Sheldon hefted the sword in his hand and spun is slightly to judge the weight of it; not that it mattered too much with how little about swords he knew. But it felt like the ideal solution to get acquainted with the unfamiliar weapon. He was used to small things, darts with ropes on them after all. But it would do. Well, it would have to as he rounded to the course to face off a rather mean looking female from Moon.
She looked like she wanted to take his head off. Odd for a defensive division, or maybe that was a good thing? There wasn't that much time to dwell on it as they set off towards each other.
It was difficult to gauge just how the results went, it felt he had gone slower in the end nor was as durable but the damage had had done seemed sufficient. Sheldon felt like he won by the skin of his teeth; amazing really. But a victory was a victory no matter how small the margin and he would claim it willfully.
It would have been ideal to have the spider for longer but it shrieked once again as it had on their meeting and then ran off. Leaving him in the dirt with an annoying sword but at least some sort of achievement.
Aisha liked animals and she was pretty fond of minipets which was one of the few really good things about being in Life. The mounts, even though kind of scary, were pretty cool and so when offered to pick one.. she picked the fluffiest one she could find. Somekind of wolf.
It was a little agressive and thrashed it's reins but she was pleased as punch to get it.
"Tame your mount they said.." The Life hunter was holding her arm with a sour expression as the wolf now licked itself. "They are aggressive they said.."
It had ******** bitten her.
"Come on pooch-" She wound the reigns around her hands and tried again.
The mount didn't appreciate her attempts, this time charging and trampling the poor girl. She was battered and bruised and looking worse for wear but she was alive.
Somehow the wolf had gotten it out of it's system though and by the time she'd limped her way back over, the mount was rather behaved.
Aisha caught the wooden sword from the yelling Hunter and, with her 'tamed' mount, climbed on it to fight her challenger. She didn't recognize them but they had been waiting just like her for a chance to try.
Her wolf was energized it seemed, enough that she barely was able to hold on, but she was determined to win and even taking hits from the other side couldn't match her and her wolf's ferocity. She won!
Competition is what she was after and jousting seemed all kinds of dangerous, which was alluring. Every time she wanted something, she never got it so she didn't even bother looking as she wandered to pick something to joust on. What she ended up with, however...
"What am I even looking at?" The Sun Hunter scoffed at the cat... fox... squirrel... thing? Rolling her eyes she popped her gum in her mouth again, grabbing onto the reigns. At least it wasn't something slow, but she wasn't even sure of what it was. Some people were on big turtles so... This was better than that at least.

Either it was rabid or she just happened to get the one with the biggest attitude as it pulled away from her and rolled. "Get back over here!" She held onto the reigns for a moment, but they were pulled from her grasp and it ran at her, biting her leg and she kicked it off with a grunt. "Why?"

Hunter had some sort of magic as far as Iyari was concerned. After her leg was bit the mount had started to dig at the ground. Iyari was dusting herself off, but watched the Sun Division leader approach it and pet its head. With a lifted eyebrow she stared back at it as it trotted back over, purring as it lowered its head to her. "What..." Iyari tried to get an answer from Hunter, but he was already moving away and Iyari shrugged. Never look a gift horse in the mouth, or a gift... furry... as it were.
"Let's try this jousting thing."

Jousting seemed like the kind of thing Aymet could get behind. Spying was boring. Paperwork was boring. Alek making him rewrite every page of paperwork ten times over was double boring. This?
This was cool as hell.
With no apparent trepidation, Aymet reached out and grabbed the nearest set of reins that swung close from out of the frenzied pit of saddled monsters.
Iyari was raring to go on top of her foxcatweaselthing and waited for the signal to go against the other hunter. As soon as they were able she kicked back to her mount and they rushed towards their opponents. Adrenaline pumped through her body as they approached and she held onto the wooden sword tightly. Moments moved slowly until she made contact, smirking to herself as the other jousting hunter fell and her mount trotted away to the victory circle. "Thanks! That was fun!"

Well it wasn't... a spider, she supposed. Anna crossed her arms at the leviathan, wondering just how it was on land to begin with, and attempted to mount the thing. Her legs dragged on the ground but hey, at least it wasn't bucking her off.
It wasn't actually doing... anything. At all.
"Oi! Can someone help move his butt?!" she called to the wild blue jousting yard. Because someone would have to help her. Right?

Aymet managed to yank a turtle out of the cluster of mounts. It did not seem keen on letting him anywhere near it. At least, until Hunter said something to it. It seemed a lot less aggresive now.
Aymet looked a bit dejected as the turtle slowly lumbered its way toward battle. He twirled the wooden lance a few times. "These things are way faster in Super Mario games."
But slow and steady did apparently win the race, especially when his opponent's gold dragon was bucking around like an angry hypersonic pinecone.

The beast was not the fastest thing in the world, but he seemed to be sure of foot and well positioned in this joust. Or something. To be honest, Anna really wasn't sure what was going on, but it was fun as hell and she'd gotten the bloody thing to move at least so why not!
Though the lack of lances was also odd.
Probably best to not question the great order of things for fear of being bucked off of him.
The two lined up for battle. Joust. Whatever.

She didn't even care what the other jouster was riding she was so ready for this. She dug her heels into the sides of the leviathan and---
Went nowhere. Not even an inch forward. He mostly just looked up at her like "... and you expect me to do what now?" The other jouster was coming though, and they barrelled in and no amount of digging in her heels could move the beast!
So it was a good thing his mouth did all of the work. The leviathan simply clamped down on the front limb of the other mount and wrenched his face to the side, throwing both rider and mount to the ground.
Well then!

Asteria winced at the hunter's booming voice, and proceeded to cast her glance warily at the pen full of angry-looking animals. Did she dare? I'm.. I'm not scared! Petra's giggling didn't help, and she huffed. She'll PROVE she wasn't scared!
She walked up to the pen, wondering which one would be less likely to murder her. Settling on the large panther-like creature, she reached out a hand towards it. "Here, kitty, kitty..."
