With the click of a button a second pokemon was released, the Rockpuff wagging it's tail and waiting for orders.
"Rocky, go look for more survivors!" Jason directed both his pokemon to help with the search, turning to see a group of trainers nearby doing the same thing. Overhead yvetal circled low, charging another attack.
"LOOK OUT!" He shouted, running towards them when a blast was shot out. He wasn't quick enough to dodge fully, barely having enough time to throw his arms up to shield his face from the incoming attack, before his body was thrown like a rag doll, hitting the ground with force.
"Ugck!" He coughed, his uniform burned away on his arms and revealing already blistering skin. Seeing the attack from afar, his pokemon bounded back to their trainer with haste, whimpering at his side and licking his wounds.
A nearby ace trainer saw the spectacle, feeling horrible for what had happened, and sent his rhydon to help the stricken man.
Chaos continued to spread, though they had helped the nurse Joy and her Chansey, there was still plenty more to be done. An elderly couple where split between a pile of burning rubble. It only took a moment for Sammy and her Arcnine to hoist the elderly man onto his back before the large pokemone bounded across the rubble like it was a simple grass hill. The two thanked Sammy handing over an item, an attack up that would help later.
They weren’t the only ones in trouble though. She noticed an officer down on the ground, his arm blistered and burned. Slipping off Blitz’s back she walked over, Ixxy sitting on her shoulder. “Jeez you look like s**t.” Shooing his pokemon gently to the side she reached into a bag hanging off her hip pulling out a burn heal giving his arm a spray. “It works better on pokemon to be honest but that should stop some of the damage and the pain.” Wait was that punk trainer helping an officer?

After running toward the battle for several moments, Cara finally got to the are with the most destruction. Yveltal hovered above, seemingly not taking very much damage - though there were a lot of Pokemon swarming around it and an equally large number of trainers shouting attack commands.
Cara looked over at Hawlucha and the two nodded to each other. "You know what to do," she muttered. Instantly the fighting Pokemon took off flew high up above the Legendary's head. Then it quickly dove back down, using its signature move to try and put a dent in the thing.

Holy- the mass of people in the cramped lab were rushing out at alarms and beepers and who know what else were going off. Gilly was mowed over as the tangled mass hurried out. There were shouts of panic as the massive pokemon outside started to turn and attack everyone.
Gilly watched as the pokemon trainers all fanned out, some attacking the massive beast while others rushed to help civilians. In her shock it took her a minute to collect herself and start to make towards the commotion. She shook as she looked above, coming from behind the massive pokemon. People were calling it Yevtel.
Yevtel let out an attack! Burning the ground in a semi circle arc with a powerful beam of energy. Gilly reached into her bag and threw out a pokeball. GO SABL- what she thought was her sableye... was infact magikarp.
Flip Flip Flop. Magikarp was released from his ball and flopped around on the ground. Gilly's heart sank. I mean she love him, and he has the heart of a warrior, but... She stared as he flopped around on the ground. Slightly panicked that he was going to seriously get hurt. She rushed to get him back into his ball when suddenly someone ran buy and stepped on Magikarp. Gilly's eyes went wide!
Magikarp slipped from under the persons shoe and flew into the air. Directly at Yevtel. As he flew through the air Gilly could see his look of determination. The face of a true warrior. ಠ_ಠ HE LANDED SQUARELY ON THE BEASTS FACE. HE TOOK HIS FLIPPER BACK, AND BAM! SLAPPED HIM RIGHT IN IT!

Cara squinted up at the Legendary, thinking... maybe it was listing to one side a little? Was capturing it even possible? They had never found out if the message in the lab was referring to the Legendary for sure or not. Welp. Only one way to find out. She quickly dug into her bag to see how many Ultra Balls she had. No way a normal ball would catch something like this...

After climbing a bit more normally onto his Dodrio's back, Ern looked around for more survivors. There seemed to be a lot of people fighting the Legendary right now, they could probably handle it.
Just as he was thinking there were enough people fighting a random explosion knocked one of the fighting trainers back toward him. And into a fire. "Hold on!" he yelled and rode Dodrio as close as he dared to. Then he jumped off and reached into the flames to pull the other trainer out. "Are you okay?"
"Uh. I'm fine, but. Your arms..." the trainer pointed out burns going almost up to Ern's elbows. "I'm so sorry you burned them helping me! I'll help you out too."
Ern blinked at his burned arms. They didn't even hurt...

Cara pulled out one of her Ultra Balls and held it loosely in one hand, staring up at the Pokemon. She was going to have to be very careful with the timing of this ... considering the sheer number of Pokemon and trainers running and flying around the Legendary. Still wasn't even sure it would work. But capturing this thing seemed like the best option to get it to stop destroying everything.
She watched for a gap in the battle for a few minutes... and when it came, she drew her arm back and launched the Ultra Ball upwards. To her absolute surprise, it hit. Opened. And the Legendary was sucked inside.
Quiet reigned for a couple of seconds. Nearby trainers followed the path of the ball and turned to stare at her. Cara stood with her mouth open in total shock.
Then there was yet another huge explosion as the Yveltal broke free from the Ultra Ball and started to attack again with even more fury. "DAMN!" she yelled. "I thought I had it!"
"If you want to help I guess we should attack," Ern mumbled. He got back on Dodrio, but also quickly summoned his Alolan Exeggutor since it was a stronger Pokemon. He rode toward the battle at a pace the other trainer could keep up with and once he was close enough, he stopped and pointed at the Yveltal.
"Exeggutor! Use ...Uhm, Hidden Power!" The Pokemon bobbed her heads down toward her trainer and then stared up at the Legendary. Balls of energy started to circle around the Exeggutor, going faster and faster until they sped off to splash against the Yveltal. At the same time, the other trainer also attacked with one of his Pokemon, though apparently both of their attacks were pretty weak.

Sin could only stare at October. "........" One could see his brain contemplating the roster. One could also see when he gave up. At least October remembered the word Pikachu. Though that pikachu-like pokemon begged a question.. "Nevermind." He decided it was futile to pursue this topic.
"Use them to keep yourself safe." Over the top of October's head, the hunter spied another person in need of help. "I'll be back." He turned to leave-
On second thought.. he turned back, and released Mareep. He accepted its overjoyous hug, but had to make it quick. "Hey, listen little sheep. Can you watch over this guy? Make sure to let me know before he dies?" It was very clear that there was very little trust for the constantly-slumbering hunter. While Sin didn't doubt his battle skills (probably); a giant raging pokemon intent on killing them was a cause for concern.
Also. There might have been a warning that Mareep was not meant to be used as a wool blanket.
Sin would return soon enough.

While she took a moment to think she heard loud cries from the Pokemon as others joined in the fight. With the combined effort it seemed to be hurt. And also enraged. Nearby a trainer had become trapped by falling debris. "Get out of there!" She yelled, moving over as an attack came down. From where she could see, the other trainer was backed into a corner and she moved to get at them.
An explosion set her back and she rolled on the ground, hissing in pain as she could feel the hot searing on her arms and she got back up, looking down at the bright red marks. It reminded her of when she grabbed her Fletchinder and it blew fire on her, but this felt so much worse. Worriedly, Erato moved down and landed nearby, chiming sadly.
"I'm good Erato." Iyari breathed in pain. From the smoke debris the "trapped" trainer reappeared. "Are you okay?!" They cried out, trying to help her though she brushed it off, eyes twitching as she touched the seared flesh. It was going to take some work to heal this, but they were in too dire a situation to really worry about it.
"I'll be fine." She glanced back to them again with a feigned smile. "We have something else to worry about." Iyari's bright eyes glanced back up to the sky again.
"How about together?" The trainer said, feeling guilty.
"Together?" Iyari nodded at them, and looked around. "...Good."

"Credit where credit is due," Lareina was giving the boy a stern look, "I highly doubt you took the time to burn her arms as such, therefore take no blame upon yourself."
It was always nice to see the immediate affect that application of proper medicines had; she could tell the scrunch of pain was already easing, "It shouldn't scar if you have it looked after, but it'll take a while to clear up."
She was carefully watching their surroundings, noting that a policeman falling to fire was quickly aided by another nearby; it was nice to see the teamwork. Clearly the situation was severe enough for her to momentarily forget that she originally wanted more of that savior credit for herself.
"What about a coordinated attack? Focus on a wing or something to bring it down and limit the area of damage it's aiming at. What do I call you by?" The healer asked her newfound companion, not sure what more she could do yet.
Someone with a sylveon happened into their range, and Lareina waved her down, "Nice shot! Want to aim together?" Because coordinating mid-battle was totally a thing, right? Aahh, no good, she still had no idea what she was doing. She gave a quick glance at her bag to check on what things she might have to further aid with. The healer frowned; not much to help boost attacks beyond the one attempt.

Oliver had never liked the idea of an adventure. He liked pokemon lots, they were the friends and playmates the nervous kid had grown up with in lieu of other kids his age. The pokemon never picked on him, and were happy to see him even when he didn't have any berries to give them. Being old enough to become a pokemon trainer was a date marked on his calendar forever in advance, but he conveniently forgot that many young pokemon trainers went on an adventure to become the very best there ever was... or something...
His parents thought it might give him some confidence, learning to rely on himself and his pokemon out and in the world, and Oliver had reluctantly set out as to avoid their disappointment with his cowardice.
The city he had arrived in was frightening even without the large pokemon looming over the high tower, and he didn't even get to the place he was supposed to give the note to before everything exploded into catastrophe and disarray. Yet he had already learned one thing from his adventure-in-progress, as his first action was to scramble for his pokeballs.
"Thank goodness you're alive." Stumbling over a piece of what used to be the ceiling, he went over to inspect Lawr before breathing out. "Seems the great attaction is pissed. If we stay here, we're going to be turned into cinders."
Lawr's Banette was already out, and deciding it was probably best to have something out to help protect them, he called out his mareep. The pokemon stood beside him, looking about and lighting up it's tail.
As determined as she was, Caroline had still not made it into the Professor's 'lab' before an explosion all but leveled the city in front of her. The sharp, panicked breath she took was thick with ash, and the smoke that poured through the streets made it almost impossible to see anything, let alone find someone specific.
"No....no, okay--" She began to pat down her pockets, trying to recall where she'd put her pokeballs. "I'm not--no, she's probably--wait, no--"
Had she not found what she was looking for, the anxious muttering would have given way to hyperventilating, and then she'd have been no good for anything. But the sight of what she released from the ball - a girl no older than twelve, preceded by only a brief flicker of a Zorua - calmed her enough to think more coherently.
"Hey, Six. We got a problem." The girl narrowed her eyes to give her best no s**t look. "Yeah. Listen, okay? I sent Mimsy into that--it was an accident, I mean, but she's--listen, I can't find Mimsy. We need to find Mimsy."
That was all of the instruction that the girl needed. She gave a nod of affirmation before snatching Caroline's hand, pulling both of them closer towards the inevitable danger.
