Ciaran beamed at the other player, "It's a bit of a inside joke, but thanks!" She laughed and turned a bit pink as Cass gave her the once over. She'd be lying if she hadn't done the same....a couple of times already.
The purr made her blush darken more and she ran a hand through her water like locks before laughing. "Sure thing, Pretty lady!" But since it was on to business, she started to move over to where they would play 1v1. MANO VS MANO. Or well Womano vs Womano.
"Good luck!" She waved to her sparring partner before winking at Cass and moving into the booth. There she started up the game and reclaimed her character.

She was surprised her character had taken a heal before the round even started so overall she was surprised that's how it would have gone. It seemed as though that was a handy thing her character took 3 damage and then returned with a whopping 7! Trying to hold back her excitement she didn't want to get her hopes up since it was just a game and things had a way of turning around last minute.

Ciaran gasped as her hp suddenly dropped. A critical hit from the get go was hard to counter, so the woman did her best. Gaze focused on the game for countermeasure.
Her attack failed though and she ran a hand through messy waves.

She waited for her opponent's attack but their efforts missed. Attacking, her character hit anoyher critical strike and she couldn't help the small shriek of excitment that escaped her lips as it took out the other's character.

The base is so close. Kaileen ducked and jumped and threw her spear. Her and team are so close. The minions :have lasers that makes it a little tough. Kaileen felt kinda bad about the fact that her team are using up the rest of their mana to heal them. She knew that she has to show them that it was for naught.

At the last possible moment Kaileen's spear breaks. Kaileen looks in disbelief as another team manages to win. She letted her team down. Kaileen couldn't even look any of them in the face. She took off her headset and made her way to the exit to go home and cry.

Ciaran ALMOST screeched out of frustration but the other player was good and she had been defeated. Instead she sat back, grinning just a bit. A loss was still a gain and she'd come back when the game was officially released!
Since she had been killed, she exited the booth, blue eyes wandering doe the winner and their pretty green haired host.

Suri's eyes narrowed at the screen. They were...on a battlefield? Fighting...something? She did not understand the narrative, but had read enough instructions to call out orders to her partner and start down the top path, on the quest to destroy minions and win the day or something.
Eventually, one of the little creatures skittered onto the screen, and Suri clicked on it, prompting her character to shield bash the beast until it shrieked in cartoon agony and disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Oh.
That was actually amusing.

Character Name: Suri Ellis Team: Blue Prompt #: 3a POINT TALLY: 3 + 3 (+3) = 9
It took time, but Suri was starting to get the strategy of the game. Destroy the minions, take over the landscape, win the base. If not for the fantasy elements of the game, it could be something of a training exercise for the Negaverse...though, given the nature of the conference, perhaps it was true.
They were working on demolishing an enemy tower, and Suri was just about to start to give merit to the game...but then she attacked when she should have shielded, her clumsy fingers fumbling to find the right key.
Her health points bar depleted and Suri scowled. Who designed these faulty controls?

Attack! No, defend! No--how do these stupid controls work?
Suri tried to click out of range of an enemy tower, to retreat, but her health bar had gotten too low to survive. Her screen went red tinged and then grey, her own worthless shield avatar giving his best cartoon death. It was much less amusing to watch her own character die, she thought with pursed lips, but at least her obligation to attempt the game was over. It was no matter, she'd never been trying anyway, the only people who were ever good at these sorts of games lived with their parents past their thirties.
With a huff, she sat up from the computer station, trying not to look too thoroughly annoyed by the process. It was then that she saw her redheaded assistant mixed in with the rest of the rabble, and with purpose strides she walked over, to save her favorite flamingo from this poorly washed crowd.
"Miss Powers," Suri greeted, her hands folded in front of her. "I trust you're setting a good example for the company?" She of course had no doubts that Queenie would be doing her best, but it was never a bad time to use her teacher voice, remind her that this was no time to be slacking off. Speaking of which...she glanced left and right, blinking.
"Where is Ashley?" While she understood her pair of recruits mixed like oil and water, she still expected them to coordinate...and by that, she mexpected Queenie to keep him out of trouble and in line.

Reven jumped up beside the keyboard as Rory got settled, and then crawled back onto her lap, turned, and sat so she could reach both keyboard and mouse. It was tricky with paws but not impossible. Reven would just have to get used to them, no big deal. Just like learning how to use a touch screen or a controller.
She tipped her head back to look up at Rory with a soft snort. "That's perfect." She didn't particularly want to share her gaming time anyway. Which wasn't to say she wouldn't, if the teen really wanted to play, but since she didn't t was a non issue.
"Alright," she said as she drew the headset closer and cocked an ear towards one of the ear pieces. "Let's do this."
She started it up, was assigned to a team (Blue), and went ahead to select the melee class.

The screen changed and now her character was standing in the middle of an arena style map with a few other avatars around her and a horde of minions that appeared to be at her beck and call. Reven grinned as she familiarized herself the the attacks, the controls, and when she was ready she aimed her avatar up the path and got them moving.
Enemies closed in, and the kitten threw a target on one, sent minions to deal with it, then selected another for herself to focus on. When both targets were dead she repeated the process on another two.
She continued this strategy until all the enemies she could see were dead and she'd made it to the end of the path.

At the head of the path was a tower, and that looked pretty promising. Reven directed her avatar and their minions into it with a growing sense of confidence and, well, cockiness.
Which was a mistake. The tower was not as easy to navigate through as the mobs on the path had been.
Cursing under her breath the kitten thumped her paw on teh keyboard, button mashing as if her life depended on it. Well, not her's, but her avatars!
In the end she made it, but by the skin of her teeth.

As she continued on she did so cautiously now, protective of what little health and minions she had left. She kept to the main path, took her time moving through the world as she looked for anything that might help her regain a little of her lost HP, but there didn't seem to be anything like that. It being a tournament, she supposed that made sense?
Caution wasn't enough, though. As she headed over a hill on her way to the next objective she found herself ambushed by a roaming mob that out numbered her avatar and minions three to one.
"No!" It sounded pained, voice almost yowling as she tried in vain to try to stay alive. For a second she thought maybe she'd do it. The minions were going down, but she'd killed at least three of the mobs herself. But as the last minion fell the monsters that'd been focusing on it suddenly turned on her and it took less than five seconds to bring her down.
Standing with paws on the edge of the keyboard she watched crestfallen as her character fell and the screen went red. "Damnit." That hadn't even been that long, it felt like she'd barely gotten a chance to play it!
But...she knew Rory wasn't going to want to sit there while she tried again. She was eager to check on Otto.
With a sigh she backed up until she was sitting on Rory's lap again. "Thanks for letting be play."
