle than his parents--was far too enamored in his conversation with Ariel to even notice Aiko's yapping, it seemed. "Oh, certainly! I'm always happy to duel and improve myself. Though last time I went against your brother, he certainly put me in my place!" Yes, Zane did manage to beat him that time, and constantly rub it in of course. Though he never really got much satisfaction from doing so, because of how nice and jovial Reiner always was. Even when people were insulting him, or he was losing a duel, he was still always so nice and happy. Did anything really irritate him? "I'll be sure to let you see next time. I'm sure I'll do even better if you're watching!" He had to! Though that conversation would lead into perhaps a more interesting scene, as his teasing seemed to only backfire. After she gave him a kiss on the lips, he sat there, blinking several times, as though his brain were short-circuiting. It seemed like he was having trouble processing it at all! As his brain began to function again, he could only notice how cute she looked blushing so deeply--and that confident expression on her face, it was... very attractive! He didn't say much, but he did act, leaning towards her and pressing his lips against hers again, bringing her into a more intimate kiss. While hers may or may not have been romantic, there was no confusing the intent of the one he brought upon her, leaning even more against her, enough that if she was feeling particularly weak against him in this moment, she'd find herself on her back on the large branch, with the prince over her, his kiss only becoming more romantic--and more aggressive!

___ ___ _________ ___ ___ "I know I must place my duty as a commander above my life as a man. And once I am crowned, I most certainly will do exactly that. However, I am not ready to divorce myself from my compassion just yet. I will find the balance somehow, the means to save my country and her people. That is the king I wish to become, and so that is the man I must be." As Ephraim was dragged alongside █████ █████ █████? █████? His vision grew hazy for a moment, as it felt like reality distorted around him. Al█████████████████████. He felt very strongly like he was about to lose something precious. There was no light, no sound. It was as if time had stood still. This wasn't the first time, was it? Of course, he didn't remember these occurrences. But this... felt so familiar to him. Who's hand was he holding? █████? █████ ██████████ ███████████████... "Can you hear me... █████?" The name he tried to call was familiar on his lips, yet as he tried to form the word, nothing came. No sound accompanied his words. He was going to lose █████. How cruel were the gods of this world, that they would do something like this on a whim? What was he to do? All he had in this moment outside of time was awareness. He could not act. He could not speak with a voice that could be heard. All he had was this one moment of awareness before what he loved was taken. ...He could not? ...When had that stopped him before? "...No..." He shook his head. His movements were sluggish, everything he did in this moment between time taking a concerted effort--the mind's determination, the body's willingness, the heart's yearning. "...█████!" Still the same noiseless utterance. Once more, with feeling. "...█████!!" He refused to allow himself to be discouraged. This moment was all he had--and he would cling to it for the rest of time if that's how long it took to break this curse. "...█████! I won't let this go... This means everything to me!! █████! █████!! ...████a!" The realization overtook his face instantly, and he put every ounce of his being--everything he was, all his determination, all his strength, all his flaws!--into this! "...A███a! A██sa!" His hand clenched around hers, tighter, the only feeling he had in this moment. He hadn't realized how his heart was racing, the sweat beading upon his brow--how every joint in his body ached from this desperate thrash against fate. It didn't matter. None of that mattered. All that mattered was THIS. "...I need you... I need you in my life! A-" "ALISA!!" Suddenly, the void surrounding him--suffocating him--shattered, destroyed by sheer force of willpower. The blonde elf leading him might be startled by his sudden shouting out of nowhere, but her presence proved that he had disrupted whatever was happening. "...Alisa!" He was still breathing heavily, and when she turned to him, she'd feel herself suddenly pulled into quite the loving embrace. Something very rare for the king raised to be distant and detached, yet whatever brought it out, it was clearly fueled by some sort of intense feeling of relief. That moment between time--truthfully, Ephraim didn't even know if it had been real. And every second that passed, his memory of what happened became more and more hazy, perhaps proving it was a moment he was never meant to experience. Yet that feeling remained. "...I'm sorry, I... I thought I was going to lose you." He probably seemed a lunatic right now, but he could live with that. Leaning back, his hands gently remained on her shoulders, as he smiled to her. Just seeing her again brought him comfort, and clarity. "...Alisa, I love you..." He said, his smile turning to a more serious, still tender, expression. "I can't imagine living without you. No matter what obstacles we face, no matter what tries to get between us, I know we can beat them as long as we're together. Together, you hear me?" His hands gently made their way to her face, caressing each of her cheeks, as he stared into her eyes. "I love you. Do you hear me? My life can't be complete without you in it--not anymore. If anything stands between us again--if anything ever did--I will break them myself. Just stay by my side. Please. What I fight for is no longer glory, not defense or simply improvement. I'm fighting for you. I will fight, to bring peace to this world, because this is the world you live in. This is the world you want to protect. For peace, but more than that, for you. I will protect you--and I'll be damned if anything hurts you before I completely destroy them." He took one last deep breath, having finally managed to calm himself down. Just... feeling her so close was beyond comfortable. It WAS comfort. The greatest comfort he had ever felt. He... could never take this feeling for granted. He would protect her, and he would protect this feeling, until his dying breath. "I love you." He said, softer this time, before leaning in, pulling her into a soft, gentle, loving kiss. It was short, after which he let out a contented sigh, leaning his forehead against hers for a moment. ...And after letting that moment last for as long as he could, because unfortunately even an eternity would never feel like enough, he leaned back, slowly, with some hesitance. He was beginning to feel a little foolish, the more the memory of what happened continued to be pulled from him. Perhaps he had gone a little overboard? "...Ahem, right, so... we were stalking someone, right?" He asked with a slight, somewhat awkward chuckle. (( OOC: ))

Her hurried steps through the forest came to a abrupt stop, as she felt the resistance of the one she was pulling along with her. It was as though Ephraim decided to stop, right in the middle of their very important quest! When she turned to meet his eyes, her own wild, slightly crazed eyes in their new determination would very suddenly change, and no longer did she seem so eager to complete that silly 'quest' of hers, as concern filled those blue eyes. "...Ephraim?? " With that concern, she felt her heart begin to race in her own moment of panic. The feeling she felt when looking into his own panic induced eyes was not comforting, it was actually a terrible feeling. She didn't know what to do, whatever was happening, she felt completely helpless to help him.Not the best feeling in the world, being unable to help the one she loved. "Ephraim, what's going on?! " It was so strange, was someone doing this to him? ...Would Carmen play such a terrible prank? ...No, not even she would do something to this degree. A Reaper? That was the only source she could think of. It just had to be. And then..Her name, his shouting even caused her to jump a bit in surprise! This was really, REALLY worrying her. What in the world was happening to him?! There was such a unwelcoming feeling as though something was trying to pull him away. something was trying to..destroy their love for one another. The thought terrified her more then anything. "Ephraim! " It was then that she would feel the comfort of a loving embrace, an embrace she was quick to return. Suddenly, she didn't want to let him go at all! "Ephraim..." She began to say, a rare softness filled with concern still. "What happened? I was so worried. I don't understand what just happened...Are you really okay? I can get mother, if anyone is using magic here, especially a Reaper.. she can ---" But her words paused, the change in his eyes, they were no longer terrified, and the smile on his face brought a calming to her mind, and her own faint smile to return. "We are and always will be best together, right? I can't imagine moving forward with my life without you in it. " She said softly. "I love you..of course, you know I won't let anyone come in between us either. I'll fight for us, no matter what. I want the amazing future I imagine with you, and we will have it. No matter what tries to get in our way! " She nodded softly, they would both fight for their future together, and that was a battle whom ever was trying to fight against them, they would certainly not win. Her blue eyes softened as she looked into his own, closing them as their faces drew closer. The soft, loving kiss that followed between the two was exactly what they both needed, that feeling of their love, and close bond, the one nothing could break. The kiss would eventually come to it's end, but as he leaned back from it, he would feel his hands taken into hers. She wasn't about to let him go, not after all that. "Do you still want to? ...It would be nice to take our minds off what happened...though I'm not feeling so curious about him anymore..I would rather just spend more time with you." Alisa was one who could almost always slip right back into goofy, silly mood, but in such a serious, stressful situation they both endured, it wasn't quite so easily to pretend to be completely cheerful, and she was far beyond that, most would say she was acting crazy moments ago!

However, I am not ready to divorce myself from my compassion just yet. I will find the balance somehow, the means to save my country and her people. That is the king I wish to become, and so that is the man I must be." Ephraim was still reeling for several moments after his... bizarre, out-of-time experience. But whatever he had done, it had clearly worked. He remained here, in this moment, with the woman he loved. And he would stay with her for the rest of his days. Anything that tried to get in the way of that would be put down, one way or another. "I'm not... entirely sure. Every moment that passes, the memory keeps slipping away. I don't think I was meant to experience whatever just happened... but whatever it was, I think I stopped it. It felt like it was trying to pull us apart... I won't let that happen." Even if whatever gods exist in this world saw fit to pull them apart, he would never stop fighting to be with her again. He would defy the gods themselves--and defeat them--if that's what it took. "Well, you don't need to fight, you know. I can handle it. You should simply allow me to protect you." He said, somewhat playfully. He knew her better than to expect her to agree to that, and he knew it was for the best that they fight together. Still, he did worry--but that was natural for someone you love. "...But I know that as long as we're together, we won't be stopped. Even if there's a fight we can't win, we'll find a way. We always do. ...Not that I expect that to happen." But if it did, he'd certainly recognize it and figure it out. He always did, especially with Alisa at his side. As their loving kiss came to an end, he let out a soft, happy sigh as his eyes opened to her once again. He couldn't stop himself from smiling gently just at the sight of her, especially after that feeling that was quickly slipping from his memory. All the better--better not to worry about that moment, because he'd never allow it to come. He just wanted to live--with her. "...Ah, well. I'm certain there are other ways of taking our minds off that, if you prefer..." What could he possibly be alluding to in this moment? "...Though perhaps there are other other ways as well. Perhaps we could find some of our comrades and spend time with them? Maybe even do some sparring. I have been wanting to spar with Carmen for a while." If she was so talented she could dominate Alisa so many times, she must be rather impressive indeed. And ideally he'd manage a victory, especially because she had defeated Alisa so many times! Alisa sighed softly, whatever it was, it gave her the most horrible feeling, one she hoped neither of them would have to feel again. For now, though, she put her focus on Ephraim, he was here with her, and that was all that mattered, that's all she had to focus on. "I don't know, it sounds terrifying. What could do that?...and why? ...Let's, just try to forget about it. It may be dangerous to try to keep remembering it, if you were not mean to experience it. " Or fight it..would be the correct word, something he shouldn't of been able to stop. His next words were more of a comfort, enough to bring a smile to her face at his playfulness. That was always nice, especially after..that.. "You know you are wasting your breath with that one, though you know, on occasion, I don't mind you protecting me. " She winked at him! "Of course. together. We are unstoppable..aren't we? " She wasn't trying to be over confidant, but she did feel their bond, and their desire to protect each other, and their families, along with the world, there wasn't much that could break their defenses. Alisa blinked, as if she were sooo surprised by what he said next. "Oh..? .....I like that first option more...after all..." She leaned against him. "What better way to make our bond unbreakable, to make it impossible for even the gods to split us up..there can only be one way to ensure nothing takes us apart.." She leaned closer, whispering something into his ear. "It all starts in my room.." She leaned back again, a innocent, oh-so-sweet smile on the very obvious princess's features.

___ ___ _________ ___ ___ "I know I must place my duty as a commander above my life as a man. And once I am crowned, I most certainly will do exactly that. However, I am not ready to divorce myself from my compassion just yet. I will find the balance somehow, the means to save my country and her people. That is the king I wish to become, and so that is the man I must be." Though he wasn't in the habit of trying to forget things, it seemed he had little choice in this instance--and it wasn't the worst thing not to remember. "At least for now." If something similar happened again, it would require further investigating. But right now, Ephraim was just happy to be with her. And more than happy to change the subject to something a little more enjoyable. "On occasion? You seem unable to listen to my orders... We'll have to spar soon and when I win, you'll do whatever I tell you to do." He said with a small grin. Funny, since he didn't exactly have a perfect win/loss ratio against her from all their many, many sparring matches. In fact, she tended to defeat him more often than not! For how skilled and powerful he was, she tended to get the upper hand on him a lot. And that extended beyond the battlefield and into their relationship, it seemed. Especially with her winking managing to get his heartrate to accelerate! "One way or another, we'll handle whatever comes our way." He said with a nod. Even if there was a foe they couldn't defeat traditionally, they'd still manage victory one way or another. He didn't pick fights he couldn't win after all. Her suggestive words along with leaning against him was only serving to make that first option a lot more preferrable... as if it wasn't by far the one he wanted most anyway. And clearly, that's what she was doing! And as she leaned in to whisper in his ear, he felt a rush--a slight shiver run through his body. She was... really good at this... "...How indecent... I was only meaning for us to go count sheep, but you had to take it in such a perverse direction... What kind of princess are you?" He said with an obvious playful tone. A hand slipped around her back, pulling her closer to him again. "Though, I suppose if you're so insatiable... There's little I can do but submit to your depraved demands. Otherwise, you'll put a collar around my neck again, isn't that right?" A nice callback to her earlier threat when they first arrived here! Moving his other arm under her knees, he lifted her effortlessly into a princess carry, turning and walking towards the castle, to her room... at a rather brisk pace, even by his standards! "I suppose there's nothing else for it, then..." It was a wonder which of them were more excited about this idea! (( OOC: ))

With both of them trying to forget what strange, and terrifying thing happened with Ephraim, the subject change was a welcoming one. It also brought fourth that playful little grin Alisa wore so much. "Mmhmm, are you sure about that, honey? " She thought for a moment, hmm.. "Though, how bad can that be? What could my dear Ephie want me to do, mm? " It seemed her thoughts, and her mind, went to a little less then innocent idea's by the look on her face! WIth their following teases, though, it was clear where both their minds were. "Oh yes, a very extra special collar, with your name on it! You will be bound to me with such a collar, so that you may never escape!! Mhauhaha!! " There came that evil laughter again, but it was quickly silenced with a surprise as he suddenly picked her up into a princess carry. Why was it so darn cute when he did this? "Oh, i'm so glad you agree!" They both must of been very glad about that!
