Drayden and Gryffyn were relaxing, nibbling on a plate of goodies, when two salamanders wandered up to them. "Heh, think we should share, Gryff?" he asked the freshling in his lap.
Gryffyn giggled quietly at the appearance of the salamanders and nodded. "Yes, we definitely should. They look like they might be hungry," he said and offered the paler one a piece of cookie.
"To go with your ring," said some tall Nightmare as he held out a locket. "Um...thank you?" Zeta replied, unsure of who this Nightmare was and why they were anywhere near close enough to her to notice the ring she wore. It was creepy.
When the opportunity presented itself, Sid just couldn't resist picking the rainbow plushie that seemed like a good mate for the first one he'd won. He grinned and plucked it up from the vendor's table with a bright, "Thank you!"
Flax loved this time of year. The weather was just chilly enough that he could wear a hoodie in peace, and love was in the air. Hunter's Jubilee was just his favorite time of year, but maybe he was too much of a romantic. It had been almost a whole year since he'd asked Laurel - the love of his life, as far as he was concerned - to be his girlfriend.
And, ah, there she was. He'd hoped that she would have shown up at the festival, too. They'd both been so busy with classes that they hadn't had much of a chance to coordinate, and it was just his luck that one or both of them wasn't busy studying. Well, why would they ever miss this celebration? The school really went all-out, splurging on party favors for guests. He'd purchased a bouquet of flowers by the door, and he presented it to Laurel as he approached.
"Neat rock you've got there," he said, placing the bouquet in her arms, grinning like a fool from ear to ear for all the love in the world.

Sunan Sunan had to work up the courage to head out to the Hunter's Jubilee. He had heard so much about it but he would have rather headed out with a group of friends. But he didn't want to miss his chance to play some games and see what all the hype was about. In the crowd, he slithered his way from booth to booth before seeing a green haired child run through, followed by an orange dryad. He only caught a glimpse of them, but he was enthralled already. He made his way after them before realizing he didn't know how he would start a conversation. He noticed a Spectorfox sniffing around close to them and found his chance.
"E-excuse me! Is that your Spectorfox?" The familiar seemed to know that Sunan was talking about him, coming over close to investigate before sitting beside him.
Florence & Keenan Florence hadn't thought much of the Hunter's Jubilee, but Keenan made sure that they knew. Keenan wanted to make sure that they went and had fun and played games. The little Nixie was wide eyed and bushy tailed, pulling Flo around. "Look! Can I play that?" Keenan pointed at a booth that had potted plants and candies presented as prizes.
"Sure, we can both try to win something!" Florence smiled as they ran over to play. Keenan managed to win a potted plant for himself and Flo scored some chocolates that they would save for later. Nahmir would probably enjoy them.
Rune Looking for love in all the right places, Rune was ready to grab him something sexy, but he seemed to end up with something cute. He just happened to decided to play a game and, well, who could resist that plush?
Lotte Taking a break from purifying crystals for her divination, Lotte found herself at the Hunter's Jubilee. She was definitely excited to be there and maybe get something cute to add to her collection. She didn't have to try hard cause soon after she arrived, she received at cute little plush!
Gemini Gem didn't know what to do with himself that day. He had so much energy, he needed to be out of the house. After a few tries with some of the different games, he managed to grab some beautiful flowers. He had a certain someone in mind that he'd give these to.
"Flax," Laurel squeaked, throwing her arms around him while trying to juggle the flowers and rock. "I didn't hear you sneak up on me," she said with a laugh, nuzzling against his neck and tilting her head up to plant a kiss on his jaw before pulling back.
"Isn't it though! I just found it. It's kinda cute. We might have to keep it and give it a name."
A sudden squeaking sound from around her ankles made Laurel look down. There, perched on her feet and looking up at her, was a slime. Something about it reminded her of Dryads. "Oh goodness, did you get lost?" She bent down and offered her fingers to the slime to inspect. It seemed quite interested. Laurel looked up at Flax and chuckled. "I swear, even with the whole town helping out we only caught about half of these things when they were rampaging that one day. Seems like you see them a bit of everywhere these days."
The slime, finished with Laurel's fingers, suddenly made another squeaking sound. With a couple bobs it got some momentum, then made a leap for Flax. Laurel had to throw an arm across her mouth to keep from bursting out laughing.
"I think it likes you," she said when she finally got over her giggles. It was quite amusing actually, because the hoodie Flax was wearing almost matched the slime perfectly.
"My date?" Nashira looked at Vega curiously. "But it is a familiar... Why would it be my date?" She missed the joke. The serious-minded geist sighed. Vega sighed as well.
"Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevermind." So much for that joke. Nashira was still looking down at her little friend when a second specterfox approached them. The fox looked at Vega before dipping it's head and placing a small red ring in his hand before turning to Nashira. The elegant fox walked to stand behind her. She was now being followed by 2 foxes. "Wow, specterfoxes REALLY like you...." Vega wondered if he should be worried...
Vega:
Nashira:
Charon and Meadow
Meadow still wasn't pleased with having to be around Charon. He was so busy making crazy eyes at girls, that they weren't playing any games or having any fun! Meadow looked around until he spotted something he could throw at Charon. He picked it up and hefted it at the imp before realizing what it was. WOOPS! He just threw a familiar!
Charon winked at a girl passing by and then was suddenly hit with something gooey and strange! "ECH?!" He floundered a little as the poor slime familiar dropped to the grass. "MEADOW!" He snapped, and the naiad tried to hide behind his tail. Charon knelt down and picked up the slime, putting it on his shoulder. "The poor thing. Now I don't think you deserve this plush I just got you."
Charon:
Meadow:
Keahi and Kingston
Kington was trying really hard to get Keahi to say something to him. Anything. But the little bapho refused to speak. He was starting to wonder if they could. Keahi had to give the grimm points for trying, but they just weren't inclined to speaking unnecessarily, and talking to the grimm was pretty much pointless. ... However, Keahi did appreciate that he got her some candies. It was a start, so the freshing gave the grim a smile and held up a small plush they'd just found. A fair trade.
Keahi:
Kingston:
Atropos and Clover
Almost like a moth to a flame, out of nowhere, a love bug seemed to be attracted to Atropos's new salamander. She smiled and pat it's head. Festivals were sure fun! There were so many familiars around. She looked down at Clover, who looked rather put out. "Aw, I'm sorry honey. I'm sure there's a familiar here just WAITING to meet you." She held her arms out and Clover reached up. The dryad scooped her up and held her on her hip. "How about I get you a plushie?" Clover nodded happily. Atropos bought the little girl a demon-like plush, and she seemed pleased as punch to get it!
As the pair started walking again, a young naga approached them. "Hm?" Atropos blinked, staring at the young man. "A specterfox? No. That doesn't belong to me. Is it yours, Clover?" The girl shook her head, then looked at the naga and got shy, burying her face between Atropos' shoulder and her new plush. "There are lots of familiars around here looking for homes. Perhaps this one wants to go with you? It is a rather nice looking fox." She smiled at the young man.
Atropos:
Clover:
Parfait and Gallius
Gallius laughed as Parfait played in the grass. She was such an energetic child! He hoped that the stones he imbued would be just as energetic as her. She suddenly took a tumble, tripping in the grass. Gallius hurried over to her and picked her up as she started sniffling, on the verge of tears. "Aw princess, don't cry. Look, I even got you a present." He had picked up the little ring just before seeing her fall. Parfait sniffled and reached for the ring.
Parfait:
Gallius:
Miwako and Tien
Miwako was having fun, walking the festival with Tien. The little girl was a joy to be around. She was so curious, and wanted to play all the games, though in her excitement, she never won any. Miwako had just walked away from a game, winning a pretty little rainbow ring when she looked about her. Tien had wandered off, and was kneeling between 2 booths. Miwako peered over at the child as she crouched down and was teasing a vespercat with a feather. That was adorable! It seemed the little kumiho hybrid had made a friend.
Miwako:
Tien:
Thebe and Sesha
Thebe was actually enjoying himself with Sesha. The naga was good at games. "I want... to win flowers for my sister." He said softly. Sesha agreed and they looked for somewhere to get a bouquet. It was cute that he'd be thinking of his sister at a festival like this! There wasn't a place to WIN bouquets, but Sesha didn't ind buying one for the kid. Sesha did, however, win a fortune telling ball... thing (He had no idea what it was!) from a lottery he played while waiting for Thebe to pick out the flowers he wanted.
Thebe:
18 trinket Sesha
Fiona and Angus
Fiona did her best not to eat all the candy. After a couple pieces, she handed the box down to Angus to hold, or else she'd eat them all! (She also wanted to not get more crumbs in his hair, but she was to embarrassed to tell him anything, so remained mute.) She was looking around, and not paying attention until suddenly flowers filled her vision. "You still awake up there?" Angus said playfully. "I thought maybe you'd like these flowers, sweetie." She did! She took them carefully and hugged the wrapped stems, smelling them.
As they walked on, someone mistook Fiona for his daughter, and handed Angus a plushie simply because he was being such a good dad. This earned a hearty laugh from Angus.
Fiona:
Angus:
Setti:
There were so many cute games! Setti was having so much fun! She never knew below had festivals like this! Of course, her father would never have approved of such a festival. She snorted to herself. "Father was no fun anyways." As she spoke, a jackalope hopped up and sat just in front of her hooves. Setti nearly tripped on the little guy. "Hey, you should be more careful." She pat the familiar fondly. It seemed to like the affection and followed Setti the rest of the day.
Flax couldn't help but giggle as well, while the slime bounced happily on his own outstretched hand. He was still blushing from Laurel's kiss - he was never sure when he should go in for one, but his Grimm girlfriend never seemed to have a shortage of affection. Boy, was he lucky. "It's pretty cute, even if they are everywhere," he admitted, allowing the red thing to nibble on his fingers. It would blend into his hoodie if he let it get too far.
"What are you gonna name your rock?" he asked, a joking lilt still in his voice. Those things showed up every so often, but he was never sure if they were really alive or not. How would you know what they needed if they were? A volunteer came by handing out candy, and he grabbed a bag. Working around the slime, he managed to get it open, offering some of the sugar-covered chocolates to Laurel. The slime was trying to peek its head in the bag, searching for a piece it could fit in its little mouth.
Kyleigh was debating what to do next when something fluffy wended its way through her legs. "Oh! Hello there," she murmured as she bent to stroke its fur. She certainly was getting a lot of attention from familiars at this festival, she thought.
Seeing as his previous plate was ruined by his new slime, Taegan made himself a new plate. And eyed the slime now on his shoulder. "Don't even think about it, Squish," he warned playfully.
Bibiana paused at a table that sold what looked like crystal balls. "Oooh," she breathed, picking up a pink and purple one to shake it. She giggled as it landed on a heart every time she shook it. Clearly it was because she was with Ghester, the most adorable Grimm ever! She bought the crystal ball, intending to show it to Ghester later.
With a sigh, Lestari deigned to play a game. It was, oddly enough, a sling shot game. She took her time aiming and fired when she was good and ready. She managed to hit the target, and won herself a fairly cute bear plushie.
Bryony managed to talk his dad into playing another game with him. This one was a water gun game, to see who could get their horse to the end of the race first. Somehow, they both made it to the end at the same time. Aellys laughed and once again let Bryony pick their prizes.
Bryony beamed and clapped happily as they won together again! When Aellys allowed him to choose their prizes, he again went for matching plushies.
Tamandani hummed in pleasure as all three kids chose a locket for her. "Thank you so much!" she gushed over it and immediately fastened it around her neck. "I'll have to put a family photo in here," she beamed.
Crux laughed as she beat her siblings at a game and won herself a slime. Now she felt even with Maylis and Cinnabar as all three had won slimes from games.
Maylis cheered for Crux's win and blushed as the vendor handed out consolation prizes to herself and to Cinnabar.
Cinnabar smiled quietly and hugged the pack of chocolates to their chest. "Maybe we could share with Mama and Crux?" they asked Maylis with a smile.
Drayden laughed softly when Gryffyn came back to him with a bracelet. "Very pretty! Thanks, Gryff," he said and ruffled his hair before sliding it on his wrist.
Gryffyn was tapping his lip in thought, wondering what they could play next when he heard a meowing noise at his feet. "Aren't you cute?" he giggled and went down on his knees to hug and pet the pretty vespercat.
Zeta stared at the spectrefox that had apparently decided that she would be its new owner and suppressed a sigh as she reached out to stroke its regal head. "Thank the Nine most of my other familiars are small... You'll keep an eye on them, won't you? Especially my kidden..."
Sid tried to play a game, one where you had to throw a paper airplane into a target. And completely missed the target. Oops.
Errai moved toward a new booth, watching as he saw a few lights going on and off. He reached up when it was his turn, tossing a ball and winning a small plush bear.

Talora smiled happily when she got a bouquet of roses. They were so fragrant, she couldn't wait to get them home and put them in a vase, though she had slightly wished they had come from a person who was interested in her.
Pandora nibbled on a piece of chocolate from a box that she had received from the last booth. She pulled one out, handing it to Arion and smiled gently when she saw him melt at the taste.

Keriga lifted the locket, noting it's beautiful blue gem. It made him think of water and how it flowed. He couldn't help but admire how beautiful it was.

Kiessi held up the red ring they had received from one of the booths. It glittered in the light as they watched it.
Xersi was going on their way, hardly paying attention to what was around them when the vespercat approached them again, this time with a bat plushie in their mouth. He mused, wondering where it had gotten it from.

Dierdre tilted her head, blinking a bit when a revenant came toward her, looking at her. She reached out and it butted her hand, seeming to want attention.

Quella was a bit confused when yet another jackalope showed up! Was it friends with the first one? Either way, they looked like they were both following her now!
Percy remembered the cute neko that he had run in to on the grounds of the academy. He was silently hoping that perhaps he'd run in to her again. Just in case, he scooped up what he felt was an adorable plushie for her.
Delicate Rose Bud
Burvia browsed through the collection of trinkets, and found herself rather attracted to a lovely floral arrangement. The colours reminders her of Esrael and herself ... there was no way she could leave without it!

Frost fell in love the instant he saw the locket. It was perfect in every way, and he knew that Thoth would love it. Love was in the air, and Frost wanted nothing more than to be with Thoth now. At least the next time the two met, he would have a gift to bestow upon him. He prayed that Thoth liked it ...
